I personally prefer his origin in arkham better mainly because it’s more realistic than him being thrown in a magic green pit and coming back to life or superboy punching reality or stuff like that. It’s definitely sadder but it adds a lot more depth to his character. Btw he does become the red hood at the end of arkham
Magic exists in DC comics, the Lazarus pit was established well before the Jason story. I still like the normal origins, but honestly the Arkham one makes him hating Bruce wayyyy more justified.

I love it more too because its so sad that this whole time joker had jason in the same asylum batman always sent the joker to, its ironic, batman EVERY time he decides to send joker there instead of killing him sentenced jason to severe torture. And i love that the comics added the part with him watching joker over bruce and talking with joker, really adds a mindfuck and makes u eanna play the game again and squint at the ceiling as hard as you can to find him and see id hes there lmao,obviously they didnt plan it that far like thatbut they were smart adding hints towards things thst could result in amything like the wheelchair or the one reference to jason todd in the game. Those could have been anything even barbara or some random person but they had use for jason in knight so they canonically sent back and remastered it and added a whole room where jason was tortured.

Spawn I wouldn’t say that. He only roughed him up a bit in the comics before blowing him up. Arkhamverse took it to the next level. Despite the flack it gets, I think it’s the best version of the Red Hood origin story.

Either way Jason still had some fucked up shit happen to him by the Joker causing him to change his persona, not to mention his childhood still sucks either way...but in my opinion, the Red Hood persona is better than the Arkham Knight persona

Really liked the Arkham Knight character in the game but too bad it wasn't someone completely new. Hope they would put that character into the DC Rebirth. Definitely want to see more of AK and his stories.

What's frustrating is that Batman never looked for him. He just decided he was dead without finding a corpse. Jason was tortured so much.. Dam it kinda hurts as a reader
Actually, he did look. But Joker, after a few days of torture, made that film in which he fake kills Jason. I know it doesn't look like that in the flashbacks, but Jason's mind was so damaged that he could have mixed up a few of his memories, not to mention that Joker is so manipulative that he could have showed those flashbacks to Batman purposely in an incorrect order.

@AdventureCorpist I want a Garth Ennis revenge style storyline based in the Arkham Universe where Red Hood goes around and unleashes hell on Joker, Harley Quinn, and every single person who assisted Joker in the torture and then Red Hood goes after Batman and The GCPD and all of Arkham Asylum

Actually Genesis in an alternative universe. There numerous contradictions like Bane's death who is alive and well in the Game as stated by his Gotham Story, Arkham Jason has his comic origin in his bio while Genesis Jason is completely different and Harley wasn't involved in Jason's torture, if you let her speak during her encounter with Robin, she simply states that Joker told her what happened with Jason Todd. She doesn't seem to know let alone being involved. So Alternative universe it is.

Well, Jason has always been more of an anti-hero, so I think that'd really make him sorta neutral.
This is the first comic I ever bought! It came out sometime last year and I was at my local shop here in Arlington Texas trying to find something to start with. I saw this and was like Can't go wrong with Batman. I was even more pleasantly surprised story line. All very intriguing. I hope you do the next installment soon!!

Such a great series of games. I love how the Joker/Batman dynamic is explored and I would be totally fine with Jokers death and being a part of Batmans subconscious being written further. The Arkham Knight was also an awesome character for Jason Todd as well. I love Red Hood but Damn. This was stellar.
Jason actually turned to red good after batman confronted him and apologizes for his actions and Jason even saved Bruce when he was kidnapped by Scarecrow.
I'd love to hear you tell more of the Arkham Knight, I read several of the issues but never got to finish it
