never knew I needed a brand enemy! Thank you!
Bro change dem frames, you look like junior soprano 😂
I'm a recovering journalist who's now a new business owner & because of my hard news background, I had a very specific take and approach to communication. Now that I'm creating content for my company and positioning myself in the sector I work in (academia), I'm waking up to branding and marketing - things I didn't lean into as a journalist. I came across the channel very recently and cannot even begin to explain the value The Futur has had on my journey as a new business owner. Saying thank you seems inadequate... I'm so, utterly grateful to you guys. Much love from South Africa ❤
Thank you. Welcome to the Futur Nontobeko
Not having a target audience is like writing a love letter and saying, to whom it may concern
Wow. Mind = Blown.
I'm gonna steal that 🎉❤
Whenever the word designer is used I switch it out with dentist and manage to get immense value from your content. Thank you.
Happy to leave a comment. I really appreciate all of the light bulb moments you spark in my brain.
You're the best, thank you!
my big brother, after this, i think i love u even more, its like some type of revelation for me, i can use that in my bakery stuff, good chocolate vs slave chocolate, etc etc etc, thanks bro
Excellent point about using a common enemy to define a brand's position and ethos. Patagonia’s commitment to sustainability not only sets it apart but also builds deep loyalty among consumers who share those values. 👍
every video yall been dropping this year has been super transformative. thank you for the free, high-value knowledge
Thank you, I'll let the team know. We really appreciate that!
You're one of the main reasons why I've chosen to continue...idk what I can do to show you just how grateful I am..miigwetch for the inspiration..peace be with you
Chris can’t write like chatGPT, but can think like chatGPT :p . Legend in the field. 👏
“I want to express my deepest thanks to ‘The Futur’ for all the incredible content you’ve provided. Three months ago, I started exploring dropshipping, and more recently, I discovered your channel. Everything I’ve watched has deeply resonated with me and aligns perfectly with my goals. Initially, I wasn’t even sure of my direction, but now I am dedicated to branding a single product. Your video was particularly enlightening; it helped me understand the importance of showcasing what sets me apart rather than conforming to the norm, and the value of targeting those who truly appreciate my product, rather than a broad audience. Thank you so much for the insights and inspiration.”❤
Good luck on your journey.
@@thefutur thank you
@@huntinggamer1725 did you AI generate this thank you note? 😭

Thanks, this was so helpful as always. Main takeaway is to get clear in my mind and specific in my communication when talking about who I serve.
I definitely find so much value in the content I view on your channel. I'm a new small business owner, and I find it so important to have a clear brand identity, and respect my customers needs. Hopefully will take me a long way :)
I acquired a digital marketing business about 6 months ago, I have 15 years in software engineering but love connecting with people, not staring at code anymore. Videos like this really help get my mindset right about marketing, sales, and the value add approach, not just "Hey buy my service!" Thanks for the invaluable info and keep producing!!!
Mucho love to you Chris, the #1 teacher on earth
Thank you!
@@thefuturI missed the pro group this time but will definitely sign up in July
🎉 wow brilliant, I love the language change; it takes all the pressure out of it. Feels way more relaxed & intentional 😊 exactly what I needed!!! ❤
Thank for your continued sharing of knowledge. I opened a design studio which wasn’t successful but the success that I had while it operated where thank to you motivating me to be more organised and business minded as a creative.
❤ Hey Chris, thanks for the video. This video is very valuable to me. I will keep watching your next ones. Thanks again.
Love this approach

FINALLLYYYY! The Topics I love the most :D :D :D :D :D
Thanks for this amazing video. It is really helpful for me as a designer.
Amazing insightful and targeted as always. Love that I found the Futur! ❤️
Me too!!
Chris. That was exactly what I searched now to step forward. Thanks
Your definition on the role of a facilitator and how one can 'execute' it is just diiferent and the best thing ive learnt today. On top of that being a live example of it all. proving that having people ask questions and then ask them why their question would prefer one solution over others is the best way to teach a targeted audience with various backgrounds and terminology a certain approach to things.
Really good content, thanks so much! Super interesting.
Thank you for continuing to make this path clear for us. I can always rely on your content to guide me when I am lost or feeling confused or discouraged.
Great information that really resonates as I’m interviewing for a sales position as the only internal candidate within the company. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Love your succinct responses to these questions
Thank you for sharing such a valuable content! Chris. This video really helped me understand Brand strategy and market positioning better. Keep up the great work!.
Always AMAZING!!! So much value!!
Your dropping so much value

Thank you so much for sharing this.
Chris Do is starting a design strategy revolution!
I enjoyed your interaction with Nate (20:11) which I framed as making a distinction between enabling and facilitating. Thanks much for sharing so abundantly 🙏 cheers
I really love your videos, thank you :)
Love this. Thanks Chris
Hello Chris came to your channel 2 years after I watched the last video on your channel and I see that you have changed your image and fashionable outfit😅
Thinking about this, perhaps an interesting point is _how_ to build an enemy. To us things like pollution are obvious enemies and don't need further explanation, but it might be a bit harder to communicate your enemy in the consulting space for example.
Looking for the second part of this great video
great content, as always!
I look forward to the next part of this.
That said, is this video truly about brand positioning?
Thanks

Hello! What if you want to target a market as a brand strategist where the demand for it seems to be non existant. I live in Montreal (Canada) where most businesses are small business.. and not really in my the sector of interest. I remember a while ago being in a zoom event with Anneli Hanson and she talked about markets that are already well stablished and others that don’t. In my case, I would like to target the leisure and luxury market. Plus precisely luxury / premium accessories and hospitality.
I follow a lot of your content. Also, I have read few books from authors like: Fabian G, Blair Enns, Simon Sinek, Seth Godin, and Marty Neumier. So I think I get a few of the ideas here in this video. Plus, I have a university degree in Marketing and Graphic Design. However, it looks like my interests (or creative cocktail as S. Owens would say) aren’t aligned with the local market; which btw according to Chat GPT Canada isn’t really well know for the luxury business.
So Imagine I take your Futur Pro, and I don’t know Level C… what’s next if there’s not demand? Any advice on this?
Love it
Great training! How can I come to one of your trainings?
Hey Chris, what’s the fashion style you are wearing?
Sir in a new workplace how to identify problem/pain points and take initiative to create massive value for company and earn myself most money and faster career growth in first 1 or 2 years, than normal people in competition ? How to be an exceptional problem solver/ Engineer.. Do any books also provide information regarding this subject..

7:21 Marketing is communicating the value of products and services ?

Is this a question or are you leaving timestamps?

Bit off-topic, but do you think it's ok for someone to steal a car? So when did it become ok to steal intellectual property? Just a side note on something you said in this video about being threatened by AI. I see AI as a tool and I use it as a tool mostly for writing because I suck at it. For some reason, it's ok to steal intellectual property in the art AI side of things. There's also another aspect of it. Would you want someone to force you to teach people for nothing? Think of AI as a child who wants to learn how to paint and I come in and say, Chris Do, you have to teach AI or you are going to jail. Artists are being forced to teach AI without their permission with stolen property. There's no two ways about it. It needs to stop before it spreads. End of rant.
Patagonia likes to make 4$ garment and sell it 4 400$
Their own customers who try to greenwash their image by wearing Patagonia clothing 😂😂
In my view, a facilitator is a coach by the definition of the International Coaching Federation (ICF)
Love it
