    First! I personally use Awanfi packs from Amazon, so far, I’ve had them for over like 8 months now, and they’re doing pretty good.
    $24 for 2x 1500mAh 40c (or maybe it was 45c) 2s packs, not bad! I may try some Zee packs when these Awanfi’s wear out, the only issue I’m having with them is on one pack, the one I use more, it has been having some slightly balancing issues, but I think it’s getting better, it still runs and charges fine, and I think it was the same pack, that once, on my 144001 (when I had a brushed HobbyWing Quicrun 1060 brushed ESC in it) I somehow managed to run the pack down to 2.85v/c, don’t ask me how in the world I did that, but it happened.
    I took it home, popped it on my very basic LiPo charger, and it charged right up, and has been going strong! The pack MAYBE get lukewarm when running in my now brushless converted 144001!

    • @beyondRC
      @beyondRC Před 2 lety +1

      I have heard of Awanfi but never tried them! May have to give them a try. Sounds like one of the cells may be going bad but as long as its performing correctly then keep using it haha!! Whats the worst that could happen 😜

    • @The_RC_Dude
      @The_RC_Dude Před 2 lety +1

      @@beyondRC Oh, you have? TBH I never heard of them until I saw them on Amazon, but to be fair I didn’t really do a ton of prior research on budget LiPos.
      Yeah, one of the cells was wonky, which probably led to the unbalanced voltage. I never know what’s really going on in the LiPo when stuff like this happens, the same thing happened to the stock blue 1500mAh LiPo that came in my 144001, and one of the balance leads cam un-soldered after ~1.5 years of use 😬😬, so I never did manage to save that stock pack.
      As I said, the wonky pack is now more stable, I’m guessing maybe 5-10 more cycles on it and it’ll be near normal, hopefully, it still runs well and everything, no noticeable performance difference, and my basic LiPo balance charger still charges it fine, so thats good. Yeah, get yourself one, I’m interested to know your thoughts!
      I will say, the quality and construction of the pack is above average (IMO), the packs have 12awg wires, for a 2s 1500mAh (stock Wltoys packs have 14awg wires), and the little balance-lead-extender-grip-pull-thingies which should prevent the balance wires from getting un-soldered over time! The deans connectors also have little ridges for extra grip.
      As far as I can tell, all the other Awanfi packs have a similar good value and construction, they even make a couple of NiMH packs for those who run NiMH batteries. I think Awanfi has some hard case packs too, but don’t quote me on that. The two 2s 1500mAh’s I have are the standard size, so they fit snugly in the 144001’s battery tray, you don’t need to move the front battery bracket to the farther location.

    ZEEE Batteries are definitely among some of the best budget friendly batteries out there that I have tried. I own quite a few of them & over a year later, they are still performing well on my bashers. For speedruns however, better off with CNHL G+Plus series, budget friendly ones at least.
    And anyone who says "why not get an wltoys" .... Well, they just haven't tried an Arrma yet 😂. I own a few Arrmas, including the Typhon 6S which is now over 1.5yr years old. The car has gone through serious abuse between bashing and speedruns & its still going strong with VERY little repairs. I just finished stretching her out & customized her for speedruns. Just pushed 99mph on her 1st test run on 4S.
    I have also owned several wltoys cars, so I know how their quality stands. So yes, I can compare apples to apples for those who may be quick to snap.
    I even own several traxxas cars & they themselves can't compare to Arrma. And when it comes to suspension, nothing so far that I have ran can compare to Losi. They truly are something else, the best out of the box suspension I have ever experienced.
    Just my honest thoughts and opinions 🤗

      No higher the C rating the better, the electronics will only pull as much power they need so having a high C rating helps give you the extra head room. Anything high performance I would always recommend 100c or above.

I balance my batteries and cycle them often and if still had multiple power Hobbies die on me. I snore them at the correct 3.85 V and if I'm running them often I'll leave them at just under 4 per cell and do a quick charge just before running and I still had three or four power Hobbies die on me in a year or less 😢 Zee batteries are a lot less and you can find deals when you buy 2 at a time and ZERO issues yet.
