  • Hey guys! I have the pleasure of using a Mooer GE 300 for a bit and I thought I'd put together a quick start guide for you. Things we'll cover: getting it plugged in properly, navigating the button/knob layout, and editing presets. Nothing too advanced in this video. I just want to show you the basics to get you going.

    A little about myself:
    My name's Jon Eleyet and I like making videos about guitars! Sometimes the videos are about a goofy guitar that I made out of Fruity Pebbles, other times it's a tutorial about guitar tone. In either case, my goal is to make your life better by giving you a laugh or unlocking a new skill.

    Hi Jon, your videos are always very helpful especially with my PODHD500x so thank you so much. My only issue with PODHD500x is I cant use the PODHD software as a plugin/VST like I used to with PODFARM. With that in mind I am close to buying this MOOER GE 300 however the question is, can you use the MOOER software as a plugin/VST in the daw?

    Can you run two of the same pills next to each other say I want one delay and I want the same delay next to it with a different speed the same with two overdrives or two distortions same in the signal chain but differing settings and you can switch back and forth? Is that possible

    So you have to save an
    edited Preset into the factory
    bank area, overwriting whatever
    FACTORY slot you want
    to save it in?
    This is the most ridiculous place
    to save a User Patch , NO USER BANKS?
    Total Waste of time.

    Is there any disadvantage to running the amp modeler into an interface vs plugging direct into computer?

    • @turunturun
      @turunturun Před 11 měsíci +1

      I know your question is 4 months old, but I’ll put my opinion in here for you. I’ve not A/B’d to confirm this but my guess is the difference won’t matter unless you have a very bad interface. Since this is a digital unit, my guess is that once the GE300 converts your analog input signal to digital, it never converts it back to analog if you use the USB plug to get the signal into your DAW. If you use an interface however, you’ll be connecting it with analog cables at which point you’ll be having the GE300 convert the digital signal back into analog, then having that analog signal travel along analog cables which are more susceptible to external noise then having your interface convert the analog signal BACK into digital. Obviously this is theoretically significantly worse than having the GE just send a digital signal straight into your daw via USB. The only exception to my comment would be if you chose to use the digital out on the GE300, which should fundamentally be identical to using USB at least in audio quality. Hope that’s helpful.
