Unlearning the negative perceptions of AllahSWT is difficult especially if you have been raised being told that 'Allah is going to punish you' for every mistake that you made. SubhanAllah I'm in tears just thinking of this. I'm sure if we were taught to love Allah and strive to not disappoint him bc of the love he has for us, many of us wouldn't have lost our faith during our tests.

Jazak Allah Khayr Sisters❤️❤️ May Allah bless the work you are doing and keep you.... Ameen.
Just wanted to add... as sister Layinka mentioned “with every difficult comes ease” that our trials in life are never all bad completely. In your trial, if you look at your situation and try to focus and count your other blessings from Allah aside the trial , you will realize that you are still blessed and if you look to those below you (ie people who have worst situations) then it makes you grateful to Allah for testing you in that way and it strengthens your trust in Him knowing He will provide a solution to the test (even though this may take a longtime). So even as you go through the difficult times, remember to look for the ease that comes with it and it may be as simple as having a shoulder to lean on at that moment. May Allah give us the tawwaqul we need to go through the trials of life. Ameen.

Very beautiful talk! I love how one of the sister’s dig deeper about how people might judge others going through things they can’t understand. It’s true. I’ve been in both sides of that coin.
With each test Insha’Allah we become more wise and get closer to Allah. Insha’Allah we slow down and tap into our inner selves and hear what Allah is teaching us and showing us. It is a bear of a task but never stop asking for help and clarity. Even if you feel like the worst of servants or what you’re going through is because of something you did. Don’t dwell on that. Focus on the fact that Allah has you there making du’a so He still loves you and wants to hear from you. That this hardship, He ALONE knows how deeply painful and difficult it is and He designed it just for you because that pain and difficulty is the exact pressure needed to take you to the next place. Next step. Deeper relationship with Him.

Do difficulties or tests always have to have a "solution"? What about life-long disabilities, having a child with a life-long disability, lethal or chronic illness? Of course, Allah gives strength and with hardship comes ease. But people have to understand that people with disabilities will not just "grow out of it" and people with deadly diseases will not just be miraculously healed in most cases (not negating miracles to happen). And the verse "with hardship comes ease" can be easily used in a judgemental way.

@@LaYinkaSanni I am a mother of four. One has severe CP, another one has autism, and yet another one is right now at the hospital fighting for her life... what I wanted to make people aware of is that there may not be any solution in this life. We need the akhira to find justice, peace, freedom of pain and death, and solutions to some problems.
May Allah grant your child and you ease and may Allah grant life to my daughter and ease for all my children. Ameen

Tgis is very true and beautiful. And the holding space and leaving one to deal with it in the beginning is so accurate. The Prophet (ﷺ) passed by a woman who was crying over a grave and said, “Fear Allah and be patient.” She said, “Away from me! My calamity has not befallen you and you are not aware of it.” The woman was later told that it was the Prophet (ﷺ) (who had advised her). She came to his door where she found no doorkeeper. She said, “(I am sorry) I did not know you.” Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Patience is (becoming) only at the first (stroke) of grief”.
    [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Yes he sis advice when he saw her crying at the grave. But then let her be. He gave her the opportunity to see for herself.

10:28 maybe they haven't really had the proper knowledge of how to deal with it and sometimes someone just needs to tell them how after things fall apart everything gets better eventually.

Something I like reminding myself and my friends is the 2 P's or the 2 ص mentioned in Surah Al Baqarah verse 153
"O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient."
Patience and Prayer صبر و صلاة :D
