- Next up in the series is snipers! A little less interesting than shotguns, but at least it makes for a shorter video :) I'll try adding music to the next one.

Keep it up, you've more than earned them. The community simply did not have reliable access to this kind of clarity before you came along@@TheAegisRelic
@@TheAegisRelic The spreadsheets and the science! It paid the f off :D
Source: I saw it in an Aegis video
@@TheAegisRelicsilicon neuroma is kinetic aggressive triple tap firing line with adept mods and it gets placed lower than the arc variant? Not a bad list but a couple lazy takes. Better dps and total damage than succession but alright
Just speaking anecdotally: during RON contest mode, we were struggling pretty bad on Nezarec. Our team (myself included) didn't really know how the rocket meta worked at the time, so we didn't have much luck on DPS, and we were having a ton of issues even getting there so it was rough to troubleshoot. On the advice of Fallout and others, we switched to Thunderlord+Div. (Yeah, I know. Those were beautiful childlike days LOL)
Now, I had been in charge of breaking Nez's crit spots, and I'd been doing so with Arbalest. Can't run Arby and Thunderlord at the same time, so I had to switch to a sniper, but my vault was really thin on PVE snipers at the time--the best I was able to muster at first was a no-damage-perk Succession, which actually wasn't enough to oneshot his crit spots on that difficulty (Vorpal could do it, but I only had it perkless). After racking my brain for options, you know what I found in my vault? Of all things, Box Breathing Frozen Orbit--I had one of those that I think I'd kept for infusion fodder or novelty or something.
But it did the trick--it was the only 72 with a damage perk in my vault, and it turned out to be enough. We cleared like an hour into Day 2 and got the emblem.
Moral of the story: Box Breathing isn't particularly practical, but it totally saved my bacon that day.
I know this was almost a year ago, but thanks for sharing that story! I'm glad that you found a solution for that and got the clear! This made me smile today.
Aegis easily floating up to my favourite Destiny CZcamsr. Info is clear, objective and concise as per usual, keep it up and you’ll blow up guaranteed
Yup
What i've learned from this are:
Archetypes:
Aggressive frames - Total damage kings
Adaptive frames - PvP and Utility kings
Rapid-Fire frames - Dps kings (with close Total damage to Aggressives)
Elemental Affinities:
Kinetic - 15% more damage vs unshielded combatants
Solar - synergy with Ghorn, Lament, Parasite, Apex, Cataclysmic, and Briar's
Arc - synergy with G. Overture, Anarchy, Acrius, Stormchaser, Bequest, Hothead, and Wendigo
Void - synergy with Tractor, Leviathan's, Taipan, Regnant, and Guillotine
Stasis - synergy with Winterbite, Cold Comfort, Fire and Forget, and Reed's
Strand - synergy with Cataphract and Koraxis's
Snipers mainly have 8 main perks for PvE. Those being Firing Line, Focused Fury, Vorpal for damage then Fttc, Tt, Auto loading, Envious, and Overflow. There are other perks that are better like BnS, Tremors, Reconstruction, and Recombination but those are extremely sparse right now.
Omniscient Eye will be the biggest comeback of all time, if it gets a good perk pool in the garden reprise. It will surely shoot right up to S.

Love your content, keep it up! You're like a D2 PvE Bible for me lol.
Some insight towards long shadow being good for a long period of time was the lack of actual damage perks during the time. For reference in terms of viable damage perks at the time only Box Breathing and High Impact and explosive payload were in the game. So it was THE best LEGENDARY sniper for the time and was a foresaken weapon and got reprised again
For reference it would be 2 seasons (1/2 year) from its foresaken release for the gambit prime sniper to be released with Firing Line (The only one for many seasons), Vorpal and Frenzy would be 6 seasons later (2 1/2 years later due to covid and BL)
Pretty sure it was also one of the only decent sniper after sunsetting in the kinetic slot for a while. Thats why i kept one atleast.
on the basso ostinato and the volta bracket i think nanotech tracer rockets is very much worth mentioning, its a roughly 8%-16% damage increase depending on weapon type weather or not you have the seasonal mod
on volta bracket, it completely negates the downside of being strand
and on basso ostinato, it makes up completely for the lack of a damage perk
love the content btw, keep up the great work
I actually forgot to mention Nanotech on Volta I think, good shout

Definitely appreciate these breakdowns from a min-max POV. I don't run with those types, but we take the knowledge from y'all to make some more basic Master and GM runs faster, so thank you for that
I just really thank you for not making 75 videos on the glitched guns for the past week. Much love man, loved the vid💪🤙
You are the MyNameIsByf of endgame PvE content. I have learned so much about dps and everything from your vids

You are on a roll with these banger uploads! Massive props!
There's such a crazy progression to watching Destiny CZcamsrs. You start with Kackis, then jump up to Aztecross level creators, then jump up to Ehroar level creators, and Aegis is the final shape lmao. You are for the sweats.
I would also throw Gmeiners on your level. He's cracked

This is the only content my dopamine hungry brain can actually allow me to sit for an hour through. Thanks Aegis for curing my disability.
Damn dude, you're cranking these out and I'm loving them! Hope to see some primary weapon rankings. These are helping me delete some things from my vault I've been ignoring because I'm hoping they'll be worth using someday lol
The community really needed this channel, your content is the best
This helped me clean my vault thank you - great and useful content.
Lovin these recent "ranking every ________ for endgame pve" vids!🎉
This earned my subscription. Seriously easy to follow logical reasoning. After the video I have no doubt what's the shizz and also what to look for in the future. Thank you!
Awesome videos (shotgun and sniper)... great recommendations and now I feel more capable of cleaning out my vault.
When Long Shadow was popular snipers had good damage without damage perks and damage perks didn't really exist much on snipers, it was one of if not the first sniper to get triple tap. It's definitely a legacy item in today's meta though
Personally, big fan of collective action on A Distant Pull especially combined with Hoarfrost Z on stasis titan, it lets me get that 20% damage bonus no matter what I'm doing, and whenever I want. Combined with enhanced overflow once the collective action timer is at its max duration from stasis shards I'm able to dump the entire overflowed magazine under the buff timer. I haven't tried it GMs or other super high end activities but I'm confident it would perform well under those circumstances. I also get to match surges with a stasis heavy like Fire and Forget
I absolutely love distant pull for both PvE and PvP. Amazing snipe
Thank you for being the one person in the destiny community who actually pronounces mechabre right. You even recognized the “mech” part of it and didn’t just say macabre normally 😌
Would you be willing to do a video for each class and subclass specifically for scenarios with locked equipment (so no switching) and trying to match surge? I understand how large of an ask that is.
Edit: I understand that this would be a very seasonally based video. Metas shift. Could be cool to see each season right before GM’s.
I'm planning on making a "how do you look at a restricted activity and decide what to bring" type of video in the future :)
@@TheAegisRelic that’s perfect!
So useful. Thank you for your unbiased videos
Uzume RR4 was the sniper I used to solo my first Solo Flawless Dungeon, Duality. I didn’t have anything better and needed two shots for the bells 😂 I can’t dismantle it 😢
I've been loving my enhanced wewind wounds/kinetic tremors supremacy. Don't need it for nuke damage, just great for all around gameplay. Love it for destroying shriekers during altars.
Hey 👋, they nice vids and a lot of content, you are definitely underrated !!!
Another nearly hour long vid from the King 🗿
That hate to Long Shadow hit me hard. That roll got me through a lot of content and despite being the best in a dark time It pained me to hear what you said. But I know it was time to let go when DSC craftable weapons came out and my pants were feeling good towards succession.
O_O
One thing I wanna add to Father's Sin, my favorite energy PvE sniper, the origin trait isn't that bad! If you're dps'ing a boss that fights back, like Rhulk or Nezzy, reducing their damage out is an interesting option on master modes. Idk if it stacks with sever, but it's still interesting.
Psychohack stacks with all of those AFAIK but not really notable tbh
Bless up for the goat of Destiny info 🙏🔥
another banger from the goat !
Awesome video. Could you make a fusion rifle video? Keep up the great work, been loving your content.
Yeah fusions are next
Loved the series on specials man! Watched em all. Any plans to do this with primaries and heavies?
Heavies yes primaries no
Defiance of Yasmin has a perk combo that makes it one tier higher than you say. Ensemble + firing line. Ensemble is firing line for reload and pairs well with runneth over as well. Is it niche? Yeah but man it feels good.
very insightful and interesting
Love this style vid
the pain of waiting for the next aegis upload
My two favorite snipers are succession and ikelos. Ikelos is great for damage stuff obviously, but succession is the king of flipping switches imo. I know itll almost always one-shot any switch i need to flip.
Third place will go to supremacy for me obviously
im eating these videos up like crack i love them so much and my play is improving massively thanks to this direction im getting. make sure to take breaks tho!! this output is wild but also make sure things are at a sustainable pace don't burn yourself out!
No worries I'm slowing down because of school now lol
Peak of D2 education. A pleasure to watch.
hope ur having a good day aegis
Thanks cutie
“I think it’s pretty new” about Persuader
It was one of the snipers in the beta, I believe lol
(I know you’re talking about the current iteration, but it still made me laugh.)
Please do more of these
This ain't related to the vid, but I gotta say something. I am really glad to have people like you and Llama that do these kinds of things. You Videos are really nice to watch, you are unbiased and expecially as someone who likes to use what feels good (I literally deleted my funnelweb for my Seventh Seraph SI-2) you are also mentioning alot that is not necessarily the best, but also telling that it may not be the best. It's always nice to watch your videos and I hope you are going to continue how you are because it is prefect.
Also dude, 2 really long vids in a span of 2 days, are you insane?
In the shotgun ranking video you would constantly mention trench barrel being better on 1 specific frame and one two punch being better on a different frame. Is this the same case with snipers? Is firing line better on a specific frame? Is vorpal better on a specific frame? Same with reload perks, is rewind better than fourths time or triple tap?
aegis making me feel good about hammer forged tactical fourth times firing line irukandji with a stability mw
I'm loving this type of video, are you going to do this for every weapon type?
Yes aegis loves making tier lists can't wait for him to make his legendary pulse rifle tier list on stream
NOT THE PULSE RIFLES PLEASE
@@TheAegisRelichhaha.
Sidearm tier list when?
@@Vaultyboi22 this is what I'm hoping for personally
Is it not still worth having Stasis or Strand snipers lying around for when Surge modifiers are active in activities? Or do they still fall short of Kinetics even with the damage boost from those modifiers?
Typically in those activities you are rarely using a kinetic slot sniper
Half my vault is snipers. I’m about to get it in order. Thank you. I trust your judgements. But, can you explain to me why incandescent (Beloved) & tri-corn (1000 yd. Stare) are no good for end game?
generally snipers are used in a "fire once and move on" capacity, either as filler during a boss rotation or for quickly clearing out a priority add without having to walk all the way over to it. incandescent is just a reward for killing things, and so is tricorn.
you want those perks on primaries (and primary-likes, i.e. traces and MGs) where the ability to chain many redbar kills is more valuable. trying to use a sniper in that capacity will have you running out of ammo super fast.
I would love to see a tier list on Perks in general for dps options.
Perk tier list is coming eventually
Hope you know that we're going to force you to do fusions next!
Already halfway done :)
This guy just refuses to rizz up Adored. This a No Adored Rizzing Zone.
I’m sorry but I wanna see more of these long form ranking of all the legendary weapons great to feel more informed when making decisions on what to keep and what to use
Yeah I'm working on it haha :)
This is a great series! Do you plan to do primaries?
Nah I don't think so
I know you want to lower the amount of reloading you do at all times, but where would you place perks like Rapid Hit, reload speed plus a scaler? Also Voltshot got nerfed, so maybe it's not worth considering anymore, but have you done testing with it?
Lunas exist and Voltshot is pretty bad postnerf yeah
What makes the solar snipers stand out? Is it that you'll likely always have radiant active or is it for a solar surge?
Surge matching with Apex/Gjally
“You can tell by how moony it looks”
What do you like on Supremacy? I'm torn between LFG+Tremors and Rewind+Bait and switch
I use Rewind KT
got a god roll cold comfort and i use 2 stasis surges with it so is the 15% damage diference from stasis VS kinetic even a thing in that situation?
Not really since on CC you're not swapping after activating BnS
Would love if you made a playlist with all these rankings. and make shorter addendum videos to continue the rankings each season with new weapons.
Yeah planning on the second part
New viewer, great video, but as for your thumbnail, as I was scrolling thru my feed I saw the red bar at the bottom of your thumbnail and I thought i already watched this video but I didnt. Just wanted to throw that out there.
gotta love the tumulus
On Luna Regolith, does Precision Instrument + Triple Tap pique your interest at all?
Precision is really mid so not really, 6 shots for max and 1s reset
Hey! I'm a PvP player doing somewhat of a conversion to PvE, and I would like to know: why solar, and how? What makes a solar sniper so much better/what are you doing to it to make it better than other energies?
it matches surges with apex predator, the current best in slot rocket launcher. because of that you can use 3x solar surge and both weapons are benefitting from that
@@ciankiwi7753 Thanks bro! :) This is a big help, gives me a reason to grind out seraph's shield (the best thing since toilet paper was invented)
@@ziggy8894 Not only is Ikelos SR great, but the shotgun is also great for many of the same reasons and the SMG is one of the best Voltshot weapons in the game, plus all the Seraph-original guns like Path of Least Resistance (the only S2L trace after they took it off Retraced Path) and Retrofit Escapade (which is not as amazing as the broader community would have you believe, but I found it useful for a couple specific things like getting Wicked Implement).
@@life-destiny1196 Thanks bro! :) I really all of the braytech-involved weapons for pvp so imagine my surprise when I found out that bequest, succession, retrofit, fire and forget, and ikelos weapons are all pve viable. On my birthday too! What a beautiful life to live at the same time as this work of art.
aegis talking to the arc adaptive snipes like one would talk to their son who failed a test... "it's okay. it's okay..." when it really isn't :D
I do have one major question, i get that apex is more popularz but shouldnt stasis weapons be valued just as much, if not more than solar because you can surge stack with cold comfort, and you have ballidorse buff too?
Ballidorse is so niche that I don't think it's even worth mentioning in this capacity
Also stasis -15% vs. kinetic
Would rapid hit be a decent fallback option for a reload perk? I realise there are better options, but it does give a great reload boost as well as a nice bump to stability, helping with follow-up shots
Not really but it's better than useless
@@TheAegisRelic real
@aegis What do you want on Supremacy for the most output boss damage?
Rewind/Bait or Rewind/KT, usually the latter
i guess garden weapons will get rework for when thier raid will start dropping red borders...so maybe omniscent eye will shine next season!
Lets gooo great job dude keepem comin 😂
What am I missing on shoot to loot? I can’t see a gameplay loop that would feel nice with it

thank you ritzzcar
Volta Bracket a good pairing with Cataphract or do I just stick with Scatter Signal?
Definitely not imo
I'm a nightowl, could you please make the tiermaker background dark or black? Also, you can press the scroll wheel to open or close tabs.
Light.gg is a bit annoying with opening tabs sometimes but it's kind of a habit for me to use the dialog, someone else pointed this out recently so I've been trying to use middle click more
i feel dumb asking but can someone explain to me why it's noteworthy if an energy weapon is solar or not? for well-locks?
Can someone go further into what makes Succession so good?
I'm not too sure what part of it places it so high in the S-Tier above the others, with how they listed out what perks they had and how these are good without going too far into why they're good.
What part of it other than having the basic sniper perks and being kinetic makes it good?
How good is Reconstruction and/or Recombination on an Aggressive frame that puts it above Rapid frames?
In what situations would you want this over the other S-Tier picks?
1. Kinetic
2. Reconstruction is ALH + Overflow combined with no ammo pickup requirement and bypasses the biggest disadvantage of agg snipers: mag size
3. Vorpal/Firing/Recomb are all good in their own right
Succession is the perfect QoL aggressive sniper - high burst per shot without worrying about mag size, excellent for killing individual enemies or chipping at majors, especially when you need an aggressive damage profile to one shot a specific enemy
Imma hold tight to my Rewind Rounds and Fourth Times Supremacy. May not be the best DPS but does it feel good lighting up Oryx with 40 sniper shots because a heavy brick didn't drop.
Really missed out on the synergy of Yasmin, ensemble, firing line, runneth over is phenomenal synergy, seems like you bypass ensemble completely, but it's not a bad pick for team damage phases
Hey man, Eye of Sol used to have Field Prep! Not that it would make a big different but I still have an old Field Prep + Vorpal Eye of Sol lmao
Yeah I take most recent versions of every weapon here but I do recall that
Can’t wait for the fusion video to watch half the fusions in the game go straight to the D tier
Hahaha we're talking relative to other fusions so they won't be that low
Another Adaptive lover!
Hi AEGIS, I would like to ask you to make for beginners or inexperienced players a guide on how to dust khranailice year there are 600 aitems. How to distinguish whether to remove this divai from the warehouse or leave it
The question that is on everyones mind
I am assuming this is a question about vault cleaning that got muddled by translation. I am not as knowledgeable as Aegis, but I can offer some tips:
1. If you are extremely new, just don't delete any legendary (purple) guns, period. There's way too much information to process in a small amount of time, and it's perfectly fine to have a very full vault if you're not sure what to get rid of yet. 600 guns is plenty, to me at least.
2. As you play the game more, you will start to develop opinions about what guns you like and what guns you don't like. Additionally, by seeking out the opinions of knowledgeable players, you will be further informed about things you may not have yet tried.
3. You can safely get rid of a gun that meets the following criteria: if it is a gun that you don't use often that does not have random rolls, you can pull it from collections later if you ever turn out to need it. So unless you are using that gun regularly, there is no reason to let it linger in your vault.
Likewise, if a gun is craftable, and you have the recipe for it, you can just make a new one whenever you need it, so you can delete those safely as well. I would also delete a gun if I have something else in my vault that does the same thing but better; I currently have 21 kinetic slot legendary hand cannons in my vault, and I certainly don't see myself using half of them any time soon, so I can safely delete some of them!
4. Avoid getting rid of a gun that meets any of these criteria: if you don't have many guns at the light level cap (1810 right now, unknown if it will be raised again in the future--they used to do this every season, but they have decided not to raise it for the last two seasons), make sure to keep a few guns that are otherwise useless but have a high light level so you can infuse them into guns you actually like later.
I would avoid getting rid of any gun in your vault that does a specific thing better than any other gun in your vault--for example, I have an Auto-Loading Holster/Chill Clip Riptide, which is a very popular weapon for its ability to apply slow and freeze on demand more quickly than any other special weapon. I keep a few copies of Igneous Hammer around because it's an incredible PVP gun and I haven't settled on a roll I'm 100% happy with yet. Succession is the best legendary special weapon in the game for destroying beefy targets in one shot at long ranges thanks to Recombination. I keep Brigand's Law, Tarnished Mettle, Ikelos SMG, and Path of Least Resistance around because I love Voltshot for clearing adds and those four guns are all excellent at it. One-Two Punch and Trench Barrel are rare perks that only show up on certain shotguns, so I'm likely to keep a shotgun if it has those (unless I have a better equivalent already). I could give many more examples.
I think probably the most important thing is to keep guns that have some quality that makes them unique compared to other guns. A gun that is widely available today may become harder to find in the future. Two big examples for me are Fractethyst and Ignition Code. Fractethyst was a pretty alright shotgun, but when it first released it wasn't anything special, and because I wasn't much of a shotgun user in either PVE or PVP, I didn't keep it. Later, Bungie made changes to how shotgun pellet spread works, and as a result Fractethyst suddenly became much more important: it had two of the best shotgun perks in Quickdraw + Opening Shot, and it also had the best spread pattern of any shotgun due to having a precision frame--and there are no other precision frame shotguns currently in the game in that slot, so until they release another one, I just don't have any options that do exactly what Fractethyst does. Ignition Code, likewise, is still the only Slideshot grenade launcher in the game, so if I want to try that, I'm out of luck. These guns are now only obtainable from Dares of Eternity, once every four weeks, and you have to be extremely lucky to have one drop at all, let alone with good perks.
In short: keep guns if they are powerful or unique, and delete guns that are easy to acquire or that have better alternatives that do the same thing.
An auto loading perk with Cascade could be quite good for weapon damage rotation though? Focussed fury works best if you can extend the mag with reconstruction or maybe triple tap/fourth times, barring there's no firing line of course.
Snipers just aren't very good for DPS, Cascade was something I considered but largely passed up due to it being mostly on irrelevant damage archetypes and being relatively unviable in general on snipers in my opinion
Thanks for the reply with your reasoning, appreciate that!@@TheAegisRelic got my sub
The origin trait on father’s sins also decreases outgoing enemy damage for what it’s worth
Psychohack is super niche but yeah it's something that does in fact exist in the game
Doesn´t Fugue-55 better than Father´s Sins? I know one is adaptive and the other is a rapid fire, but at the end of the day both has the same mag size but Fugue has FTTC which is better than Triple Tap, and access to Suros Sinergy which gives you less flinch after reload and handling.
Suros isn't really a major consideration, but I think Fury is a bit underrated against FF and rapid vs. adaptive is a big difference
my distant tumulus has 1 kill on it and it’s taniks from day one
Did anyone try out a cascade point rapid during funnyguns? I've been wanting them to make one for a while but I suspect it might be a tad unusable after trying to put desperado on a 140 hand cannon
Cascade Point was extremely broken during that period yeah
how would we feel about TT/FTTC x precision instrument on a rapid fire? omniscient eye new roll potentially? (copium)
Precision sucks unfortunately
