Kendrick Nunn signed his contract on 31/10/23, he landed in europe (never played basketball outside USA till then) on 7/11/23 and played his first game on 10/11 (vs Alba in Berlin) and since then Panathinaikos climbed some levels with Nunn doing his things on the court. Mvp
actually, he is hating Ataman. but when Ataman was in Efes, he has to attack Efes too. Now, Ataman is in PAO, so he is attacking automatically PAO.
Augustas is the best. He has strong arguments for every case. He is not biased at all and he even is open minded enough to change his opinion if someone else convinces him with good arguments

I watch both Euroleague and the NBA, and mostly Euroleague because of the time difference.
We can argue, and i would agree, that Euroleague's regular season is the most competitive league in basketball (we dont include playoffs).
But NBA is by far the most talented league in basketball and there is a huge gap between the second.
For example the reigning MVP of the Euroleague couldn't find a spot in the rotation of the Kings who were a play-in team that ultimately lost the playoffs.
When someone is good in the NBA the chances are he is going to be really good in Europe.
Nunn was a starter in the Miami Heat that reached the Finals in the bubble (2020) and he averages above 12ppg in the NBA.
If you don't count his first 4 games in Europe were he played about 10 mins a game and he was trying to find his rhythm, he averages 17 a game with 42.3% from 3 and almost 100% ft. If you count them 15ppg 37.5% 3p ~100% ft.
His a three level scorer with elite midrange game. If you watch on game of him you can see that.
He has his flows, he is a bit careless with the ball sometimes, but his offensive game is top.
Also he is playing for a contender and he helped Panathinaikos immensely in securing 2nd seed.
Baldwin never played for a contender. He struggled in Olympiacos, he had his breakout season at Bayern, it didn't work for him in Baskonia and now he had 2 good seasons with Maccabi.
As of now, none of the contending teams have trasted him a spot in their roster. That's saying something.
Also Baldwin is not a three level scorer as his shooting percentage from 3 is on very low 30s. The fact that he has established himself in Euroleague level doesn't mean he is better than someone who was proven in the NBA and now is having a great first year in Europe.
I could see that argument for guys like Larkin or James who played for contenders and have been elite.
Baldwin is not up there yet.
Saying there is no discussion between Baldwin and Nunn in Baldwin's favour, is kinda crazy.

I get it, Keenan Evans is a great player, but I don't think you can put him in an All Euroleague Team looking at how his team performed. Markus Howard was the top scorer in the Euroleague and was key for Baskonia, who you guys predicted to finish 14th or so in the league, to finish 8th. He also scored +30 pts at Madrid and at Bolonia to clinch the Play-In. I think he should be at least in consideration, well above Moneke if you have to pick a Baskonia player.

Chima Moneke is a stat padder on the average team. He has a great personality, but do you put him on the first team? Come on now!
Macabi is by far the toughest match up for PAO but home court will probably do it for them

The biggest irony is that Duško "made" that Čović's (star) team for the final four and then took over Baskonia and brought it to the playin. I remember your 4-5th podcast when there was talk about Duško's dismissal and arrival in Vitoria , and you said then that whoever comes won't be able to do anything because the team is simply too weak, the players... The worst GM of the year and the best coach, Duško :)

Biggest miss is obviously Napier who took a big chunk out of Zvezda budget and who was supposed to be the biggest star(besides 36yo Teo), but there were other fails like Toby.

It's preferable to say that you have favorite teams than to say you're objective and not know what you're talking about.
yeah but wade came to europe in age 23 he was an still undeveloped , nunn came in 28 , these is the peak years of a bball players .

@@ofirhajaj I will highlight my previous commend where I said that Nunn at 23 has had in NBA 15points average. Luka Doncic at age 19 had 16points average in Euroleague. I am just giving you players with the same age or younger. We are talking about pure talent. Just to clarify, I am not saying Wade has no talent. Nunn is the best PAO player by a wide margin and the purest 3 level scorer in Euroleague right now .
If any PAO player should be in st euroleague team , it should be Nunn without a doubt . Lessort is guard dependent , he can't creat his own shot at all . He needs others to put him in good spots . Nunn is the polar opposite .

I was hoping for Efes to get the 8th place as they are the only ones that could potentially kick out Real if they play the way they can. Now Real will go to f4 with a sweep most likely.
Also Panathinaikos will probably advance 3-2 but I wouldn’t be surprised if they go 1-3 given they don’t have depth and rely only in 3 players not having a bad day.

I think that Bianchi is the best coach because he took over a team in which he did not select a single player. Before the start of the season, Virtus was planned for the 15-16 position, and he was 2nd in the middle of the season and has a great chance to enter the playoffs. I agree with Ataman that he made a huge success but he personally brought every player and that team is probably twice as expensive as Virtus.Imagine Alba or Asvel in play off...who will be than coach of the year.

Coach of the year should be someone that produces a great result compared to the roster he has and the budget. Having a superstars in your team that can easily score 20 points in each game with iso and crazy shoots does not give credit to the coach. Not even for picking them cause other coaches would probably pick them if they had the budget. Bartzokas for example kept his team on top level without any superstars, and with a record number of injuries he had to face. Milutinov is maybe the greatest name in their roster but he didn't even play for most of the season. And they ended up 5th and only a single win short of the second place...
Maccabi shouldn't be in Euroleague like Russian teams and nobody mentioned it. We have to be fair. It's common sense.
