No matter who the comic version of Arkham Knight is, we all know Jason Todd will always be the original...
it's ironic, really, the red hood was jokers original alias, before he became the joker, then jason came back and became the red hood. but with this, he was first arkham knight, THEN the red hood, and now someone else stole his former alias,
I mean, at least the comics one is an original character, similar to what Rocksteady promised. The character isn't that original when they put Jason under the mask.

But in this case, The Arkham Knight was created "Originally" from the video game. And then stolen and butchered the origins to the comics to make it officially"canon". Like they did with Harlet Queen. Doesn't Count
@@johncastle1984 Still, the comic version is closer to what was originally promised. I(and most others) were hoping to see the Batfamily including Jason to fight the "original" character in the game. Originally, the name, "Red Hood" was Jason taunting Joker while hunting him, and to taunt Batman by being his greatest failure. The game butchered it by making him become Red Hood for no reason.
So her character is basically vicky vale’s Lady Arkham origin with Jasons Arkham Knight look

Theres something really interesting about the asylum's patients having a mutual respect for someone like that and actually wanting to protect them
I like this story
Its cool yet kinda dumb at the same time. It kinda has the characteristics of a Mary Sue. A character of such unreasonable charisma that total psychos and maniacs (people that simply lack conventional emotional functions) suddenly act sane and good. I personally would like a story of her upbringing as she one by one wins over each villain (as well as her mother obviously).
@@ceresbane in my personal opinion is that a Mary Sue is perfectly fine if the Mary Sue is the antagonist in the story because then that person is an extremely formidable villain.

Only thing that bothers me is that Arkham Knight is another one of those villains who actually believes she is doing the right thing, even though many innocent people died because of her. Her light show caused someone to run over his own brother. I am just so annoyed by those type of characters.

Honestly i didn't mind the arkham knight being jason todd because it was a sort of twist on the character and sort of a build up to him becoming the red hood
I don't know man, it just seemed really hackneyed and superficial. I didn't feel that it fit well even though I love Jason Todd as a character

@@omega1445 they never tried to hide it. The main give away was "Hey pre-order Arkham Knight and get to play as Red-Hood". Like why include him if he wasn't going to be in the game, so it was pretty easy to figure out

That's the point, we weren't given the bait and switch like in the game where we were promised an original villain only for it to be revealed to just be Jason.

Personally I like the old Arkham knight design more also I don’t like how the new one is like a medieval knight. I would like if she was like a ex military type person who fights with guns and tech like the original.
i think i'd prefer if they just took the arkham knight as is and found a way to canonize it, maybe as like another dimension's jason todd like they did with the batman who laughs, the arkham knight as a woman in my head just doesnt have the same punch as todd did, because when i read her lines, i default to jason todd's demeanor and tone, along with the effects the helmet gives him, and to me thats the voice of the arkham knight, thats the sound and persona to his now iconic helmet. Not that it cant be done as someone else, but he was made as such a strong character in his identity to other villains and antiheros we've had that now to present a woman who uses the same suit design but instead uses a sword and shield and on top of it her personality just doesnt stand out to me, she brings down the title of arkham knight.
I prefer jason todd's militaristic, pistol weiding, no-bullshit heart-on-his sleeve hardass personality.
I think both would be better plus more realistic
Also, anyone else just waiting for an event that gets all the "evil batmen" to work together? I dont mean the ones from the dark multiverse, but Prometheus, Wrath, and I think Owlman if he's still around.
Pretty sure Owlman got manhattened at the end of Darkseid War.

Their backstory is actually rather compelling, and I like how they're inverting Batman's MO by being more literal in the knightly sense and using light in their scheme as opposed to darkness and shadow. But I'm on the fence about the authors' more medieval take on their design. I hope they show up in the future with a design like in the Arkham Knight game for both them and the minions, or like Taskmaster from the Spider-Man PS4 game and the upcoming Black Widow film; that more modern, more tactical take with military-inspired sensibilities, yet retaining the swords and bows. As the Knight is now, they look like a giant action figure, and the minions look bland and uninspired.
I have to ask. Why do you keep saying "their" and "they"? Astrid Arkham isn't a non-binary character. She's a woman. It's okay to say "she".

If joker and Harley ware both active when she was born, doesn't that mean she can't be much older than Damien, but she looks like she's as old as Dick or Jason,
Bruce first became batman when he was 26 or 27, he's currently 35, joker wasn't active until his second year as batman, and Harley met joker when she was in her mid 20's when she met joker, and she's currently 31, meaning joker and her have been active for only 6 years with means that the Arkham night can only be 6 years old,
Now I want to see a six year old supervillain go toe to toe with Batman
I like the story but it’s lacking in the 3 hours of bat tank fights /:

I like it a technically new villain that's a female that has a samus mixed with azrael kind of feel.
shes more closer to the villains since they liked her mom and took care of her as a kid.also has a sad origin story and hell if all the villains looked out for her and her mother then you know that's gonna set up good a good plot for many villain team ups and hell if the joker the joker with a high ass kill count killed robin ,crippled batgirl, blow up a school joker.of all peple reads you story's then you know your doing something right hope we get more of this Arkham night

You would be correct, there isn't as many female villains as there are male villains in DC. Although there are quite a few female villains in Wonder Woman.
thank you for telling us ahead of time that this arkham knight wasn't the red hood... I would've been super pissed if I wasn't forewarned. kept watching the rest of the story out of respect for that move.
I prefer this version, tbh. Arkham Knight and Red Hood were advertised separately, giving the audience a false hope that the Batfamily(including Jason) would team up against Arkham Knight. They even said that Arkham Knight is an "original" character. Jason isn't an original character. This version fits that better.

@@trevorphilips9065 No. Jason Todd already existed prior to the game. An original character and an original identity to a pre-existing character are two different things. The Arkham Knight in this comic is an original character.

I honestly find this "new" character kinda cool as the ideology behind her feeds into nature vs nurture she was raised to believe Batman killed her mother as she was around his villains I would not be surprised if she was still heading to Arkham only to realse her "friends" and have them at her side. Being unaware of thier true nature she is kinda another Horror movie fun house mirror of Bruce wayne. As she likely believes whats Batman is doing is evil and her friends are good. So will be interesting seeing how she plays out.

This looks good, a vigilante that remembers the villains are sick not just rogues. It's like a hardcore version of the animated batman.
Are we going over look that everytime someone tries to prove the bat wrong a ton of people get hurt by their actions proving him right or we're going the "hurrr the bat is bad" route.
Late reply but I agree. Your comment points the reason why her vision doesn’t make sense to me. Her actions contradict what she says/intends, so it just kinda ruined the story for me. She’s better off just saying she’s bitter against Batman and she wants him to suffer by attacking Gotham.
They seemed to have retooled and almost narrowly stealing the ideas of The Arkham Knight from Batman Arkham Knight and Telltale Batman's Lady Arkham, and then fused the two together.

Redsiren I guess they didn’t want people figuring out who he was before the game came out for people can get the game to find out or confirm their suspicions on who the ArkHAM knight was

Redsiren If they used an original character then the connection to Batman wouldn’t have been as great. Sure you can argue Jason was just shoehorned in, but I think it makes sense that it should have been Jason with the promise of an “original character” so that way people who didn’t immediately say it’s Jason, would actually see the reveal in a positive light, or to confirm the theories. Point is they said he was original because if they said it was Jason, it would have ruined the point of the reveal.
she’s a good take on the Arkham knight, and I think for comics she may work well. But I still prefer Jason more, as red hood and his Arkham knight are my favorite dc characters

Batman is the villian of DC. He took over Gotham. Will manipulate and control anyone to meet his ends, his own ego often making things worse.

I guess it's vaild but all these problems exsisted before. Batman should exist but he does because of a failed system. Like cold the cops handle Mr. Freeze, Posion Ivy, hell the Penguin is just a gangster and the cops can't do anything. Gothem just sucks.

Batman's man thing is organized crime but now all the stories are just batman's personal stuff not the gangsters or villians. @@hosuerodriguez8262 then why doesn't Bruce invest in Gotham's security forces more instead of using his wealth for his past time of "fighting crime"? He has PTSD over his parents death and takes it out in brutal fashion on any thug. Bruce himself explains it in "cold days". He is no different than the masked criminals he beats up, he just uses their crime as an excuse. He ignores the law and constitution all the same.

It's funny that you upload this now, I've recently started playing Arkham Knight again for the first time in a few years. I had forgotten how beautiful the game was...and how much it could make me hate the Batmobile.
I am on the same boat. Playing it after re playing Asylum and City and visually it is still one of the prettiest games this gen, combat is the best it has ever been but oh man the Batmobile and less fine tuned predator sections really drag it down
@JOE knows for me I hated the batmobile. I wish Pual dini wrote the game but he wne t to marvel after working on city. Wanted a bigger role for Hush. Arkham Knight was a lame, that had a lame reveal to be Jason Todd. Scarecrow was just a background character that did nothing but Brad and rant on a TV screen.

I liked the part about the relationship the villains had with Ingrid and Astrid. It was a nice touch having Grundy as a protector and Joker read her stories

I like this new take on the Arkham Knight way better tbh. Like not only was the reveal of Jason Todd as the Arkham Knight a huge let down, mostly because they said that it definitely wasn't Jason Todd, this character gives it at least a connection to the name Arkham so it makes sense. They just gave Jason the name Arkham Knight before to keep in line with the trilogy of Arkham games but it didn't really work in my opinion.

I like the origin story and the character...but not so much the execution of it. It's just not as impactful as Jason's Arkham Knight in my opinion.

I think I prefer the Arkham Games version, I mean the more mechanical realistic look as it’s straight up cooler.
No matter who’s under the mask, I can still imagine the Knight’s voice sounding just like in did in the Arkham Knight game

A prequel comic titled Suicide Squad: Kill Arkham Asylum was originally going to be released on May 30, 2023, four days after the game was originally set to release, but was delayed to October 2024. Its story takes place between the events of Batman: Arkham Knight and Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, and is about how Amanda Waller took control of Arkham Asylum and recruited Task Force X for their mission to save the Justice League.

My idea, make them twins, one can be lady arkham who was trained by villains like scarecrow and riddler, and arkham knight, be trained by physical villains like croc, deadshot, and deathstroke so we get two new villains with connections to past villains
