Hello everybody!
Recently the album [Remastered Soundtrack] Mystic Square made by Paradise of Boundaries was released.
I participated and contributed several tracks so I will upload them little by little to the channel.
[Soul's Resting Place]
A simple theme. I wanted to try to keep that and the style of the ending of TH16 fits it well.
I tried not to put extra stuff in it so as not to disturb the mix and make it sound as clean as possible.

Wow, it's for sure the best style choice for this song, no other would match so well. Good job!
The light orange instrument's zigzag fit perfectly. These modern Touhous synthesizers (that leaf-green instrument) really impose presence. I also noticed that yellow piano playing to get even closer to the reference (although it has a lot less presence in this arrangement, but it's probably better that way in this case).
The eerie, uncomfortable feeling that what's playing in the background is also very well done. By the way, with this arrangement I realized how good ZUN was in choosing these choirs for TH16, because I realized better how they really convey a sinister and mysterious feeling.
It is strange that this track did not appear in the video for Paradise of Boundaries. I was even more surprised when I realized that this looked like another theme, after using half of the neurons I realized that it looks like Desire Drive.

I think if I had done it in the TH15 style it would also fit well and even better.
Listening to the original theme, the feeling it seems to try to provide is one of mystery and dreaminess, not so much as something sinister which is the feeling I got with the TH16 arrangement.
I too was surprised when this theme did not appear in the video. I guess under the theme of the video, this theme was superfluous.
You and another user mentioned that there is some similarity to Desire Drive. If they didn't tell me, I wouldn't notice it hahaha

@@KarlZuniga Oh, that's right, the end of TH15 matches a lot, it even has a zigzag too. The atmosphere also matches a lot, and it has a main melody (I see that in this arrangement you had to appeal to a synthesizer that doesn't appear at the ending theme of TH16, because it can be said that this theme doesn't have a main melody, it's just formed by several melodies background).
My first guess was that it was similar to Idolatrize World (at 0:34, right after the aggressive intro). And only now do I realize the similarity of a melody from Idolatrize World to Desire Drive... and now with this TH05's theme too LOL.
