Massive johnsongrass in second cut grass hay.

- This video shows an old 78 acre pasture, that is small part of a large farm with much cropland I rented. The landlords wanted this piece to stay in grass because it is near his lake. First cutting of hay was real good. This video shows the second cutting where the johnsongrass is overwhelming!
Thats some tall stuff! I don't know anything about Johnson Grass but I would be willing to bet that it will make a better turd than a snowball will!
It's not all that bad as it has more grass hay (fescue and orchardgrass) in it than you might think. We are using it as filler with BMR forage sorghum/sudabgrass cross silage.
