If i could delete all of what I remember of BoTW i’d do it in an instant. To relive this game would be a blessing. Just make sure to convince me to play it again.

@@questionmarkquestionmarkques I haven’t played it. But I’ve definitely heard and kept it in mind for a while. I’ve just majorly been pushed back on it due to the long time spent in the game from what I’ve heard but I think now I would love to buy it
I started 2 years ago and I would do anything to relive this amazing botw moments like seriously it makes me extremely nostalgic
You all are talking about nostalgia over a game that’s only 5 years old. Lol. I get it. But to me Ocarina of Time is actual nostalgia. I remember being a Senior in high school when it released and man the memories surrounding that game are extremely nostalgic and special for me. Have fun y’all.

When I finished this game and did everything I felt like doing, I went back to this village. I didn't fast travel, I just went on horse the whole way, parked him by my house, took a screen cap, went inside and saved and exited. I don't normally do stuff like that, but something about this game was very different to most open worlds. Along the way there were so many little design choices I barely consciously noticed that made me actually look at the world and not just GPS to icons on the minimap. As a result it sort of hit me harder as a real memorable place than most open worlds, even though they may look better or be bigger or cooler or whatever. It doesn't really matter. None of them stuck with me like this game. So I will always remember this music.
No one asked

This is proof music alone can be a powerful storytelling tool!
Music as always playing a huge part in making The Legend of Zelda series even more great. I wonder how the games would influence our moods without the music... it wouldn't be as impactful in my opinion.
This theme, for example, plays a huge part in relaxing the player, and it also has a great feeling of calm and even nostalgia to it. Lov it!
yes!! and the enemy music always makes me jittery
exactly, brings you to a sense of normalcy early on in the game since you're traveling A LOT at night where the mood changes a lot with enemies coming out. Hateno Village is such a calming place to be, so is Kakariko.
All the little details in this song. The way that bass goes up arpeggios, tge way the chird progression all adds up, that lead melody woth that alto instrument, the drums add a minor detail but are affective. Man, for some reason i feel like this track doesnt get the respect it deserves. Of cource it makes a good village soundtrack, but really, its much much more. The soothing, satisfying, reassuring feel of the way everything adds up, a truly magnificent track.
This music makes me feel like I'm returning back to a place that I haven't been in along time, but that brings you comfort and warmth. 🤷♂️ just what I feel.
When someone asks me what my favorite song is, I straight up tell them the Hateno Village theme. They can fight me.
It's not just the best theme, its the best town. Tarrey town is great because you build it yourself, but I wouldn't choose to live anywhere else in Hyrule.
I just got botw for Christmas so i'm a bit late in playing it and haven't gotten very far, but this is absolutely my favourite track :3
I was also late this year, getting it on my birthday. Instantly fell in love with the game
I got the game for Christmas 2019 and it took me 89 days and 90 nights to complete it. It was sure a wonderful adventure and I can't wait for the sequel!
Don't forget to explore this vast world! While I definitely think exploring shouldn't be forced, but this game is _huge_ and it'd be a real disappointment to let all the hard work that this game has to offer go to waste. So _please_ search the world for Koroks.
I've been playing since the switch came out so i've heard almost every song and if your as far in as i think you are, you aint seen nothing yet
Critshits Critshits oh i definitely am not that far in lol ! 3/4 divine beasts tho but i'm planning on a completionist run my first time :33 (or at least as close as i can get)! my attention span wavers tho so i haven't played in a while
I got Breath of the Wild a few weeks ago (I’m super late, I know) and I literally adore the game! This village is my favorite, it feels so homey and comforting. It’s my favorite place to just hang out and relax
I got botw ages ago and only recently had my switch fixed, so I suppose Im late too
You can buy a house, and live in this town, go to the shrine, and look to the left, and you should see a bridge. Go across it, and talk to the people demolishing said house.
No matter if you got back then or now. You're never too late to enjoy an awesome game like botw❤

BOTW remains one of the more lovely video games on many levels, and the soundtrack is an immense part of that beauty - one of the few soundtracks I listen to as stand-alone music, and this tune in particular is a favorite; it is warm, familiar, sincere and uplifting, with a splash of exoticism that is at once familiar and also faraway - a total gem and masterpiece that sets the backdrop for what represents home in the game.

No roll mechanic, 0/10
It's weird. I didn't end up liking BOTW as much as other games in the series, yet I'm feeling so nostalgic listening to this
Haha, this ended up being my absolute favorite game in the series, and although many die hard fans argue that OOT is forever the best, I still believe BOTW is the best in it's own respect. Not to mention the people that didn't entirely like the fact that there wasn't enough "music" in the game are just either not paying attention to the game or are too protective of the previous games to really be open minded about BOTW. There was definitely something magical about OOT and the older soundtracks that make it seem like timeless masterpieces (which they most certainly are) but BOTW provides a soundtrack that gives me a different nostalgia, probably knowing that the newest game has just as much passion as the older ones, and that all of the new songs are filled with heart and careful, tender loving care. The Hateno Village theme, the moment I listened to it, made me sad but also happy knowing that one day, years to decades later, I would listen to this song during any moment in life and look back at a happy and fulfilled childhood. Your comment reassures this thought.
I forgot to mention, music to me makes about 40% of the games appeal, and I absolutely loved BOTW's soundtrack. Also, I also believe one day BOTW's soundtrack will be remembered as just as great in comparison to OOT's and others.
-Sidon- preach it my man
@@-sidon-2893 I completely agree. BOTW was as close to a Masterpiece of a game when I first played it. Playing through it your first time is just a magical experience that honestly no other game thus far has been able to recreate for me personally. I had not played a Zelda game since a Link to the Past before this one tbh, but this game got me back into the lore of Zelda and the sheer storytelling Nintendo was capable of delivering.
@@acridpunkpistol It's an extraordinary journey you can experience through just a video game. I absolutely love Nintendo, especially for making the Zelda series.

Despite owning Breath of the Wild for years after its release, I never opened or played it until the pandemic took over the world. This was a great game to play when having to be in isolation for a while and even after restrictions were lifted a bit. I didn't want to go out and do anything but stay in and play this game. Hateno Village's music has a special place in my heart because it gave me a sense of relaxation and happiness during a time when it seems the world was dying.
Really wish I had more time to play this, high school is so pressuring man
I wish I could forget everything about this game and relive all of the moments, like going into kakariko for the first time, opening my first shrine, gliding for the first time......wandering around the map like the clueless idiot I was XD I’d give anything to relive that again.

this is considered to be my childhood and I'm proud of that :)
I'm a gamer ever since I was a kid. From The Sims 1, The Sims 3, Playstation 1 games, and now to Nintendo Switch games. Now that I'm a mom of two baby boys (Leo & Link) I found myself feeling isolated, and killing my time by just staring at the ceiling as I breastfeed both of them. Well, I found a way to squeeze a little time to play BOTW. I finally started playin' this game again after one and a half year of not playin' it. Doing each side quests from talking to a lot of villagers, beating bizarre looking monsters, unexpectedly seeing majestic dragons in the sky, and discovering various recipes brought back my vigor and excitement in life. I'm an adventurer and alwys will be. ❤
My favorite part is the bit that starts at 2:14. I think it's a violin? IDK, it just sounds so warm and cozy just like Hateno Village.
Edit: Seeing people's comments from two or three years ago saying they're so late to the game is funny because I only started last month.
My favorite song in the whole game. It's almost like paradise. Seriously such a peaceful song 🎵 😌 💕

The sound makes it feel so nostalgic even though it just came out in 2017
I only played it last month and it still makes me nostalgic
We live in a world where during COVID days, its just so hard to find any good/significant games since the pandemic. 2017 was different times…

Such a Beautiful Tune!
Sure, the game started on the Great Plateau, but Hateno felt like the true central hub of the game.

i love this village so much. after spending a long day in danger, i like to come to this village at night to feel safe and cozy.
This theme scares the shit out of me because i permanently associate it one of the most miserable, depressed, and horrific parts of my life. In a pavlovian manner.

Love this music. The uilleann pipes and the violin are amazing. This track gets stuck in my head on the regular.
I once read a Balzac novel (Cousin Pons) with just this on loop in the background cover to cover. Had a great time.
Thinking back, I spent a lot of time in Hateno Village for some reason.. I wonder if it was the music, the house building quest or customizing the clothing colors.
That being said, I'd say the air in Hateno Village tastes really good.
This place took elements from OOT's Kakariko with the windmills and general aesthetic while the in-game Kakariko kept the whole Sheikah theme. Genius.
Also I LOVE THIS THEME.
Also, also, the "tour guide" is now one of my favorite Zelda characters. I imagine him speaking with a heavy German accent. He's awesome 😁

I can hear super Mario sunshine cues in this music ... love Nintendo ♥️
*Kakariko:* "My time as the top cozy village in the franchise has come to an end... it's time to pass the torch to a new generation..."
*Hateno:* "I won't let you down, pop...!"
Seriously though... as someone who has experienced Hateno in both BOTW *and* TOTK, I'm definitely getting the vibe that it's becoming the Kakariko that the properly-named Kakariko once was in past games. The music presents a very similar vibe to what the retro/classic Kakariko theme evoked as well.
Moreover, if you think about it, the Sheikah that inhabit Kakariko in both games are mostly older in age, whilst the inhabitants of Hateno are mostly younger, so that only brings the idea to light all the more.
Thoughts?
This music feels like it was made for 90s or early 2000's JRPG titles, and in a good way.
Gosh this hits me in the feels. This was the best first playthrough through any game I ever played. ❤
