Another house design we thought we would share with you, built in the Plains but doesn't need to be here, It will suit most Biomes. Has a fortified bottom part made out of stone where we used as a workshop and storage area plus house theme and design on top.

The one thing about your builds I must criticize is how you do your floors. Suspended floors would always be done with the support beams running the shortest way (i.e., across the width, not the length). Wooden floors in the game have a support beam visible on the underside, and thus the planks would be running the length of the structure leaving this support beam running the width. Switching up the direction of the floor pieces may create interesting patterns, but it looks wrong from a structural standpoint and looks very odd from the underside.

How do you make grass grow back after leveling?

The Cultivator gives you the ability to add grass - it matches the grass to whatever biome you are in at the time.
I haven't been to the Plains yet myself but I'm guessing it even adds those nice red flowering bushes.
You can also put lily pads on water with it.
