- This year, I'm trying out some new shoes! I wanted something with more padding and a thicker midsole to help prevent IT Band issues. Come check out my first impressions on the TOPO Pursuit

Had Altra for 5 years. Switched to Topo pursuits 18 months ago.. Love them. Not going back to Altra. Topo has much better grip from sole and lasts twice as long. More arch support and better mid foot support... Better ankle lock, no rock plate but much better protection. Mid sole doesn't flatten as much over time. Altra feel like slippers, but get too soggy over time. But, you will notice a more arch support and mid foot hugging from topo. Plus topo doesn't feel tippy like Altra.
They have been very good for me on the trail! The past trip I did, my feel felt amazing the whole time! They don't get sore overtime either like the LP7's
My experience, exactly
I used Solomons for a long time and still have a pair but wanted to use the Altra’s for the wider toe box. They’ve worked great so far but gonna try the Olympus next for a little more cushion also. I’ll have to check the Topos out also. Thanks for the info!!
I wanted to try a pair of Solomons, but they only had kleet bottom ones, and mid cut shoes
@@polesofdestinyhiking Check out Salomon's trail running shoes. I think Thundercross would be great for hiking.
Tried Topos. Found them far too stiff. Went back to my Altras as they always felt perfect for my feet.
The altras were really good! I liked them, but they were causing my feet to over pronate. I wish I can still wear them, but hopefully, this is a good alternative
Topos are not zero drop (apart from a couple of models) so they are not a good comparison for someone who uses Altras for the wide toe box AND zero drop!
The Topo Persuits are a zero drop version, I would say it's fair to compare that particular shoe to the Lone Peak 7
It is very difficult to hear you speak with music so loud.
Thank you for the feedback. I still need to work on my sounds in the video. Just when I thought I had it lol I'll get it right in the next. Thank you for watching!
