From about 9 years old it was my job to drive the boat with the outboard motor and get him close to the trap buoy , slow down so he could grab it, head to the next one while he emptied, re-baited and threw that one over, all the way up and down the river. Now I can only put out traps at my dock but I always think about my daddy.❤
I crab for a living here in NC solo, fishing 150 pots 3 days a week. Its a hard job but i love it. Im about to switch over to shrimping for a little bit though
Crazy the crabbing industry isn’t more regulated by the government and the fisherman. In Maine if you even check another lobsterman’s trap it’s a good chance you’ll find your boat “accidentally” sunk the next day with the pumps left open.
Great video.. we own a seafood market and cook shack in Fl.. we are wanting to look for lager quantity and quality blue crab and crawfish for our business. Any places in Louisiana we can go to or persons to talk to for large quantity of blue crab.

We run a trotline baited with chicken necks or clams ! And use Jo's crab spice 😋. Also, thanks for sending us crabs in maryland . We can taste the difference and maryland crabs are better . I don't have a problem getting rid of them either 😊
We pilipino we dont put salt or any engredient we only steams the when we eat we dip the meat to vinegar salt union garlic peeper bit of sugar n chilli its so yummy. You can eat no dipping its taste good too cause seafood is has salt tastes
