      @@thatslumlordlife sorry was thinking of getting a new gun and I guess that was a rude way of asking is it fast?

      @@alexkent6512 I use the trigger pull each time, it also has it where you can just press it into the roof and you can go as fast as you can. I don't roof everyday but i like this nailer.

    Average rigid user

    Your stagger is incorrect for your nailing pattern. Leaves you with a nail exposed by the butts of your overlapping shingle.

      @thatslumlordlife  Před 2 lety

      I wasn't having any nails exposed. I followed the directions on the package as well.

      He’s right you want to leave your nails pretty far from your seams. we always try to keeps our nails at least about 4 inches away on either side of the seam. Roof on boss!

    For future reference, you should be putting 5 nails in architectural shingles. Roof on bud 🙂

    Just finished a 24 Square roof. Bought 2 at HD. One failed about half way through. They replaced it because it was within 30 days. But the warranty process would have sucked. Definitely won't recommend.

    • @thatslumlordlife
      @thatslumlordlife  Před 2 lety

      That sucks. I havent had to use a warrenty yet for ridgit but mine seems to be working great. Hopefully your replacement is doing well.

      @@thatslumlordlife replacement did finish the job. The "Lifetime Warranty" has a bunch of hoops. Rigid was all they had in stock when I needed the nailer.

      You are not lazy! Enjoyed seeing a 1 man roof job! Also is that your normal way of getting off a ladder? If so i will have to try that.

      @@tracythompson1692 I dont make safety videos so... 🤫🤣 if you can, try to have 3 points of contact going up and down a ladder. I'm not worried about falling and most the time I'm carrying stuff up and down it where I can't.
