Who else just stands at the top of the tower looking over the beautiful landscape enjoying this melodic song?
Me, UwU
I didn’t even want to start the adventure. The view and music had me in a trance.
@@thompson12001 lol
Me, hearing this for the first time late at night when the switch first came out was a different vibe yo
Yo lo hago
For the longest time I didn’t even realize that there was tower music, I just thought it was coincidence that this song played 😂
Same, noticed that several towers later hahaah
i thought it was climbing music but i guess i was close enough
Are you guys serious? 😐
@@yasinn9492 Yes, in a game as huge as BotW, you can be near a sheikah tower without realising and by coincidence it may be on a mountain or at night and you might think the songs only play at that time
@@chobochobus In a game as huge as BotW, you should quickly realize there is no music that isn't tied to your environment in some way
That little flute jingle at the beginning of this makes you smile, don't deny it.
remember when you meet than old guy in the start of the game in Zelda
Who would deny it?
Nobody.
@@fortnitefan2944 yeah that old guy
Idk where he is now
Wouldnt it be a giant plot twist if he was king Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule?
That would be soooooo huge
No not me
@@lamxdblessed3383ikr that would be INSANE dude
Listening to this feels like I remember a forgotten memory of the past
This is my exact feeling. The nostalgia in this song is insane. I feel lonely but somehow happy. Almost like the feeling of getting over something tragic.
@@RedSauce1 While it could be nostalgia, we have to remember these towers are ancient and Link forgot all of his past
@@RedSauce1 This song makes you feel... Alone. Empty. But it's in a good way. You close your eyes, and you're floating in a void, by yourself. Nobody to interfere with anything you do, to disturb you, to do anything. True peace, away from all else.
How fitting! Considering the story of the game, at least.
i guess Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a method to log back into an instagram account??
I somehow lost the account password. I love any tips you can offer me
A beautiful song that is sad, lonely and heartbreaking. It captures Link’s situation perfect to start the game, he is truly lost. If only most movies could create an atmosphere like this.
This was deep and accurate 😫
No you're Just a sad individual so you interpret and perceive this music the way you do. For the rest of us it's not that at all
@@EYO117 yes, it is how we interpret it...
@@EYO117 ironic that your name is link yet you couldn't be more incorrect about this
@@smugslider3690 you're depressed too. I. Sorry.
This is definitely the most nostalgic music in breath of the wild for me it’s just so memorable trying to climb the tower to search for shrines because I didn’t listen to the *old man* about fast travel .
Sokka
I know that name from a nickelodeon show
wasnt it Avatar the last airbender
I often hate how people say breath of the wild's soundtrack is garbage. I feel in many ways, the soundtrack is one of the games most underappreciated qualities. Imagine if breath of the wild had skyward sword's soundtrack, it just would not fit, the whole theme of the game, being emursed in this huge open vast wild world would be horribly interupted by the continuous bombastic music. The silence of breath of the wild means that when the music does hit, it feels far more significant.
one song from SS is in the games files
I was so sad when I got to the last tower because I wanted to keep hearing this song when I play lol.
it still plays on the top of towers. its fainter, but still there- im listening to it from central tower right now
it also gets louder the farther down you go, so its a lot louder near the bottom than at the top
@@disappointmentjuice8676 The Sheikah Tower activated song (unless your game hasn’t been updated) however will never be heard again after map completion. Damn it all.
I was just arriving at a Skyview Tower in Tears of the Kingdom and thought I’d play the theme of the classic sheikah towers as I unlocked it, just as my own little callback to botw, because sometimes TOTK just feels a little disconnected from it. I mean, Purah seems to act like there’s never been anything like the Skyview towers before!
Whenever I’m done playing for the day I always teleport to Akkala Tower and have link sit in the ruins because it’s my favorite place in the game. Like it’s obviously creepy but something about that particular location is also really comforting.
im in love with breath of the wild
@@fortnitefan2944 yo same
The first time arriving to a tower besides the Great Plateau Tower just felt so cool. The songs sound as if I just stumbled upon some sort if badass relic
i mean, you kind of did. 😂
Omg yes, is was so cool to see all the towers across hyrule rise up breaking through the ground
what was your first tower off the plateau and what was your last?
@@tbnrrenagade9507 i'm pretty sure my first was the dueling peaks tower and my last was hebra. what about you?
@@mominakhan4611 first, hateno (went a different route and didn't see dueling peaks tower) last akala citadel
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve escaped a blood moon welcoming this music each time haha. Love this. ❤️
what
I wish I could play this game over with out even knowing how to play it
the easiest way to do so is to rust your skills.. dont play for a year I guess 😂
I’m sorry, but that not possible. Like look at my name.
I only played a little l may get it again for the Wii U if pre owned is alright
i feel like this song's vibe is: "as far as the eye can see. but that's it. what lies under the mountains and forest? creatures and treasures."
the piano feels like what's on the surface of everything. being the main instrument.
but the other instrument suggests mystery. what lies beneath the surface?
what lies beneath, is adventure

i love this comment so much, you've completed my life
💙
The vibe I get is: climbing
one step closer, just a bit higher
memories of when i was a zelda noob
2 years later i still die to the dumbest stuff in totk
This really does feel like you're just ascending to the heavens, slowly seeing more of the world underneath of you until you reach the top of each tower. Beautiful game, beautiful OST.
This song perfectly represents what Breath of the Wild is. The lone grand piano playing a somber tune represents the emptiness of the world and how lonely you are. The reverb represents the vastness of the world. The subtle synth noises represent the ancient technology that now rules the decrepit land but whose presence is now significantly smaller than during the times of the great calamity. If you played this song over the intro instead of the title theme I assure you, nothing would feel out of place.
idk why, but I have a tendency, if I can get to a high place in a video game, just to stare out at the game’s world, and botw was my favorite game to do this in
This song takes me back to the first time playing BOTW. I just felt so lost and the great plateau tower felt like a safe place to be. It also took me many tries to get down the first time because I hadn’t really gotten used to the controls yet haha.
listening to this makes me feel... complete.
me too i finally dont feel empty
I love how unique this song is.
This sounds super ancient yet so digital, it also reminds me of Zelda a lot, kinda like a piano version of Ice Cavern.
Missing this song in Tears of The Kingdom
There's something so sad about this song, like you're looking upon ruins of Ganon's wrath where villages used to be and where guardians sleep which were once on your side. Now they belong to Ganon, the most genuine form of malice and hatred. But now it's your time to be the hope for what's left of Hyrule. These people need Link.
The amount of angst Nintendo hid underneath the game was insane and I wish there was more :>
I finished totk about a few weeks ago and today this track just came into my head, it’s strangely nostalgic
This game is one of the greatest examples in my opinion of impeccable game design.
this song is so calming after an encounter with a guardian or a damn wizzrobe like if you agree
Yeah youre right
Especially that darn Faron Tower
This song just exudes relief... I made it to the tower!!
I think i have cried listening to this more than any other piece of music in existence....
For me, this song sounds like an exhale. Every time I play this song, it's like as if I've just let out a breath I've been holding, and let some of my tension go with it.
Best game ever. Magical song. I will think of this till the end of my days
I won't forget the first time hearing this tune on top of the Great Plateau Tower.
Seeing the rolling greens of Hyrule Field, Dueling Peaks to the east, Eldin Volcano to the northeast, but at the center of it all, laying Hyrule Castle, shrouded in a dark smog.
Normally in Zelda games, you're fighting to save Hyrule _before_ evil forces lay waste to the land.
But in Breath of the Wild, Hyrule as you've known it is *already gone.*
Hyrule Castle has been overtaken by Ganon. Castle Town has been destroyed, its inhabitants annihilated by the corrupted Guardians meant to protect them.
As I stood atop the tower, I realized I'm not fighting to _save_ Hyrule Kingdom this time around. Instead, I'm fighting to *_AVENGE_* it.
Oh... I want to forget a past memory and play it all over again.
To me, this actually is the most iconic piece of BotW music. It so perfectly captures the wonder and mysticism of this ancient forgotten civilization. Something magical is about to awaken, the prophecy is beginning to come true. The piano feels like tentatively but optimistically climbing steps into something ancient, sacred, undisturbed, something that’s been waiting for a very long time. The flute and the vocals - that IS the sound of the Breath of the Wild. It also embodies the sheer SOLITUDE of the game. I have a crystal clear visual of the camera angled upwards and slowly panning around as you climb and there is absolutely nothing in the universe except you and the tower, under vast open empty sky. In TotK “you are not alone”, but in BotW you are very, very much alone. The sky is vast, the kingdom is vast, and you are so very, very small - but something compels you to trace these steps towards… something. Something long lost, all but forgotten. This song says “you have found something… the legends were true.”
It’s so peaceful imagine in your mind you have the best view of hyrule and nature everywhere you look at hebra and lanayru and faron and the twin peaks and everything with this music in your mind it’s so peaceful and it clears your mind from all thoughts it’s just you the view and the wind
My favourite Song of the Game, still makes me sad and lucky at the Same time. ♥️♥️♥️
This theme is amazing to study or do an online exam xD
I love how peaceful this is. you can just listen on repeat...and forget the world and it's problems.
The nostalgia this brings is amazing. I still remember unboxing the game card on Christmas 2017. I remember loading in and hearing this. One vivid memory was when on Christmas Eve my sisters friends friend having a switch and the controllers would just slide off. When i got mine, it took a while to figure out how to get it off
This game... I can't put into words how much I love it.
Climbing these towers and mapping out the region reminded me so much of the Eagle points in Assassin’s Creed
If only we had a hay bale to jump into it’d be perfect
this is so nostalgic I can't believe this game is almost 5 years old
Miss this one in the sequel
This brings nostalgia to me when I first started playing
Here’s a cool question to ask everyone- what’s the first tower you think of when this song plays? Mine is Hetano tower. I remember I started playing this game in the spring of 2017 when it was starting to get warm out, it was evening time like around 6 o clock, my windows were open getting a nice fresh breeze in the house and I’m working my way around the vines of the tower in the country area that is hetano and it was evening in the game too like late afternoon climbing the tower listening to this and an extremely peaceful feeling began to pervade and come over me. It was perfect.
The first tower that comes to my mind is usually the one on the Great Plateau.
@@scawydemon the original. I dig it!
Akkala Tower! The peaceful music amidst all the danger. The rain, the citadel, the view, and the sound of malice and whirring guardians below.
Gerudo Tower is an honorable mention because i stopped a while to listen to this and kass's music while watching naboris stalk the desert. It was my last, so imagine my surprise when I saw just how _tall_ it reached. Ethereal.
Either the plateau or dueling peaks tower.
The lanayru tower. I like climbing up the hill around it with Majora's mask equipped and interacting with the enemies until I think it's time to climb the tower itself, and then looking apon all the lakes and rivers the lanayru province has to offer
I never noticed the synthesizer bit at 8:48, either because I wasn't paying attention, or I didn't spend long enough to hear it. Either way, it completes the masterpiece
This song brings the most nostalgia
i remember when i was such a beginner just starting the game. i would stand atop the plateau tower with my ancient screw in hand and watch vah medoh (which i thought was some kind of helicarrier) and vah rudania (which i thought was just a big guardian) fly and climb around.
LEGENDARY
Perfect music for a snowy day or night
Are we ever gonna hear this theme in Tears of the Kingdom? I’ve climbed a few towers in TOTK and I’m disappointed that I haven’t heard this theme yet.
This gives me AC:2 vibes
i miss this
lots of nostalgia for this piece. One of the first things I heard after standing outside in the cold for an hour so I could get a Switch lol
This song makes me emotional it reminds me of the champions .....
does anyone else come back to this and clean their kitchen to this music or is it just me?
this music truly is the pure embodiment of nature it is nature unleashed with its best views too bad we humans always destroy it to make cities and such truly a waste...
it makes me think gods abilities truly are great he created this all nature mountains valleys volcanos seas its all so great thank you god for this truly.
Actually the map designer are real humans and are paid around $70k annualy but ok
I feel like this peice can be interpreted in many ways. I have looked through the comments and see that several people have gotten many different feelings from this peice of music, ranging from peaceful and complete to lonley and sad. I do not think there is a right way to interpret it as i understand where all these people are coming from. I think this is a great introduction to the zelda ost. It can leave you at peace or in pieces depending on how you hear it.
The Legend of Zelda...Guidance to survival....
think about it...
I love this music
For me its like something from different world, like if turrets had some story to tell you and also It is calming And just when I hear that, I remember I buyed in 2020 on christmas switch with game and when I hear that I just feel christmas vibes 😂😂
My favouritist suond of breath wild zelda
who can possibly hate this music?
Listened to this for so long trying to figure out the wasteland tower... omg smh
The first time I played botw, I would get really exited when I saw a tower. And I would stop whatever I was doing to climb it lol.
Why isn't this more popular?
HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS ONLY PLAYED ON TOWERS?!?!?
I guess we get so immersed in the game...we miss the most of small details...
In the game you never hear the synth, only the piano and the "vocals"
An even 31,000 views, how did I get this timing so perfect?
love this game so much :')
