Good to see you also showed how nailing without the adapter is prone to failure.
i just purchased this because of you, thank you my guy
cool, happy to have helped bud!
Electro galvanized instead of a full galvanized siding nail or aluminum? What are your worries about the longevity of a electro galvanized nail? Are you using roofing nails in that style of roofing nailer?
I was just searching for the VSA4 adapter for the RN46-1, and see Reed made one, but its discontinued. What all pneumatic roofing guns take, or have aftermarket vinyl siding attachments? Ive read Bostitch RN46-1, Max CN445R3, Hitachi NV45AB2 and Dewalt DW45RN.. Wish I could find one for the Hitachi because its the best gun imo.. Which pneumatic roofing gun would you choose if you wanted to use it for vinyl siding?
Thanks
Can you use this nailer/attachment with vinyl
Batten board?
What’s the recommended size nail for application
Nice video thanks for sharing sir keep safe
Thanks, you too!
Can you use it for fiber cement?
This adapter looks really great. Please let me know the exact make and model number and where can this be purchased and which nail guns are compatible with this adapter? Thank you
Hi, you can find it on Amazon USA: amzn.to/3pO3rdk
Where can I buy that adaptor for vinyl siding
Does anyone know what type of nails he is using and what size?
Where we can buy same gun
I live in Canada and dont seem to be able to find this adaptor😭
I've used a coil nailer just like the one used. I simply dial down the pressure and shoot accurately.I've never had a call back and even installed on family members houses. No issues. Just aim correctly and the siding will slide with no loose nails, damaged nailer or a 160$ attachment.
Can you use a nailer for vinyl board and batten?
The same boat itch nailer has a depth dial 1-5 5 being closest to your material. I’ve adjusted it to 1-2 and had fine rssults
Does anyone know where Brad got the piece of equipment he’s reviewing and how much it cost I’m located in Canada and would like to know if anybody else in Canada knows where I can buy one and the estimated cost
it's about $200. there is a link under the video to the website that sells them.
Price reduces to $159.95
I just ordered a boating brand adapter off of Amazon
Hi. Do you have any idea whether it's going to work with Ridgid roofing nailer?
I have no idea. Sorry
@@hammerandhome thanks
Wow what an amazing product. I wish they made these for hitachi roofing nailers
yeah it's pretty sweet. who knows maybe they will.
Sell your hitachi nailer on eBay and buy a bostitch
@hammerandhome it's been long enough and no one has made an adapter for the Hitachi Nailer. I thankfully own both.
are any adapter for metabo roofing gun
not that i'm aware of.
Where can I buy it ? Your links do not work
Hi Josh, we have sent an email to the manufacturer, because it's weird that their website is down. Will keep you posted if we find another Amazon link!
Air preasure ?
I think it was around 90psi
You really should have talked about the mail options and how they work because siding nails are a different gauge than roofing…
At $200 a piece just go with pancake head exterior grade wood screws and use your impact
if time isn't a factor I guess you could do that, but that would be painfully long to install.
Price reduced to $159.95
It leaves an improper gap. Every manufacturer I’ve installed recommends 1/32 gap between the fastener and the vinyl, not 3/16 of an inch.
wow, unless you are there it looks like a perfect gap to me
That's goofy. Not much of a difference
I’ve always been told at least a 1/16
I just repaired an entire wall of siding that ripped off in the wind, original install the nails were not set deep enough and WAY too much play…
okay so push the piece of plastic against a sander, a grinder, whatever.. and presto magic the gap is decreased.. not like hand nailing it is perfect.. unless youre taking 10 minutes to put up a couple pieces of siding.. tapping and pulling and redoing nails
Essentially a quarter inch spacer off the business end of the gun? $200?
Maybe I’m missing something...
you got it, not much to it but it definitely makes attaching siding fast.
Price reduced to $159.95
i thought this was a 20$ item and i thought that was a rip off... i guarantee you can find a print file for this online and someone local with a 3D printer thatll make it for a case of beer.. or maybe free just to show off their fancy gadget to yah
I left a thumbs down because they want 200 dollars for it that's ridiculous
yeah.
I agree the Bostich he is using is around $250, $199 for a small piece of machine steel doesn't make sense.
It's $100 now. For a professional that's practically nothing out of my tool budget.
In Ontario Canada they have 2 inch insulation into studs, so this is unrealistic
I am going to assume they are using a rainscreen which is put on top of the insulation (eg 3/4 plywood strips furring). You wouldn't be able to float a siding nail over that much insulation successfully.
Wow, at $200 it is way too expensive for a small piece of metal.
it's definitely pricey, if your doing siding all day every day I think it would be worth it.
Price reduced to $159.95
NO THIS I S SO WRONG WE SHOULD NOT OVER PAY FOR STUFF JUST BECAUSE WE NEED IT OR CAN, MANUFACTURERS SHOULD JUSTIFY PRICE. REALLY HOPE SOMEONE ELSE WITH A GOOD 3D PRINTER START FABRICATING SOMETHING LIKE THIS FOR ALL MAJOR GUNS. IT'S RIDICULOUS GUYS COME ON,
You put on two very small pieces, and I can already see the nails are a little loose, and the nailgun is damaging the nailer on the siding after only a few nails. No good
Why don’t you just use the depth gage
I think it’s he’s to get the angle right quickly each time, but you’re idea is right as long as your aim is on. The safety tip also makes that hard each time which that base takes care of.
Why wouldn't you compare it to Bostich's very own VSA4 which just so happens to ALSO have a build in guide jig???? Paid promotion and sponsors have literally ruined CZcams...
Hi Shaun, this was not a comparison video. Perhaps in the future I will do one, definitely a good idea. Like I said in the video, I only do sponsorships if I like the products.
Thanks for watching
$129 cough cough...
200 dollars for something that costs about 15 bucks to make … what a rip off
