Dory and I invited some friends out to go backpacking at the Noxubee Hills Trail System! 2 Pints has been here once, but Gabe has not. We camped at the car Friday and then started hiking Saturday morning. We enjoyed some sausages when we got to camp and had a big Ole party! Then we hiked a few miles out and went to the Chinese Buffet! Join us as we finish our hike!

Woodall Mountain in Tishomingo is the highest point in the state (806). Not terribly far from the Nox but those hills youre in are some of the other high points for the state. I actually think there is a part in log jump that is over 680.

Those sausages are always a must when I go camping, they are delicious!
Nice hike and makes me want to get over there soon. A buffet is always motivation to hike faster..... or a bacon cheeseburger. That's usually my after hike craving. Glad you're taking advantage of the good weather!

It really is! It started with just Stu, then he got me into it, and now I got a few of my friends into it! Hopefully I can inspire more people to start hiking. And maybe so, I don't have strange dreams, but I've heard some crazy noises out there for sure.

Dogs and bratwurst make good camp food... I don't think I would do well camping in the Mississippi humidity mixed with cold... But the hike looked great.
The humidity isn't too bad in the winter (so I think), but it definitely isn't fun during 3 seasons! It was a fun hike, I'm glad my friends could come along!
