Thanks, Morgan! Your videos have been really helpful and how you deliver them.
Iâm wondering, would Behance be a good way to show my portfolio as a new or transitioning UX Designer?
If I could start over, thatâs what I would do!
@@MorganUX Thank you!
Can I connect with you on LinkedIn?
Is it possible for newbie at UI UX to get a job these days? All i see is recruiting seniors and mid-levels so i am kinda lost now. How do I improve to be better? Thanks for amazing video
Of course! Tech is in a weird place right now so there will be ebbs and flows of UX jobs. The main way to improve is to build out your portfolio and show improvement in every project. It helps to work with small local businesses who may need a new website, or a friend who has an app idea.
I've heard that bootcamps are looked down upon nowadays, would you recommend I do the entire coursera course from university of Michigan and the Google ux course and create my own portfolio/projects to get an entry level job into UX.?
Iâve never heard anyone with a job in UX look down on bootcamps, and I donât think the Coursera certifications would be any more respected if that were the case! So I would go with whatever you think matches your learning style better, thatâs what matters the most! It also doesnât hurt that Coursera is very affordable.
However, I donât think thereâs a benefit to doing more than one course, so Iâd choose between University of Michigan and the Google course, unless you feel like youâre not learning enough from one of them.
Hiring managers care more about case studies and portfolios than where your UX Ă©ducation came from.
@@MorganUX thanks so much, that helps a lot. đ
No problem! Best of luck!
Hey Morgan, thanks for your videosâŠ
I was wondering what is your pay as a UX designer. Or you can give an estimate.
And do you think Ux/ui will last long in tech industry. Can it be replaced by AI?
Hello! UX designer pay really depends on the company/area/role - but entry level roles generally start around $70k that I saw. I will make a video in the future all about my pay!
Regarding AI, I'm not an expert but from what I've learned I am not concerned about AI taking over jobs.
I want to start a personal project, but donât know where to recruit participants for my research
I have a video on how I created solo case studies that might be helpful! czcams.com/video/jluDm7oOUS0/video.html
I used survey monkey for survey participants, and reach out to people on instagram and other social medias to get usability testers and interviewees.
okay thank you! Do you think surveys alone is good enough of a research method or should it be combined with Interviews as well? :)
