Thanks a lot bud, haven't use mine for years, needed a refresher course how to use it
Nice video sir! Good work!
so its only 4 nails where you live? seems like a nice gun... funny how you had video of the gun sliding off roof... its pretty tough
The packaging shows 3-5 nails.
@@thatslumlordlife in florida the code is 6 nails
I guess if you want to know how slow it works sure
That was on me not the nailer! I'm not in a race! 🙂
@@thatslumlordlife sorry was thinking of getting a new gun and I guess that was a rude way of asking is it fast?
@@alexkent6512 I use the trigger pull each time, it also has it where you can just press it into the roof and you can go as fast as you can. I don't roof everyday but i like this nailer.
Average rigid user
Your stagger is incorrect for your nailing pattern. Leaves you with a nail exposed by the butts of your overlapping shingle.
I wasn't having any nails exposed. I followed the directions on the package as well.
He’s right you want to leave your nails pretty far from your seams. we always try to keeps our nails at least about 4 inches away on either side of the seam. Roof on boss!
And a 6-8 inch stair step.
@@thatslumlordlife no u didnt those are gaf elka or bp shingles they run on 8 inch stager and u 4 nailed like it was on that stager. fuck everyone grabs a gun and think they can roof
@@drakerichmond3786 🤣 are they not staggered?
For future reference, you should be putting 5 nails in architectural shingles. Roof on bud 🙂
Not on a 2/12 slope though. Higher potential for leaks.
@@deedsofdecapitation7477 shouldnt even roof that with shingle sould be torched
Just finished a 24 Square roof. Bought 2 at HD. One failed about half way through. They replaced it because it was within 30 days. But the warranty process would have sucked. Definitely won't recommend.
That sucks. I havent had to use a warrenty yet for ridgit but mine seems to be working great. Hopefully your replacement is doing well.
@@thatslumlordlife replacement did finish the job. The "Lifetime Warranty" has a bunch of hoops. Rigid was all they had in stock when I needed the nailer.
You are not lazy! Enjoyed seeing a 1 man roof job! Also is that your normal way of getting off a ladder? If so i will have to try that.
@@tracythompson1692 I dont make safety videos so... 🤫🤣 if you can, try to have 3 points of contact going up and down a ladder. I'm not worried about falling and most the time I'm carrying stuff up and down it where I can't.
It’s junk don’t buy
No issues with mine. 🙂
