Everything about this is "Dope " What's really cool is that you are up front about using simple tools that most people can source and some imagination to complete the task! I had a 1978 XS650 Special, good motorcycle. Sold it after getting a 1980 Sportster. Nice to see you guys building one.

I have searched for an XS650, along with other older Metrics. They're not easy to find here local. Especially after junk prices went stupid a few years ago. Used to see old Bikes nobody wanted everywhere behind sheds and garages.
Where are you guys located? Excited to see this build take shape.

@@hardtailgarage6938 ok thanks for the quick reply I subbed yesterday. I'm doing the same thing but motor is Kawasaki 750 twin. I'm sitting beside it right now about to put a 190 main in after trying 170 and bogging out.
For sure are you running air pods and aftermarket exhaust?
@@hardtailgarage6938 I've got a homemade 2 into 1 pipe with a cocktail shaker and I'm going to stick a v stack on there like yours but shorter. I like the way yours is coming along and excited to see it rolling down the street!
