- Unboxing the Panigale V4sp2, now i was lucky enough to put some miles on this bike, may even show some more in another video, the guy who owned it asked me to do some miles on it.. so of course i was more then happy to do that for him, what an awesome machine, hope you enjoyed the video

What a stunner the SP2 is - particularly in black! the panigale V4 in any guise is without doubt the best looking sports bike....ever!

Yeah mate I am very lucky for sure .. I will do some more videos on other ‘normal’ bikes if you want to call them that .. like yesterday I was out on about 10 different bikes .. in my new jacket of course

Are those carbon wheels safe for the road bumps ? I heard carbon wheels are still a new thing and some blow up on road bumps when the vibration hits a certain frequency. Thx
Never had or heard any problems with them, these are good wheels .. but I guess a pothole in the road could possibly damage any wheel

How many CC is the engine?
Evo tech radiator guard is a good addition to stop the radiators fins from getting bent up from rocks.
They are 1103cc , yeah definitely worth getting the Evo Tech radiator guards, for protection and I think they look better black

Bought a V2 last year waiting on a V4s this year I actually prefer the red color over the SP2 colorway. Any version of the V4 is overkill on the street, but damn it, if you can afford it, get it. Nothing sexier.
Yeah the V4 does look so cool.. I like the black decals on the red bike on new 2022 v4… yeah it’s a little overkill for the road but like u say if u can afford it why not :)
Check the 2023 V4R then
@@fqeagles21 I've looked at everything I could find online it's definitely impressive but I just had the 620 mi service done and have yet to even scratch the surface of capabilities with the suspension adjustments tunning maps etc. The only reason to get the V4R for me would simply be out of a flex move.

Yeah looks so cool , it’s the racing ‘winter test’ livery so I guess they do have black Ducatis like that but I know what you mean.. but yeah it does look awesome anyway 😎

yeah a dry clutch can be a bit marmite for people..i was on a StreetfighterV4 SP the other day and a guy asked me what was wrong with the bike😂😂
That SP is incredible but the red looks Soooo good. I wonder if it would cost more to just upgrade the S.
Yeah I guess you could add the dry clutch and carbon wheel and other parts for the same kind of money :)

Well you could get the pillion seat, rear foot pegs , and side panels for the Panigale V4 but I don’t think they do the side panels in black and red like the SP, you could get the Streetfighter V4 black panels I guess and then buy the red stickers

how would you compare the riding position to the V2? i sold mines because i want a V4 but that being said i got alot of rider fatigue on the V2 it killed my wrists.
I would say the V4 is a little more comfy as it’s a bit wider then the V2 .. but we are all different so what one person finds comfy another may not , I broke my wrist bad a few years ago and on some bikes it can get painful but the V4 I am ok for a while , try to get a test ride on one and see how it feels
@@ProjectMoto sorry to hear about your wrists. I loved that thing just craved a little more power is all. the handling and stability was superb i have a s1000rr and its more comfortable for sure but the panigale has way more character & i felt safer on the V2 at higher speeds than the beemer. I will definatley be taking it for a test spin before i buy it this time around thanks for the feedback!
@@lazperez979 yeah Character is definitely something the Ducatis have over others , let me know what you think once you’ve ridden it :)
@@ProjectMoto definitely will one thing I noticed with the V2 is that it didn’t like aggressive throttling I’m sure I won’t need to do that on the V4
@@lazperez979 you can be aggressive on the V2 .. u just have to ride a twin cylinder different to other types of engines.. the V4 is a different beast for sure, crazy in high revs
Does this bike has a rear seat option??
No it doesn’t come with the parts , you could change it over like a Panigale V4 I guess and maybe use the rear seat unit from the black Streetfighter but you would also have to buy the seat and pillion foot pegs etc as well

Just standard exhaust , but the SP does have the dry clutch … well at least you get the Akrapovic exhaust system with the £90k Superleggera v4 🤔😂

How does this SP2 compare to Superleggera?
The Superleggera is another level to a ‘normal’ Panigale.. even the sp , you got to remember the Superleggera is about 20kg’s lighter and 20bhp more.. which changes things again .. oh and nearly £60k more expensive, the Superleggera is just something special , just showing what they can make
Does the v4sp2 still get hot like flaming hot? I’m having a hard time deciding if I want to get the pikes peak v4 or the v4sp2 and they are both coming next week 😅
Yeah it still gets hot like the other Panigale V4’s , they are ok while your moving at speed , depends what you use a bike for and what you want from it, the V4sp2 is an absolutely awesome bike, but for me I’d have a Pikes Peak V4 , they just do everything so good
@@ProjectMoto hmm 🤔 hard decision, if I was to get the v4sp I would still use it for street riding, just not sure if I’m ready to move from sports bike to more of a touring sports bike✌️

@@amossun6415 as long as your in leathers , for me any way, it’s ok when yr moving in traffic it’s just when you stop.. just don’t do it on a really hot day! if I wear jeans I always look down to check my legs are not on fire😂😂 , when I am moving along on down the twisty lanes i personally don’t have a problem, on a positive note it keeps you warm in the colder months

As much as I love it, it's just so much overkill if it only gets used on the road as a posing tool.
Tbh for me most of the 200bhp+ bikes on the road are a bit overkill anyway in trying to use all the power, especially on the roads we ride here.. but this bike I rode for a couple of days to put some miles on it for the guy who bought it as he was going straight on track and using it as his track bike.. but I got to admit it’s pretty damn cool either way 😎😎

I'm guessing that the vast majority of SP2 owners do not get it ONLY as a posing tool. Clearly, Ducati has put together a package that makes the bike phenomenal to ride. Let's say, you like sport bikes and you want to own and ride what you think think would be the ultimate super bike, and maybe take it to the track -- why wouldn't this bike be the one (assuming you aren't getting a Superleggera)? I'm looking for a super bike for next year, and I am definitely going to see if I can get on the list for a 2023 or whatever similar concoction comes out after it.
