Woox makes some interesting accessories for rifles and shotguns. The new Remington 870's are out there and Woox has so great looking new wood furniture for them. - Zábava
i just hope "rem arms" gets it together and puts out more and higher quality 700's again.
and 870's as well!
I bought a new 870 back in October of 23'. Remington is back on track. The finish is good. IT DOESN'T RUST from being in the open. Wood furniture looks great, and runs like an Olympic Kenyan.
Good to hear, been wanting to get a Tac-14 but waiting till QC goes back up
I handled a Rem Arms 870 at my LGC and it feels just like my pre freedom group 870. Had good fit and finish. Makes me happy to hear they're doing pretty good.
I'll keep my 98' 870 Police magnum. That's when Remington was Remington.
I wish Woox offered a more traditional wood stock.
Thanks, Tim and Jason. I appreciate all your work.
Looks similar to the MagPul, that is on my 870
seeing these quality accessories hit the market is always exciting. It's not just about the looks; it's about the feel and performance too.
Shotgun videos are good videos.
There are so many good pistol and rifle videos, but very few shotgun videos.
More of these please. It helps first-time shotgun buyers when choosing which one to buy.
Definitely want qd on both sides of the stock and on the front. Some type of texturing or ribbing on the fore grip is a must!
Hey Tim, how about reviewing the 870 Wingmaster to see if the "newer" version holds up the older version??? I know Remington has definitely fallen from grace over the years, but the 870 Wingmaster in its prime was beyond reproach. I wonder if the new ones are close the outstanding fit and finish of the old ones??? .....the beauty of deep blue metal finish with the gloss of the finely finished walnut stock was a true American classic.
That furniture looks great.
Great video, Tim.
Great Show
Nice finish
Looks good.
Beauty, like all 870's
Looks nice!
Love the 870. The wood furniture is nice. I hope the fore end has texture like the picture showed . Butt stock reminded me of the Magpul ergonomics.but much more attractive. Shotguns are very relevant .
Very nice furniture. My 870 has the polymer Magpul stuff on it; I'm fine with that setup as I don't show the gun off, I just use it.
I got the woox kit for my 590 sbs. Mine has texture on pump handle. I didn't know they offered a non textured version. So far, I really like it.
It looks cool but it's up to you if wood Magpul is worth double the cost.
As for a sling that mounts to the barrel and mag tube, Magpul has a barrel clamp that has a QD point.
The GG&G front QD that mounts under the magazine cap is the way to go. Have on my 870 and M1
Interesting. The stock QD is poorly located. Please add another one on the other side.
Looks like another setup ive seen on the interwebs. A "riskier" shotty
Nice furniture.
The newer 870 marine mags look very nice.
Good video .. I LOVE my 870
Awesome!
Good polymer is superior to wood in almost every application. Except for appearance. Wood is beautiful.
Guessing the newest version of their forend has texturing/checkering. That's the way it appears on their website. Also, GG&G makes a great little QD swivel attachment (non-rotational as well) that sandwiches between the mag tube and tube extension. Works perfectly.
My Mariner has WOOX furniture i love it . That must be some pre-production Because my fore end has checkering and i took a look on the web site and dont see a non-Checkered version offered .
I like that forearm but would like a traditional wood butt stock.
I have wanted a woox furniture set for my 870 notashotgun for a long time...
Mesa tactical makes a benelli-style pistolgrip/stock. Very nice
Company conversation..
"We have a new product and need to see what's missing".
"Send it to Tim at MAC, he'll lets know".😄
When will you have the full review up on the New production 870?
I’d love to see them come out with Tac-13 upgrades
Hmmm. Add some WOOX to a Vang Comp'd Police 870 and you have a legacy gun your kids will fight over some day.
I want this for my 20g 500, but I ordered the magpul stock instead. Just can't justify the price for what is effectively going to be treated like crap.
Very cool I love the look of wood on firearms and it’s nice to have the ability to use lights or grips. I think their price for the pump grip is fair. However the club grip or even the stock it’s silly. $120 for a club grip? Come on that’s not right. Either way they look great
Is it practical to mount lights and stuff on the forearm? Seems like it could interfere with the shooters grip.
Original wood stocks look better imo
Looks great on a shockwave though. 1ShotTV has a video of his Shockwave with Woox furniture
I hate those tactical leverguns, but this one is very tastefully done, good job Woox.
Bought a new 870’ last year…sold it a week later. Light primer strikes and the shells would get hung up in the chamber ever 3rd or 4th round. Had to slam it on the ground to get it to open up 3 times. Extremely unimpressed with the new 870s. I’ll stick to my Ithaca model 37, Winchester model 12 and my 870 from 1990
The fore end is a copy of Magpul's , just heavier -
I took my wood furniture off my 860 and went with a magpul setup in black, then I had the entire gun satin nickle plated inside and out including the parts. Wood is no good for weather swell and contraction issues.
Tim, do you still have your Sig invirtus? Ya know, the P365 that only fires inverted?
Wish Woox would offer the furniture in the colors they do in their custom shop for their rifle stocks.
My choice for best pump action shotgun continues to be the Benelli Nova. Best quality, best materials, outstanding performance
I'm wanting Remington to make the Versa Max tactical again and the legendary M24 700 bolt action to be more commonly available for public sale.
These stocks are real slick. I was looking at Them about a year ago, but the price of the stock is Same price as the shotgun
All I can hear in the back of my head when you short stroked it during that first string is a growling southern accent with blown out vocal chords and voice as smooth as an old gravel road screaming, "RUN THA ACKTION WITH AUTHORITIE!!!"
Good looking furniture. Does it pinch like the stock 870 fore end or is it short enough to not take a chunk out of your palm?
Wood is cool but I'm not changing out the Magpul furniture on my 870 for the Woox.
I think it is an innovative approach to a quad stack mag. I have no reason to crap on it as long as it is reliable. I don't think military or law enforcement units are going to be tripping over themselves, adopting it.
I'll stick with both my maverick 88's and buy more buckshot for the upcoming struggle
I was hoping this was legendary player from Old School Runescape, Woox. :(
Looks like wood Magpul furniture
So Remington is back..?
Have used the same Beutiful shot gun in the past but I said away from the polymers
I had an 870 express from 2008-2009 and I will tell you they suck at ejecting.
Thankfully REM ARMS discontinued the Express line
Ejection has always been weak on 870s in my experience. I prefer Mossberg solely because the ejector is replaceable and the ejection is really strong for a shotgun
More than the cost of the shotgun!
How do you like the berreta 3101 tactical, its a gas gun . Like to get your take on it.
I have to wonder how that gun would work with the 1 3/4 inch mini shells.
I thought about this too...
Reviews have not been positive. I can't remember whose video I saw gad serious trouble getting them to eject.
I didn't know if that was a "one off" or not though.
Magpul wood?
Nice, I am a 12 gauge nut, not sure about dumping another 250 on a shotgun that works fine. Yea maybe pretty but a tool is a tool? Well thanks and take care.
AGREED, they are good looking stocks. Too nice for me unfortunately. I carry my shotguns. Barn, closing coops, and runs at night. In and out of the truck... etc. Too pretty for me. 😅
How about some Beretta shotgun content
You could say it woox pretty nice...
🤘 😁 🤘
Do they make a Wookiee version with fur?
Woods nice to look at, but it’s gonna look like hammered hell after I take it to 1 tactical shotgun class. 😊
I like the look of the Woox. But it's too expensive for upgrading a 24 yr. old shotgun in either configuration.
How really reliable are the new Remmington 870's compared to the older models? Would you run a endurance test to confirm? Please?
From the reviews I have seen the new 870 have a better build quality.
Their reliability was never called into question. It has always been finishing/coating issues, the wear parts are going to wear over a fee thousand pumps.
Mine has been good, but it needed warranty work. I posted a separate comment talking about that.
@@TripleSuccotash1 *freedom group enters the chat.
The freedom group era shotguns were notorious for having shells stuck in chambers, weak ejection, and overall much poorer QC vs pre 2000s 870s.
@@TripleSuccotash1 Freedom Groups brilliant idea of a two piece bolt significantly brought down reliability. On top of just being built like absolute shit, they ran like shit to. My Dad had one of those CTi bottom only semi auto ejection guns, and it was constantly ejection live rounds.
Nice stock set but Ill definitely stick with polymer since its not as easily damaged. 😎👍🏻
You did not strike me as a Kato type of guy. 😮
The Magpul versions Woox copied is cheaper, more durable, ambidextrous, has more function and has better sling mount options.
Are the new 870s coming drilled and tapped or do we think Tim had it done to that one?
They are coming drilled and tapped from the factory,.I should know; I have a RemArms 870 fieldmaster and it came drilled and tapped from the factory. Same pattern as the old style, but with three holes instead of 4: the 4th hole on the old pattern was directly above the barrel socket and required a screw to be cut down in order to not interfere with the barrel. As a result, you need to find an optic mount that is made for the new pattern vs the old pattern.
@@burnyburnoutze2nd Couldn't you use an old pattern mount and just not use the 4th screw?
@@Howjadoo22 If the other three holes and the screws match up with the existing threading (which as far as I can tell, they use the same threading: 6-48), in theory yes.
The kit is not worth price.
Yeah, it looks nice, but it’s more than the dang shotgun!
Sure it is. Especially if you have a nicer 870 like a Police Magnum or a Vang Comp'd gun you want to keep in the family.
Polymer just has no soul.
Yea it does look good but I’d rather have two shotguns rather than a shotgun with a nice stock
@@JD-tn5lzit’s a tool
@@transporter13956of course it is. Absolutely. Don't you have any old Craftsman's tools that your father or grandfather used that you still enjoy working with or would you prefer using a disposable junk steel Harbor Freight hammer that probably won't see next decade?
I got this for my son for Christmas. The qd location on the stock isn't the best. The gun wants to flop over.
PULLRACK
I've seen several Woox products and they look nice but they are pricey
Well if you have the money in this economy go for it.$370 for furniture or ammo I’d go for the ammo.
Every time this company is brought up online, its a complaint about poor fitment, splitting down the grain or stripped out screws. Spending on that price tag is a gamble.
Wouldn’t a light on the forward grip/pump handle interfere with your hand? I mean, I have big hands and getting a good purchase in that forward grip/pump handle, and needing that good purchase when slamming it home, so to speak and rapidly working it, I personally wouldn’t want anything mounted on it. That’s me though.
P.S.
Are you ever going to make your intro into a ring tone? I’d pay $.99 cents for it. lol
Meh. The blonde wood on my 870 Nitro is why I bought it. Military style sling/swivels? It's fine.
Looks nice but too pricey for me
Do a Glock 17L video!!!!!!!!
It's $349.00 for entire kit that's in the video. No tax and free shipping.
$349 add-on for a $470 gun.
@@eosjoe565 ur not wrong, but it’s not $500 for the set as Tim stated.
I was at a gun show yesterday and saw two nice older Remington 870 wing masters for $300
Don’t know why anyone would buy a new one instead…certainly don’t know why anyone would buy a stock like this other then tactical cool look is important to them 😃
I'm more of an Ithaca model 37 guy.
It looks great but Prices way too steep I would be comfortable paying $125 for the set Not to mention I would not be happy if I just spend About $400 on furniture Just to have it get scratched and dented up The first time I go out to the woods
Don’t like that stock, the foregrip needs the lumps smoothed down and the grip part chequering.
Take an old one in original wood and if you don’t like it re work it.
I had nothing but problems with my 870. Remington refused to repair it and even after I had a gun smith work on it, it still didn't run right. Eventually just sold it to a gun store and let them worry about it.
What was the production year
@@taylorbrown3286 2011-2012
@@enigma6482 Ahhh ok Freedom group gun Now if you still have that 870 Vang Comp can work on Old, Freedom Group, New production 870’s, They fix all the problems and issues on freedom group 870’s.
Remington wont have the variance. The woox will have the variance
It looks awesome but $350 is too steep for me.
I don't understand why forends without texturing or ribbing exist.
I agree. For that money it's a hard pass for me
That seems to be a really bad place to mount a sling for right handed shooters.
Seems like a boutique wood set. It is good looking but price prohibitive.
I love shotguns, but a big pass on Remington. As for the wood, it looks good but a pass as well. Maybe for a shockwave..
