"Magellan" — Juno: New Origins (JNO) Cinematic
This was originally planned out to be a much longer video, but I lost the original video files when my PC stopped working back in September. Now that I've got everything situated, enjoy the journey of the Magellan space probe that launched back in 1989!

For All Mankind - Deliver Unto Phoenix
zhlédnutí 258KPřed rokem
To save the lives of his daughter Kelly and grandchild, Ed Baldwin must pilot the last functioning MSAM to its apogee for Kelly to then separate and rendezvous with the Phoenix spacecraft in orbit. There, the gravity rings and appropriate ventilation will replicate the conditions necessary for childbirth.
For All Mankind - Wreckage (1/2)
zhlédnutí 49KPřed rokem
After meticulous planning by former Moon Marine, now domestic terrorist, Charles Bernitz, and with the aid of the regretful Jimmy Stevens, he sets off a massive homemade ordinance at the main office complex at NASA's Johnson Space Center. This is the FAM universe equivalent of the real-life Oklahoma City Bombing in 1995.

Unbeknownst to North Korea and the rest of the world, Lee Jung-Gil successfully survives his treacherous Mars landing before NASA's Sojourner 1 and Helio's MSAM, making him the first human ever to enter the atmosphere and step onto another planet.
For All Mankind - First to Mars?

Criminally underrated space anime I discovered prior to the season 2 premiere of FAM. While this was the OP to the prequel movie that came after main series run, it still managed to retain the same spirit throughout. Definitely recommend checking it out and the main series.

Enjoying the show. I realise dramatic storytelling is point here but problem of realism here for me is ...the lunar module vehicle is not out of fuel so could have coupled ...or pressed up against...CM and burn to trim CM orbit or, at very least, maneouvred itself much closer so didnt have to throw from a mile away.

Oh ffs the probability of all these things falling into place is just BS. Is it riveting to watch yes but the volume of things that must occur in very specific manners just ruins the immersion.

I didn't like how the JSC bombing subplot distracted from this scene, and slightly spoiled the sense of happiness when Kelly and the Martian baby were saved and when Ed walked away from the capsule alive. I don't know, it just felt really unnecessary to have that terrorist attack, since they made almost zero effort to help us understand why the terrorist wanted to carry out the attack in the first place. I understand that it was meant to be a nod to the Oklahoma bombings and a sort of parallel to that real life event, but it just didn't fit somehow. I felt like they could have removed Jimmy's subplot entirely, and the episodes would have flowed better and been able to focus on the things we actually care about (you know, the stuff about SPACE).

Regular guns will function perfectly on the Moon, Mars or in open outer space because gunpowder contains its own oxidizer that enables guns to fire in airless environments, just like they do underwater. The gunshots will not be heard because there isn't any air for the sound waves to travel through.

There's no way the wind would be THAT strong at 1 atmosphere. Finally, assuming the wind was that strong, wouldn't the dude who got sucked out fly much further?
