I use 2 gens ace 50c 5000mah 3s packs linked parallel. My friends and I go driving and crawling trails in the local forest. I leave home full 4.2, we are gone about 3 hours and when I get home they are at storage voltage. 3.79-3.81v the last 2 runs. Absolutely incredible for this heavy of a rig.

Awesome, i picked up a set of Parallel splitters so i will be running them togther and i just pick up the Hoovo 10000Mah 120c 3s, so theat should keep me running for a good 4+hours. Thanks for watching and commenting, stay safe out there on the trails!!!

Those should definitely get you some decent run time RAS! Here’s a few things I can recommend for the 6. The Spektrum program box, an extra set of front driveshafts (if you have access to a welder, tack the pins in the yokes & they wont fail at the pin..common issue with the 6 unfortunately), aluminum front shock plate/tower, aluminum/brass c-hubs (eliminates the axle sway, also keeps your servo a bit happier) & the rod end for the pan-hard bar is a fail point. A straight rod end & small spacer has been solid. I use the spare tire placed on the rear cross brace so the cage will rest on the tire to keep the body up/open. Also, a tow rope is a must! Theres been a few times I had to tow the rig out like a wagon 😂 but it was much easier than carrying that beast off trail. Bonus, you can store the tow rope in the tool-box or clip/tie it to the cage if you dont carry a trail pack/bag. The 6 is definitely one of my favorite rigs. Hope this info is useful for your 6. Happy trailing RAS💯🤙

Awesome, thanks for all the great tips, i have been looking for all the parts you have mentioned, except the drive shaft issue, do i need to just upgrade them to steel and will that solve the issue or do i just need to upgrade the caps to aluminum?. the tow rope is a great idea and storing it in the box at the rear is awesome. looking at upgradeing the servo trays and the shock towers next. trying to find them in Canada is not so easy so looking maybe at RC Mart they have all the Samix upgrades for the 6. Thanks again for the points of attention on the rig and i will forsure hit eveyone of them since you have the experience with it.

@@radioactivescalerc Absolutely, no worries brotha! I haven’t tried axle shafts from other brands but one of my buddies has with no luck. Not a lot of solid options in my opinion, but Vitavon may be worth a look (hopefully available in your area) for the axle internals. I believe they offer OD for the 6 as well. I dont have personal experience with that brand but some of the abuse I have seen other YT channels put their parts through, has me looking in their direction for my next upgrades for sure.

Great video! I’ve heard guys are getting 30 minutes or so with the 5000mah so you should get plenty of run time with those batteries. The Honcho body is far better than the Jeep as far as getting to the batteries but if you make/buy a parallel connector you only have to get inside once and you’d effectively have 18,000mah. I’m snagging one of these Honcho SCX6’s here soon myself. Take care, happy holidays

Thanks, i am hopping to get a good run time out of them, I herd the same for the 5000mah's that why i went higher. i will time my first outing so i get an idea how long i get. if good i will be getting a few more to havein the backpack. Thanks for watching and commenting.. hope you get your 6 soon, Happy Holidays.

I got the ZEE 5200 100C batteries and I get LOADS of run time. I got 2 for each of the 6's and I run them in parallel .. great batteries for me so far. Oh!! I got a 1/4 inch rod about 12-15 inches long, It just sits on the bumper area and props the body open. Usually don't need it on the trails. But for home? Perfect.

To be honest? You will probably find that You'll have lots of runtime on 1 as well. Specially these ones. ;) I like the brand so far. :) I have had one set for well over a year. I bought 2 more that are about 4 months old And as a guy who has had to carry this mo-fo to the car. It gets REAL heavy REAL fast. lmao All the best. :)@@radioactivescalerc

I don't think you need the Spektrum program box if you use a DX5 Rugged. The TX can program the ESC through telemetry according to Spektrum's video on adding the Rugged to the SCX6. My Rugged aux 3 channel is set to 60% and 55% throw for the shift servo. Change throw to 0% if you need neutral for towing. I worried about the 3amp BEC built into the expensive ESC. Browning it out (or burning it out) from servo load so I'm adding an old Castle 10amp BEC. I might be over thinking it with the BEC. Hopefully the cold winter won't drop the lipo run time that much.

Thanks i saw that video also, i have the castle 10 amp BEC also and plan to putting it in. i will be double checking my aux end point s one more time of video just to make sure i am good, nice tip about setting it to 0% if it needs to be towed. thanks for watching and commenting. looking forward to getting this big rig out.

Oooo nice batteries man, looked em up and they seem to be a decent price for something that large. I bet that will get u some awesome run time outta the deadly rig, more so cause it holds 2 and your not going to be drawing off them like you would be if you were going fast like a basher. Bet that will get something around 3h run time, if I had to guess. :) Peace!

They should be a good start to atleast get an idea how long I will be away from the Jeep, last thing i want is to go dead and have to pull or carry it back to the gladiator. Thanks for watching Durp as always, Happy Holidays!!
