RC4WD MILLERMOTORSPORT “FIRST TRAIL WITH ISSUES”
Welcome back, this video we take the @RC4WD Miller Motorsport out, we have some clicking going on and no brag break at all. So I try to make a day of it running it with no drag brake and a click in the transmission or diffs. And I came across the first Rattle Snake of the summer.
We have an issue with the ESC also seems to cut in and out every so often. This is an awesome performing rig that may just need an ESC /motor swap. Maybe the 1200kv or 1800kv Fusion SE, we know it will fix the ESC issues I was having.
If anyone knows what may be going on or what i may be doing wrong please leave me a comment.
Hope you enjoy, Like Share and Subscribe.

Very cool video😉👌💪
Thanks for the visit
Good crawl for what you had to deal with, like the wild life, keep being safe and have fun ✌️✌️
Ya i don't really like that type of wild life, i think i have a few of the issue sorted but still thnking of swapping to the Fusion SE 1200kv to solve the ESC issues.
@@radioactivescalerc, I do find the Rc4wd rtr electronics are a bit week over the years, also after watching the vid I notice you shared my latest vid through your channel, thank you very much I greatly appreciate the support, happy trails bro 🤘🤘🤙🤙🇨🇦
Ya not to impressed with this one, motor seems ok just the ESC that is not so good. Can't even get it to calibrate the reverse on it, it's like it only Wil calibrate neutral and throttle and I have it programed for forward/reverse mode
Bummer! Man, it looks too good not to be working well. Hope you get er all figured out! Gotta have that drag brake.
Love that terrain as well! I would love to have a few hours there. Nice, scale features.
Ya it was a total shit show, mostly my mistake for not putting it on the programing card. i spent last night working on it a little, got the drag break sorted i think and working on finding the click and why the ESC was cutting out on me. might just take the plung and change the motor to the Fusion SE.
@@bcochener it is a awesome location for all different types of terrain, later in the video a spent a lot of time in on location seeing how it could climb the terrain, i enjoyed that and i didn't go as far as i normally do because of the issues. I will get it out again with the changes i make and see what happens.
@@radioactivescalerc Fusion... I think you just solved the issue!
@@radioactivescalerc yeah, the little wash out ravines were just perfectly scale. I always like crawling in creek beds or wash outs for all the natural formations like that.
Nice run, hope ya get that click figured out easy enough. Maybe ya need a pair a 🐍 snake boots! 😅 ✌🏻😎
Thanks Donna appreciate your support, I will figure it out. Spent the night going through everything, go drag break working and think the click is in the trans
Nice run man, some of those climbs looked like it was pushing this rig hard.. Making it work for it :) Crazy snake too. Across the river closer to the powerplant, kinda go down from the campground, there is another path/trail the mountain bike group intown has made, its pretty kewl, saw about 2 or 3 rattlers over there in a short ride with my dad a few years ago. Was crazy.. I heard one, mentioned it to him, he hit the brakes, I nearly hit him so I wiped out almost on top of the snake.. lol was scary af.. lol I wonder whats up with that clicking.
Ya it got the heart going for a minute or two, I pushed it hard and beat the hell out of it, I have no clue what the click is, Spent time with it on the bench when I got home, I think I have the drag break figured out, put a hobbywing program card on it. Check to ensure all lockers were engaging fully, so might be in the Trans. Might have to tear into it. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Awesome wheels , those are what I wanted and was very disappointed that they discontinued them great find I went with the silver which are nice but not as nice as those 🤘🏼
I totally agree, they were not cheap but totally worth it. i go a set of black ones off of amazon for the Jeep as i like the black look on it better then the silver. they always discontinue the good stuff, not sure why they did that. thanks for watching and commenting.
Just started watching this video and touched me big time. I been supporting my mom for last 13 yrs. She has lung cancer. One day at a time. Sorry to hear about your mom. . ❤
Thanks Bro, it's hard to move on from the loss of your mom. i wish you all the best and for your mom, god bless her and her fight !!!
Thank u what length shocks u recommend for good articulation?@radioactivescalerc
@@mikeinvegas1 I like the 43 to 48 mm shocks, on this build I put the Injora 43m Shocks and i gets great articulation, i used the same on Both my Injor rock buggy builds .
I do really like the look of that truck. And the Gatekeeper chassis makes it even better! Enjoy!
I love the look of the body also, going to get another body and put my own preferred color on it but it should be a fun rig out on the trails. thanks for watching ad always, and the support
Great job on this vid bud, ✌️🇨🇦🤘
Thanks 👍 appreciate your support
Nice rig, I wish my local hobby shop got this version. I'm still happy with the IFS2 version it seems to work pretty well so far. I also upgraded to a fusion before the first run, I don't understand why they are still using a deans plug.. I would have tried the stock system if it came with a XT60. Anyways hope to see the new wheels and tires soon, and a run video! Cheers to the Zuul 🍻 and have a good weekend!
I am going to get the IFS version also my local shop will order it for me, the non IFS is the same setup as the ecto and the Gatekeeper and they are awesome capable rigs. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Any issues with the diff ring gear in the front stripping with the ifs2? I'm on my 3rd. They have lasted 15 each. Not really rough crawling either. Never had a problem with any other element I've had.
@@icyfs3036 No I haven't had any issues with the Ring and pinion gears in the IFS2. I beat on my Zuul pretty hard in my last run, and no gears have stripped so far. Have you replace the bearings ?
@@ManitobaRC brand new ifs2 in a brand new knight runner.

Thanks for stopping by Donna
Awesome rig RADIO man!! Love how you already have a brushless system for it :) Instantly better imo :) I like how its got a faux winch just incase u wanna put a real on there with a sweet metal bumper, very nice.
It's a sweet little brushless motor, need some new wheels and tires and a little body work and it should be a awesome little climbing rig. Thanks as always for the support 👊 🇨🇦
Congrats on the Zuul! Nice one brother!
Thanks Dirk, had it for awhile just got to getting it out of the box. Appreciated your support
Cool unboxing Rcfam 🔥🤘🏽👀🔥
Thanks GURU, brother the support is apperciated!!
I use 2 gens ace 50c 5000mah 3s packs linked parallel. My friends and I go driving and crawling trails in the local forest. I leave home full 4.2, we are gone about 3 hours and when I get home they are at storage voltage. 3.79-3.81v the last 2 runs. Absolutely incredible for this heavy of a rig.
Awesome, i picked up a set of Parallel splitters so i will be running them togther and i just pick up the Hoovo 10000Mah 120c 3s, so theat should keep me running for a good 4+hours. Thanks for watching and commenting, stay safe out there on the trails!!!
Nice rig there RAS , hope you have a great long weekend my friend!!
Cheers Big Z, you have a great long weekend also, rain and cool here. It's not great for trailing but I'm hoping to get this new rig out for a run.
I have a had my eye on that rig. I just picked up a Marlin can't wait to hit the trails with it. Thank you for sharing, and have a great Victoria Day Weekend.
Nice Jake, i loce the RC4WD Rigs, this one is different so i had to have it. can't wait to run it. Have a great weekend also my friend!!
Very cool looking trucks, nice you got one ✌️🇨🇦🤘
It a pretty detailed Rig, I am a bit of an RC4WD Freek, i have a good collection of them so far and i am sure more to come.. Thanks for watching.
Do dig the rock racers, looks like some fun for sure
Should be ab interesting rig for the Coulees, looking forward to running it. Thanks for watching!!
Super kewl rig man. Seems like some of it is a nightmare to work on though. But over all, really rad looking rig.
Ya if and when i decide to swap the motor and ESC out, it is a a crazy amount of work to get it all apard. should be a fun rig as is for now.
Finally. Great video man.
@@rc_newf I know right, thanks for checking it out, need to get some wheel hexes for it. i do not like the way the wheels are on it. time for a better wheel setup.
Man, it looks sooo good! Why are all the sick looking cage RCs always a bitch to work on (thinking UDR)? Cheers!
That's is exactly the issue, so cool to look at and run but such a pain to work on, I have been trying to find a set of wheel hexes to replace the Stock wheels and non of the rc4wd regular hexes fit. The Stock wheel set up is very scale but what a pain to take off and change.
The RC4wd bloody expensive yota wheels 😂😂and use socket head screws like the cheap Chinese wheels ,not nuts like the stock wheels or scale hardware even ..for the price they’re poor .nigh on £85 quid a set here in the uk …
Ya they are not cheap here in Canada either i think i paid $70Cad for them, but they do give the rig the look I was wanting.
I hope they have better luck with those fires this year. 🤞🏼 🍻
Thanks Brother, i sure hope they are not as bad either, not starting off good this year.
Great video brother, keep that film rolling and I’ll keep watching, be safe out there ✌️✌️🇨🇦🤘🤘

Cheers, thanks for watching, we may be able to get a trip planned we will have to look at a firm date, and I would suggest during the week as the canyon gets busy on weekends. Let me know what you are thinking and I will see if I can make it. I am starting to figure these big boys out also, I need to get some brass in the front to hold it down better.

Thanks Big Z, they are so much fun I can't leave them at home when I go out. The 1/10s may be sitting alot the summer. Lol👊
Nice crawling Radio Man!! Scx6 is a beast of a rig, only had a few struggles. Looks like it might need some lead in those wheels to help keep it planted down. That boulder field hillclimb was awesome looking man. Bet that was some good times out there!!
Thanks Durp, it was a great day. After watching the video so I could get a better look at how the truck was reacting, I started looking for some front end brass. Thanks for watching and commenting as always.
She sure is looking good out there brother. Awesome crawling and Trailing. :)

Hello, can you do a video on your small tire attachment for steering? Thats pretty slick....I'm wanting the new Rugged but my thumb isn't long enough to reach the attached lever.....This might be just the ticket for me....thanks
It works great. I took a small toy wheel and 3d printed the small mount and drilled a hole in the thumb control on the radio and used a srew to mount it. simple mod that works for me
How do you charge the 2s? I recently bought a gens ace imars 3 pro but none of the adapters go with the scx24 battery
I charge them with a JST charger adapter and on the balance board of course, I made the adapter my self for my charger. SKY RC T200 Charger.
@@radioactivescalerc i see i suppose i could try splice some wires ty
Really like what you have done to get to the different levels , I use a 50,50 paint mix of grey for my hils and then a 6 to one black wash , turns out really well as a rock finish , like you I also fill in the tiny holes but I use ready mixed compound . greetings from Northern Europe ....Harry
Thanks mate, it was a fun course to build still working on it all the time adding for details and more rocks and stuff, I do wish i would have thought it out a little more and added more real rock but it turned out ok for the space i have. thanks for checking out my channel.
I have the stock tires falkin wild peak on my scx6 which tires should I upgrade to super swampers or micky Thompson Baja
I only have the swampers, but looking for a set of Bajaj I have been told they are amazing, the swampers are way better then stock also.
Dude super rad content.New sub for sure!
Thanks for subbing the support is appreciated!! Stay safe out there
Lower that rc car. You get a better low center gravity.
Ya thats the old look of the rig, since I have put on shorter shocks and it has become a shelf queen as it is in min shape and a little of a collectors rig now.
Nice , keep th we m crawling ✌️💯🤘🇨🇦
Cheers Bro, thanks
Such cool trucks. They make everything look easy. Or the driver does… Is the Honcho really much quieter or is it just a difference in audio?
Thanks Bro, i also find the that the Honcho is quieter, i may need to open up the trans on the JLU and get here packed with better grease to get it a little quiter.
Heck yea Radio!! Back out on the sickest hills around! Too bad she rolled a few times.. lol Was kewl seeing the change up of the 2 rigs.
Thanks Durp, had posted nothing in two weeks had to get some content up, so spent some time editing the combined SCX6's in into this little production. Did a bunch to the JLU this past week, Can't wait to get it out on the trails, looks so much better.
@@radioactivescalerc What you add to it? Performance or looks? Or both! ?!?! lol
@@DurpVonFronz did the body up a little, put on some custom decals i did on my cricut, painted the roof and grill black. Resin printed the knight Customs door and roof hinges to replace the decal ones and also priinted the fron grill which is like the 1:1 grill. looks sweet. if you have instagram i posted pics.
The red buggy has what looks to be different Injora shocks than the ones that you have linked? The other buggy has the linked one's with the extended gold pieces that makes them longer. So my question is exactly which ones are on the red one? I prefer the shorter flex of the red one over the green. They look great! Thanks for the build info

Ya for sure I do now that the Stock servo works better in the honcho then the JLU. I am sure there will be some other differences as I trail them more. Thanks for checking the video out and commenting 👍👊
Still want one of these… looks like an incredible driving experience at that larger scale.
If you are thinking about wanting one, all I can say is just get it. I was the same for months then I just did it and now I have both version
@@radioactivescalerc oh man, I waffled too long back when they had the Honcho for 799. I think I’ll be in on the next sale though for sure. Still kicking myself a bit
@bcochener ya they are a hit to the wallet that is forsure, keep a lookout for a used or a another sale, you will not be disappointed spending the bucks.

I’ve experienced those soft spots first hand at horseshoe canyon with my 1/10 rigs. I just got myself a used Honcho, $750 and the guy threw in a set of mudslingers on dick cepek wheels. As you know that truck is $1500 here, so I’m quite happy to finally have one, even if it is used. Only had it a couple days but have plans to run it at horseshoe in near future . Great video !! 👍
Awesome, the honcho is a beast also, 750 is a sweet price if its in good shape. I am hoping to get to Horseshoe canyon again this summer also. the Coulees here are a little differnet then there. I found the Canyon had alot harder surface to to coulee. thanks for watching and commenting. the SCX6 is a awesome driving experience, got the honcho trailed it and had to have the JLU also.
I have a concern regarding version 1, version 2 and version 3, which was the last one they released, each of them has different electronics. Version 1 The touch is not as progressive but the receiver compensates for it, especially by having a second channel where without need to change control or other components can be converted to a brushless motor, easily and economically, then version two brings different electronics where the feel is better compared to accelerating the vehicle is more progressive but lacks channel 2 if you want to modify The electronics require changing all the components which greatly limits it. The control is digital, particularly I don't know how accurate or convenient it is. My main question is related to the latest version 3, which again changes the electronics to a spectrum and changes the control. Can you please tell me if this electronic also has channel 2 as well as version 1? Can this version number 3 also install a brushless motor on channel 2 without having to change the remote control and other electronic electronics? I am undecided between version 1 and version number 3, the last one that Axial released in its SCX 24 versions. Thank you very much for your suggestions.
Verson 2 is still my preferd for it slow crawl but i like V1 for it ability to use furitek products with it.
