- SCP 096 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as The Shy Guy.
SCP 914 is a Safe Class anomaly also known as The Clockworks.
SCP-096 is a humanoid creature measuring approximately 2.38 meters in height. Subject shows very little muscle mass, with preliminary analysis of body mass suggesting mild malnutrition.
SCP096 is normally extremely docile, with pressure sensors inside its cell indicating it spends most of the day pacing by the eastern wall. However, when someone views SCP-096's face, whether it be directly, via video recording, or even a photograph, it will enter a stage of considerable emotional distress. SCP096 will cover its face with its hands and begin screaming, crying, and babbling incoherently. Approximately one (1) to two (2) minutes after the first viewing, SCP-096 will begin running to the person who viewed its face.
SCP-914 is a large clockwork device weighing several tons and covering an area of eighteen square meters, consisting of screw drives, belts, pulleys, gears, springs and other clockwork.
When an object is placed in the Intake Booth, a door slides shut, and a small bell sounds. If the knob is turned to any position and the key wound up, SCP914 will “refine” the object in the booth.

The very fine setting usually applies an anomalous attribute to the matter applied to the things in the intake chamber. Meaning, him being more beautiful than the average looking David statue is infact, the improvement
I fully expected a kind of Narcissus or Aphrodite transformation, where everyone that looked at him fell in love and would die for him.

imagine being me, having done therapy with him across multiple dimensions and time strands only for him to suddenly be cured of his depresssion, putting me out of a job. being demi-immortal, back to being a d-class I went. at least, for the next 2b years.
The one thing that elevates 096 over most other murder monsters is his sympathetic side.
He doesn’t want to kill but some anomalous trauma forces him too, whoch only compounds the trauma further.
So this is a nice ending for him. It appears superficial at first but in the end it isn’t just that he’s hot it’s that he was remade into the beautiful person he really deserved to be.
With the amount of chaos Dr. Bright has caused, they need to make a new class that’s above Keter named “Dr. Bright…” 💀

The most terrifying part, is it he's likely still just as strong as the original version of himself, which means he is now the most terrifyingly powerful bodyguard you could have.
No, he gets most of his power from rage and determination. He will lose a lot of power since he has lost those feelings though. However, he will still be a very powerful scp, as he still can regain those feelings, just not completely.

@@A7ggEZ Rage doesn't necessarily have to be a negative connotation with killing absolutely everyone. In this case, his rage can be directed to a more positive cause; which is to say, protecting the SCP foundation.
You know it's kind of dark coming back to watch this after watching the 999 vs the scarlet king episode, and understanding better what exactly 914 does to living creatures. Knowing that now both means that researcher that used 914 to improve her appearance inadvertently killed herself and was replaced with a copy. The same is the same for 096, infact that might be why he no longer goes into a rage when viewing his original face, it's technically not his face anymore it's the face of his predecessor which was erased

I’d love a continuation of this storyline where David is offered a job wrangling dangerous SCPs like 682 after a containment breech, or them making sure the Yule Man sees David’s face then using his tracking ability to find the workshop and save the kids.
Honestly, I'm going to consider this the canonical ending to 096's story, he's honestly one of very few SCP entities I've felt deserved a happy ending. The fact it also includes the scientist that otherwise might have lost her job over her recklessness not only keeping her job for permanently pacifying a previously constant ticking time bomb, but also potentially getting literally the most handsome boyfriend in the world (likely foundation approved to continue as to not cause a negative reaction in 096), I'd say this is is a well-deserved ending for an entity suffering that long.
Kinda lowkey begs the question... what happens to Dr. Dan in this timeline? Since 096 is permanently pacified via giga Chad transformation, Dr. Dan will probably be executed. Kinda ironic, too, because he never actually destroyed 096.

I feel like at this point, according to this channel, SCP-914 is a machine which if you don’t specifically want something, you get something random. But if you specifically want something, you get what you want. I think that’s really nice of SCP-914.

If I remember the wiki entry and related tales well enough, 914 does sort of read your mind when transmuting the object. The mad super speed, super strength man that got mentioned in someone's else comment was a D-Class with a record for murder and other violent tendencies, the doctor in charge had read his record and that was his preconception of him. Perhaps the girl that put herself on very fine had a preconception of her ideal self, and the machine read that.

That fact that 096 was tortured by scp "king of the mountains" to become what he is, this tale gives happiness that he can be somewhat human again
Imagine being Dr. Dan, killing tens of hundreds of people, then you get told of a new change, armed with a nightstick, you march to the containment cell, scared. He's just cool now, and you are then terminated for crimes against the foundation.
Not only is he handsome and pure of heart, but he’s likely stronger too due to the very fine setting. They’re lucky that statue was in there, or else you’d have an even stronger murder machine.
One interesting thing is that if a containment breach were to happen now, perhaps David would be able to help them contain it. If SCP-096 was near indestructible before, what about now? Perhaps it could even go toe-to-toe with SCP-682? That would be a battle for the ages.

096 has always been a tragic scp, i think it's almost certain that it has no real desire to harm people in most SCP canons and i'm glad that, even in just this one timeline, it finally managed to find peace and happiness, not just being destroyed or contained so it can (hopefully) no longer harm people.

Considering 096’s origin story was he was an adventurer and having people look at his face made him think the king of the mountain was looking at him again, his new form must’ve made him feel human again, like he wasn’t turned into a monster for the king of the mountains pleasure.
This guy is so nice cool and awesome
He doesnt go just to the point of what could happen
But he animates every single detail of their characteristics
He could just go to the point and save time but he wants to remind us what the scp's can do and etntratains/teachs us
It just feels like a story with a happy ending

This was great. The only thing I missed is someone asking the new SCP-096 about its origins and history. That would have been one of my first questions to it, now that it can talk.

This was surprisingly wholesome, i honestly expected that SCP-096 would get turned into a beautiful creature that hates anything it views as "ugly", or that anyone who sees its face would be driven into a jealous rage and attack SCP-096

I really like this. I really would like this to be the canon book end of SCP 096 to have a happy ending, and to show even the most dangerous anomalies can change for the better under the right conditions.

He entered with a figure that made him handsome. If there wouldn't be any statue he would most likely turn in to upgraded 096 that would kill everyone. So yeah 914 is weird SCP.

This Theory is on the top of my list of the best what if scp story's I've seen good job and great concept
I love this new version of 096, hopefully more anomalies would've improved in a way similar to this with the machine, but you take what you can get.
