Have you guys ever tried doing the CV carb mod where you drill out the vacuum holes and chamfer some areas so it opens a little faster? Was thinking of trying that on my 75 iron.
We have not but we will definitely look into it! It’s actually extremely more responsive now with the CV carb though!
@@hardtailgarage6938 Good to know! I was gonna go with an S&S. I have a Harley Kehin cv. Do you think the S&S is too big for the iron? I guess I haven’t looked into them too much as far as sizes or anything. The stock cv does seem to drag a bit but it’s my first bike.
The S&S carb is definitely to large. We purchased multiple sets of jets and idle jets to try and get it to lean out a bit but was unsuccessful with getting it to run properly. I’m not saying someone can’t get it to run properly I’m simply saying we got tired of messing with it lol. As soon as we slapped that CV on their she started ripping.
