    13:57 - Stage 2 Features Explained
    15:47 - 60-130 Flashed vs Stock
    16:18 - Closing
    WHAT DOES STAGE 2 INCLUDE?
    -Lower gear throttle torque limiters removed
    -Deceleration fueling strategy adjusted
    -Faster quickshifter
    -1:1 throttle response
    -First gear RPM limiter changed
    -Refined per-cylinder tuning
    -Maximum throttle monitor threshold raised
    -Knock control system revised
    **PLEASE NOTE: All Stage 1 features are applied to Stage 2.
    HOW DOES THIS HELP YOUR DUCATI?
    -Lower gear throttle torque limiters removed for full power and RPM without intervention of timing retard. Gears 1-2 in for V4 / V4R and 1-4 in Streetfighter / Multi.
    -Deceleration fueling strategy adjusted to get rid of twitchy, notorious Ducati feel. The bike feels smoother overall and has the driveability of an inline 4 cylinder.
    -Faster quickshifter from reduced “kill” times. The lag in shifting is gone and the bike really cracks into gears.
    -1:1 throttle response gives you a more lively experience riding the bike. Not only is OEM throttle lag reduced but power is also greater in tip-in throttle and light-to-light acceleration. A more precise throttle means better control in turns as well.
    -First gear RPM limiter raised from the OEM 13,000 RPM.
    -Refined per-cylinder tuning for better AFR (air/fuel ratio) over the entire RPM band. Optimized for track use to be more aggressive than Stage 1.
    -Maximum throttle monitor threshold raised from 83% to 100% in all modes. Higher torque threshold means more overall power and a more responsive feel.
    -Knock control system revised to filter out engine noise or vibration. Only true knock is detected by the sensor.

    Just picked v4s at Bren last week and the Stage 2 is amazing! You couldn’t have described it better.
    Hoping to put few more miles once it warms up and get some footage.

    Just picked up a 22 V4S, i'm considering the full akra, but I'm not feeling all dealer vin lock bs for the map. I'm seriously considering the BT Stage 1. In your opinion is the full akra worth it or is a slip-on sufficient enough. I keep hearing mixed reviews regarding the stock headers.

    • @BT_Moto
      @BT_Moto  Před 2 lety +3

      Depends on you. On these bikes slip on makes almost as much power as a full system. Though you will also lose weight with a full titanium system. Either way, with proper tuning and derestriction the bike is a rocket.

    If you own a ducati V4 and you put this tune in it it will completely void your warranty. I spoke with ducati about this and they said they will void the warranty and they can see whether or not you put the map in it or if you took it out and put the factory map back in it. Also the perimeters are there to save the longevity of the motor. What you're doing is you're bringing the motor to its Max performance.

    • @retiredtk
      @retiredtk Před rokem +1

      I’ve owned a 2018 V4 tuned and got warranty work with tuning on it with zero issues. What you’re saying is false.
      1. The handheld allows you to go back to stock anytime you go to the dealer. No tune in bike.
      2. If what you’re saying is true, any upmap, exhaust upgrade and any air filter change to aftermarket would void the warranty instantly.
      3. The magnuson-moss warranty act would require the dealer to prove the failure was caused by the tune itself before voiding anything. Otherwise it’s an illegal warranty void and they are subject to litigation.

    • @JasonDFD3S
      @JasonDFD3S Před rokem

      My Ducati dealer said my warranty would be voided as well by using an aftermarket exhaust and messing with the map.

      @@retiredtk You can argue this all day long but I have literally talked to my ducati rep then I went and talked to the guy who fights for me with ducati. And ducati sent him a letter saying if it's not their exhaust system that they recommend or their up maps that they recommend they will not Warranty Any Issues That arise in the future. Due to the tune or exhaust. also if they see that you have a after market tune they can void your warranty this is not me saying this this is ducati saying this. And yes they can see if you have been in the computer and you put a different mapping in it they can see this even if you put it back to factory they can see that you changed it. Feel free to argue this all you want it will do you know good I'm the one who literally spoke with the rep and my rep talk to ducati.

    • @retiredtk
      @retiredtk Před rokem

      @@markrossbach1458 talking to the service guy is vastly different than Ducati corporate or an automotive attorney. A dealer actually has no say in voiding your warranty, legally speaking. Corporate would have to step in and void it after an extensive review. Legally they can’t void your warranty for anything unless the part you installed has been proven to cause said failure. You don’t have to believe me. You can speak to any automotive attorney about that, as I have already.
      You said the dealer can see other flashes on the ECU. This is also false. They can only see a flash counter if they dig really deep and dealer networks on Ducati are not linked so if any flash counter is under 10, no one bats an eye. It over 10, it’s fishy and they may ask questions but they can’t pull data that’s been erased from the computer already.
      Your rep also forgot to mention that the exhaust and upmap (Akra only) that is a DP upgrade can only be installed by dealers to be valid for warranty (over $1000). If you install yourself, warranty is no good. According to Ducati, any exhaust install they do requires you to place the bike on a non-op registration, remove the headlights and tail lights, and be trailed into the dealer. This is the only way Ducati can legally install the system now.

    I want the opposite on a tuned bike. I don't want it to wheelie, then you have to back off during a race. The power is useless if the bike can't put it down properly.
