- Nicotine pouches are the next product using fun flavours and advertising to hook Australians on nicotine, according to experts.
Though illegal to import, their popularity has skyrocketed nationally in recent years and are now available in stores across the country.
The crackdown on vaping is in full swing, with experts worried young Australians may switch from one vice to another.
“We’re going to have the same issues that we had with vaping with these products,” oral medicine and pathology expert Dr Sue-Ching Yeoh said.
Nicotine pouches are often confused with snus - a smokeless tobacco product sold in Scandinavia.
Nicotine Isnt bad for you, it’s a great stimulant that many people enjoy around the world.
Swedes have beeen using these pouches for yrs and with no risk to their health, our “experts “ are out of control in Australia, it’s a nanny state.

Sweden adopted nicotine pouches in 2016 and the percentage of smokers has halved from 12% of the population to 6%. They might not be 100% safe but they’re safer than vaping or smoking. I’ve learned that whatever our government tells us to do in relation to health…. You should probably do the opposite.
We are adults and should be treated accordingly, we are capable of deciding what we want to put into our bodies. The government doesn’t have our best interests at heart and therefore should stay out of our lives.
Besides, the addictive nature of nicotine and the possibility of nicotine poisoning from excessive use of zyn and other (nicotine salt) not snus but nicotine salt pouches, which are free of any tobacco leaf, therefore free of any chemicals associated with the leaf processing such as formaldehyde (carcinogens) would lead me to confidently state that these nicotine delivery devices are undoubtedly safer from my factor of 70 to 1 than smoking or vaporising nicotine, as a practitioner, I can honestly say as long as what they state is on the ingredients list is accurate which it has to be otherwise would be breaking international laws. I would recommend them for quitting smoking, or an alternative to Vaping or smoking cigarettes. but for people who are not currently Vaping, smoking or ingesting nicotine, I would recommend exercise and healthy, eating habits for a healthy release of nutropic chemicals in the brain and healthy dopamine habits.
How are they consumed? Do you chew them? Sniff/snuff? Or stir them into a cup of coffee?
