Here is you a bad thing (or a couple) to say about it or pikes peak: It is not engaging or visceral due to weight, size, ergonomics. Comfortable, fast for what it is, but not really fun. It is loud and buffety as hell There is no front end feel due to the ergonomics and electronic suspension that doesn't give any precise adjustment settings (just preload and softer/harder for front and rear) The handling can be improved by sticking more weight on the nose via adjusting the clamp vs forks, cranking up the preload, and fitting a taller profile rear tire since there is not enough weight on the front to begin with (maybe that can help the front end feel too) At least the quick shifter in the rs is probably better than the pikes peak tractor shifter and there is engine braking adjustmemt, it revs more, and sounds more exciting. Ducati should make an actual traditional sports tourer that doesn't have the size, weight, noisiness, or ergonomics of adv nonsense.

It’s an awesome machine, but you loose the servicing interval of the pikes peak and gain not that much on power, so I keep pikes peak and a track panigale 😎😎

Save your money and buy a used, low mileage 1200R with Termignoni pipes. 1200 cc and 163bhp for half the price. A tool not a toy.

I had a white 250LC not as fast as the 350LC but smoother as the crank was designed for the 250 and they bored them out then to 350. Mine was in Marlboro colours and had a bikini faring which made it much more comfortable to ride at speed and over distance. Had a pair of micron exhausts but went back to the originals. The microns made a lot more noise but it wasn't really any faster with them. I think if I'd had the 350 I might not be here. You could really push the 250 and were in far less danger of killing yourself. the 250 had a top speed of 100 (but easily went off tune like these bikes do) and the 350 a top speed of 110. Not that much difference really. The 250 was much cheaper to insure, better on fuel, and much less likely to get stolen. I've ridden all sorts of bikes but as many people who've had these bikes say - nothing gives you the same usable sensation of speed and buzz. A lot of bikes are faster outright but the 250 is perfect pushed hard on a A road on a nice day.

Yep, here we go. I love to see other dudes driving these bikes. I was only one of my friends that did not injure myself too badly on the h2. Short frame h2 could do massive 3rd gear wheelies. The long frame h2 did massive 2nd gear burnouts.

It's a disc brake in front. The disc must be overheated/ glazed up from a dragging caliper. I wonder how many forks were bent and twisted from doing wheelies

Only discovered the channel a couple of weeks ago and now I'm hooked and can't put it down! Informative,entertaining,down to earth and humorous. Particularly interested in this one but would have liked a bit more detail. Eg. How to do a colour change from say standard Ducati Red to Python Yellow using the Customised Fairings Kit. Have you done one, what's involved, how long does it take etc. Maybe just to many questions🤔😅😅😅. Keep up the good work, great team effort.

There is a Pepsi RGV 250r SP model 88j for sale in a shop near me for about $12,000US that I sometimes see during my commutes that I have my eye on and want so bad. Your bike looks absolutely amazing though.

I believe yellow it’s the racing and anniversario color of Ducati they have to paint more bikes yellow like the monster Senna but me too I would take the desmo RR behind instead of them but I like the atmosphere of this fellas in that shop and of course service keep up mates 🤙😎

Excellent vid Martin! That bike was amazing! I've just got back from a week touring Scotland on my Multistrada Enduro 1200 and it was wonderful, the bike was a credit to Ducati. I wish I could afford the RS but would mean selling the six other bikes I have and I like variation so that wont work. Keep the excellent content coming! 👍🏍🏍👍
