Owned a GE200 for 6 months and used it for hundreds of hours and can say having owned a PodHD500X and a Line 6 Helix this competes and maybe beats the Helix and is definitely better than the PodHD in terms of realism and being able to load in custom IR's is a fucking game changer on newer amp modeller/fx units.
Im a mix or live you'd never know it wasn't a real amp and pedals.
We've come along way.

Fantastic showcase of this unit bro. Im using a mooer preamp live, ocean machine, green mile & yellow comp at the minute. I stripped my board back to that cos the mooer stuff is so exceptional even my beloved pork loin is redundant but i have to say this unit is tempting me to part or at least bench them and get a GE 300. Great stuff

I work preset but by way of the ear, what it is telling me, the key to the sound that has resulted for me is to know the global eq and where you will connect, it is an excellent machine highly recommended

+Karl Golden Does the delay/reverb tail continue to spill-over when switching preset to preset? And I can see that there is already a chain their synth to volume. My other question is, can I use 3 overdrive and assign to 3 stomp with using FXA and FXB? Or 1 effect only in a chain?
Nice video! Just wanted to ask, since the processor only wants you to choose between EXP1 or EXP2 does this mean that i can only run 1 exp at a time, or can i use both, lets say the one incorporated for the volume and the second for whammys or wah? Thnx

Around minute 23:00 when you engage the delay off the signal drops dry is there anyway you can switch it off and still get some minor trails for a more organic transition?

I love the user interface on this thing. Wish other mfx units had the efx chain on/off buttons as it makes it very fast and easy to get to your effect and edit it. It's a pain on my Gt100 to do the same thing. Gt10 had it not sure why they removed it from Gt100. Shame Gt1000 doesn't have it either. If I was shopping for mfx units, this Ge300 would definitely be on my buy list.
Just a question; can this pedal do most if not all of what the ocean machine pedal can do..?

Yes. You can choose whether to have the bottom row as presets or additional effects, like a pedal board.

There doesnt seem to be any delay trails after you switch the delay off. I think they should have had the display that shows what effects/patches are assigned to each switch show the actual effect when you use FXa or FXb and also show an indication of the patch name so that you can tell what patch is for each switch, i know the whole name wont fit in many cases, but you only need an indication and it would make a world of difference in function. Thanks for the demo !
There's a setting to turn delay trails on or off.
Think it's off by default on my GE200
@@ollietodd4845 Ah, good to know thanks ! Its a feature that has been common for many years in multieffects, so it would be bad if wasnt present.
How come the led light on the footswitch doesn't turn on or off when you press it? The effect engagement indicates on the LCD screen with a tiny little picture but it might not be visible when actually used on the stage. Is it something that they would fix in the future you think?
That's what I was wondering also.
Since they've updated the firmware, the light on a footswitch gets brighter when it's engaged. There have been other useful upgrades, like the trails on delay continue when you switch off the effect or change patches. Now has a Harmonist effect, which it didn't have before.
What about boosting level for solo volume?
Excellent review! I saw a Mooer Live Preamp in the background. How does the Mooer GE300 compare to the Live Preamp (do they have the same sounds)?
What about the output settings? Say I want to run the unit from xlr's to direct and simultaneously use the jack output for on-stage amp. Is there an option to separately set up those outputs, like turn off cab simulator for output 2, use separate eq for each output?
Yes, there is. You can run into front of house with cab sim and to your amp (for monitoring) with no cab sim

I don’t see why not!
So if youre using it as a pedal running in the front of a guitar amp.. HOW do the cab and amp presets sound/work?
You just remove them/turn them off from your preset. Typically on a MFX like this, you create a series of patches for running straight into a mixer/audio interface, and then have another version of the patch with the Amp/Cab turned off for use with the 4 Cable method (explained in more detail here: ge300sharing.wordpress.com/2019/10/12/the-4-cable-method-4cm/)

I have only played the Helix a couple of times at guitar shows so couldn’t give you a fair assessment but this is an incredible piece of kit and is quite a bit cheaper
@@Karlgolden The difference isnt very big if you compare to the Helix LT which is pretty much the same as the normal version but with less connectivity and no switch label displays.
Helix is way better if you care about sound quality, especially on live gig situation. This GE300 only wins in term of form factor.

Sold my helix rack and have this now. Sorry to swim against the tide, but I MUCH prefer the functionality of this unit and neither one has the "better" sound; they both sound great. Think of this, the looper on the Mooer is 30 min, on the Helix? 30 SECONDS!

@Mark Seymour Im just bothered by the fact that mooer balantly copies hardware and software from other companies. Some of their pedals had actual EXH software copyright disclamer in their code, since they simply copied the entire thing. So god knows how shadyily this thing is designed.

This sounds like a very good deal- but.. I also read if you buy one of these in the USA - you’re screwed if it dies cause there is no customer support at all- a lot of ppl bought these and said they died out fairly quickly and could not send it anywhere

This is not a troll. I'm investigating who to upgrade to from a Line6 Amplifi FX100 (6 yrs old). Do the Mooer and Nu-X sound as good as the Line6, Fractal, Kemper solutions? Just concerned about sound, as well as build, quality from more established brands. I have to ask because there is no large music store within 300 miles. Thanks!
It's all subjective, really. Some people prefer the Mooer sounds to the Helix and vice versa. They all sound really good, so your decision should be based more on functionality e.g. the Helix can run two signal chains side by side but the GE300 has a synth engine. Depends what your needs are. Price is obviously a big factor, too. The Mooer has come down in price from its launch, making it a more attractive proposition.

Its such a bumer that they left the drummachine out while the 250 has one...that would have made this complete and perfect for the home musician fidler...

Why punish us with midroll adds,
no one I know ever lets them run, neither do I,
they just alienate your viewers and yield you
little to no return.
Put in two adds up front, and two at the end,
I let them run, I very often encourage
others to do the same.
Most of us multi task, a midroll add can run
for an hour plus, usually louder than
the video itself, if your not right in front
of your PC, you can't even shut them down.
Midroll adds drive viewers to add free subscriptions
and add free browsers, which diverts the
revenue stream away from you
and other content providers (channel owners).
I agree I didn’t put them there! CZcams automatically did it a while ago for all videos when they introduced more ads for videos less than 8-10 mins. Very frustrating! I will change it tomorrow when near a computer

Excellent Video comments. After two hours... after I'm buy this GE300 Garbage, I'm pack it back and will sell it again. SOUNDS are shit and mostly useless. Preamps are all same and extrem low quality. Distortion and Effects are cheap and low Sound Quality. Can't Compare with Boss, Helix or cheaper and better boards. A good looking House full of China Garbage. The question is, how this Mooer Products can Succes in such fast way? If the GE300 is the Flagship of them, how bad are the rest of they Products?! How much this China Company paid for promoting this Garbage all over??? China is still a Country that are not able to create own Technology and what these present are a copy of, Japan, Europe, Russia, India. I'm like Chinese but they I'll Business Mentality with cheap Copies are not provide these repudiation in the World of Technology.
