- (S2 Opening)
A year after the Berlin Crisis, in which two fleeing individuals from the Eastern side of the Berlin Wall were pursued through Western Berlin and later killed by a Soviet tank, Reagan gives the U.S and the world this message of peace through strength. - Hry
Nice vid as always. I'm hyped for season 4,if there is one, because we might see 2000's private space companies like spacex. Then again, it might not be around in this timeline. The one thing that saved falcon 1 was a client wanting a light satellite delivered to orbit, but with NASA having an increased budget the client might just ask them instead in this timeline.
Nah with ppl already on Mars, Elon will take that $300 million eBay money to Tahiti.
I dunno - if humans are on Mars in Season 3, and if there's already a nuclear-powered reusable Space Shuttle in Season 2, then what are the private space companies going to do? They're not going to be able to do much that the existing US & Soviet space programs can't already do.
@@manofsan Just wait until the economy crash in 1987 and democrat president Donald Trump start the privatization of the space race two decades before than in our world.
@@manofsan yep. Private space took off because governments fumbled the ball hard
Russia has been coasting on polishing Soviet tech, the US's budget was miniscule And stuck with reality's non-lunar shuttles
Elonçs company fine tuned the reusable tech NASA dipped its toes in but never fully committed too. The DC-X could've been falcon 9 20 years sooner
@Joesolo13 - the DC-X was never intended to be more than a suborbital demonstrator - even less than New Shepard is. They would have had to build it much larger (Falcon9 size) and used staging to make it orbital.
A fully fledged Colony on the Moon, 9 years before I'm even born.
Was Reagan part of "Star Trek" in his acting days in the FAM timeline?
Unlikely. He was heavily involved in politics by that time.
@@MM22966 plus Reagans vision of the future is opposite that of star trek
@@gerardanderson9665 You think so? A man has to live in the times he is in.
The impersonators they got for Nixon and Reagan could've done better.
The guy that voiced Reagan in Call of Duty BO Cold War did a super job on that.
@@samusaran11 I hear Rich Little's not doing much right now.
I think Nixon was ok, but yea
@@dalethelander3781 some of the voice of Nixon was from his watergate tape
@@samusaran11 the guy who voiced Reagan in this show is the same voice actor in COD cold War
The best modern president
I wouldn't call tripling the national debt the act of "The best modern president"
@@pixel6698 secured the victory of the cold war, tax cuts, firm of safety in Europe, best public speaking president may I go on. I bet you like Bill Clinton
@@liberty_prime7777 He practically caused 9/11 by funding terrorists in Afghanistan, sped up the collapse of the USSR greatly damaging Eastern Europe in the process, his homophobia caused a terrible response to the Aids crisis, funded terrorists in Nicaragua, ramped up the war on drugs, the US is still paying the price of his trickle down economics today, he slowed down economic growth from 10% to 7%, may I go on? I don't really "like" any US president. Every US president in modern history is a war criminal and damaged the lives of thousands in some way or another, and are not deserving of respect.
@@pixel6698 that's is true and no president was perfect but he was the right man for the right time. Yeah that's right he collapsed the Soviet union by making them try and catch up. And Eastern Europe is fine except for Ukraine. I have many buddies that live in Estonia, Belarus and poland who say it's fine
@@pixel6698 and trickle down economics worked🤣🤣🤣
