    Genuine 442 with #s match 455 motor. W-30 package was added. It is loaded with options. Professionally restored in 2017.
    EXTERIOR: What a looker with the stripes, big scoops, spoiler and chrome wheels. Fit and finish is amazing. Show quality body and paint restoration. It is absolutely straight front to back. Every square inch of it is smooth and glossy. The original Galleon Gold metallic color is laid out evenly. The clear coat is polished like glass. The W-30 stripes were correctly applied and are smooth to the touch. It has a correct ram air hood, not the cheap reproduction. No cracks in the hood. Correct rear spoiler on the trunk. It has sport mirrors that are unique to 1970. Upfront it all looks new- the grill, trim, emblems, bumper, headlight bezels and the chrome hood locks. The emblems are new including W-30 emblems. Door handles were replaced. The stainless trim is straight and shiny. In back the bumper and lenses were replaced. New SS-1 chrome wheels and BFGoodrich tires are new, the rear tires are fatter in back. Door jambs are painted real glossy and smooth. Weather strips and sill plates are new. The vinyl top is new. The windshield and rear window were replaced.
    INTERIOR: The interior is very nice and unabused. It's full of accessories. In front of me is a real nice dash area. Nothing is cut or broken. It has the Rallye gauge cluster and the Tic Toc Tachometer. The guages were all sent out and restored, clock was upgraded with quartz movement. The bezels, knob, heater control panel, original AM radio are all in real nice shape. It has an optional 8-track player. There is an MB Quartz stereo hidden in the glovebox. It has an optional hood lock inside the car. The tilt column has a sport wheel. Down on the floor is real nice carpet, reproduction Oldsmobile mats and a full set of original GM seat belts. The center console is in good shape and the best part is the 4-speed sticking out of it. The seats have been reupholstered. Door panels are not new but look nice, armrests are new. The headliner and visors look very good. The mirror was replaced, dome light works. It also has power windows and locks.
    ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The VIN number matching 455 motor was rebuilt by Don's machine shop and now produces over 450 horsepower. It was bored, decked and balanced. It has roller cam and rocker tips, double roller timing chain, Keith Black pistons, ARP bolts, performance valve job and more. We have receipts with specs. The motor looks stock. It has a W-30 aluminum intake, Holley carb with electric choke and a complete ram air induction system. New aluminum, high volume water pump and radiator. It is completewith shroud, rubber flaps, clutch fan, new hoses. Concourse correct wiper motor and washer pump. New red inner fenders indicate there is W-30 power under the hood of this car. It has manual brakes which is correct for a W-30 with a 4-speed. Everything is clean, proper, painted nicely.
    TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has a power trunk release that works. The metal is clean and is very neatly spatter painted. Brand new chrome SS-1 wheel with a new BF Goodrich tire for a spare. It has complete jack assembly including the lug wrench. The bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted real smooth and glossy. The weatherstrip is replaced, new decals. It has a working trunk light. There's also a crate filled with manuals, shop books and magazines.
    UNDERSIDE: Under this car is exceptionally clean. It has the rallye suspension which includes sway bars and boxed rear control arms. The front end has been completely rebuilt. I can see the ball joints, bushings, Koni springs and shocks were replaced. In back it has new bushings, springs and Koni gas shocks. Factory style exhaust system with the trumpet tips going out through the back bumper. The fuel system has been replaced including the tank, straps, sending unit and fuel line. The brakes are disc in front, the hoses and fuel lines are replaced, e-brake assembly is hooked up. The bottom of the motor is clean, the starter is rebuilt. New Richmond Super T-10 4-speed. Flywheel and Centerforce clutch were replaced, new shift linkage. Rebuilt and balanced driveshaft. Has a 12-bolt rear end with the W-27 finned aluminum cover. The bottom of the car is really dry, clean metal. The floors, rockers and braces are all real nice.
    This is one hot muscle car! A 4-speed, W-30 loaded with options. Restored very nicely!

    Just to say now I live in Volos Greece !!!! Way too cool !!!! I once broke down driving my brothers really old MG driving to Wilmot Wi. to go skiing. Volo was such a little town at the time !!! On one side of the sign saying you were arriving in Volo and on the other side of the sign said you are now leaving Volo. Just an old joke from the area !!! It was a rough evening !!! Volo is very close to the border between Illinois & Wisconsin- beautiful country !!!

    You can’t get a car in any shade of brown anymore, this one looks brownish gold, what a shame cars now are all grey and white, no two tone or pin stripes, these old cars have so much more character!

    Hello Jay. This is a very attractive 442 and the combination of the vynal, wheels and colour just takes this to another level . Superbly presented and in spite of one sour comment , in my opinion very well priced ! Thanks Jay .

    It had AC at one time given that the alternator is on the drivers side (and the controls). You could get power brakes on the w30 automatics.

    All this for a paltry $63,000. He has great cars but way over priced. Most are on consignment

    • @totalyep
      @totalyep Před 2 lety

      I think it’s a $50k car all day long. Several things are not correct for a w30 but it’s a super nice car. A real w30 4 speed is 90k.

    • @VoloMuseumAutoSales
      @VoloMuseumAutoSales  Před 2 lety +1

      Jeff, I won't argue price, everyone is welcome to think what they want there. However, you comment about "most are on consignment" is just factually false, and you've said this before in other comments. As of writing this comment, with 193 vehicles, we own 74%, 26% on consignment. Why do you continue to do this?

    • @totalyep
      @totalyep Před 2 lety +2

      Volo Museum Auto Sales price is not that far off. That’s what good ones go for.

      If we sold to cheap or to high we would be out of business.
      The Olds has deposit and a backup list of buyers. Find me some more!🙃
