One must truly have an ear for remarkable music to appreciate the subtle nuances and unparalled genius this band offers to the world. You my friend, have nailed it. They are unlike any other band. SPOT ON!
Oh my gosh. I have loved this band since Red Skies at Night on MTV. They've been my favorite band ever since. I have been lucky to see them several times and they have been soooo good. I agree with all of the comments and part of me wishes they had been better managed and more popular. However, perhaps they wouldn't be as incredibly amazing. A small but very loyal following. All the best!
I simply cannot impart how very much I love this band. I had the great pleasure of seeing them yet again, a few years back. They were every bit as brilliant then, as they were in my youth. Thanks for sharing.
I always wished I had studied more of Jamie West Oram’s work instead of countless hours of routine guitar work. He is such an amazing and unique guitarist!
I recall being 16 years old, cruising around town late at night in my brother's Ford Grenada. Me in the back seat, my older bros in the front...getting stoned to this song. Good times.
A solid band with a hard rock edge that started but stayed ahead of the pack as far as New Wave music. They still tour and are an amazing live show. Saw them in 05 and they still KICK ASS....Go see them and buy their Cds....
Like my other two faves, (a-ha and Big Country) The Fixx's genius is totally ignored by the popular music cultures. Impecable vocals, rich melodies, layered harmonics.... and the lyrics actually have meaning. Today's supposed music has no character or meaning, its all just dreck!!!
I have listened to this song as well as the entire album for 30 years now! These guys are geniuses! I WILL see them play live in 2014! Thank you for 30 years of incredible music Cy, Jamie, Rupert and Adam!
Ive seen the Fixx 7 times all back inell the 80s & 90s thesaurus. most e e resent show was 2 days N 911 in Las vegas I was finally abec I saw the fix seven times and concert the last time I saw him 911
Thank you so much for this! Have loved the FIXX since the beginning. Seen them many times starting with the Phantoms tour. Cy is a criminally overlooked singer/lyricist. Dan Brown was a big bass influence for me with his tasteful use of empty space, cool rhythms, and fretless work. Funny to see Jamie with that Ibanez instead of his usual "Brownie". I bought the exact same guitar in 1983! Rupert was very innovative and a major influence as well on my synth work.
So I'm at work listening to this on headphones with tears streaming freely, and my boss comes in and asks me what's wrong. I panicked and told her I found out I have cancer. Fml.
Does anyone know what Jamie's set up is? What effects and amp does he use to get that crisp clean sound? I see from his toggle switch that he is using the bridge pick-up.

Of course? Depeche Mode was watching The Fixx Live In Concert? However? I think Joy Division? & Ultravox? Really started The New Wave Scene! In The U.K! In the very beginning!
...hard to quantify - label ! Fixx occupies their own Space...obliquely. Transcend the ordinary materialism....I live and work outside in the Pacific Northwest. Watched the degradation of the OUTSIDE.....crass invasion - degraded farming methods, disgusting Timber cutting policy, allows export of logs bypassing USA jobs. Were we more like SWEDEN--nay.........corporate and political malfeasance.
One of the most misunderstood and unappreciated bands in music. The Fixx are brilliant and unique.
One must truly have an ear for remarkable music to appreciate the subtle nuances and unparalled genius this band offers to the world. You my friend, have nailed it. They are unlike any other band. SPOT ON!
Oh to be an 80’s kid again 🤔🧐😩🥰🥰
The guitarwork is outstanding.
This maybe the best song ever recorded.

Jamie....no one like him anywhere....wow
The Fixx are one of my favorite bands. They have meaningful lyrics in their songs. I have always referred to them as a thinking person's band.
My all-time favorite Fixx song.
I simply cannot impart how very much I love this band. I had the great pleasure of seeing them yet again, a few years back. They were every bit as brilliant then, as they were in my youth. Thanks for sharing.
Said it before and I'll say it again...
Jamie West Oram!
One of the most underrated guitar players from that era and this style of music...
I always wished I had studied more of Jamie West Oram’s work instead of countless hours of routine guitar work. He is such an amazing and unique guitarist!
The Fixx is awesome! I liked them back in the day but recently got back into them.
ONE OF THEIR BEST SONGGS EVER: i HEAR IT AGAIN AND AGAIN
OMFG! I MISSED this very concert, due to transportation problems!!! How F-'in cool is the Internet!!! :)
LOL, Adam Woods nailing it
I recall being 16 years old, cruising around town late at night in my brother's Ford Grenada. Me in the back seat, my older bros in the front...getting stoned to this song. Good times.
They had some big hits, but I like this song the best.
One of the best songs ever written-there you go.
Great 80's Band, i was fortunate to see them at "Main Street" Auckland.
A solid band with a hard rock edge that started but stayed ahead of the pack as far as New Wave music. They still tour and are an amazing live show. Saw them in 05 and they still KICK ASS....Go see them and buy their Cds....
My father was a big fan of The Fixx and I used to listen to it a lot while I was little
Been a diehard fan since the 80s. They had such a profound effect on me that I made a CZcams video explaining why I am a Fixxture.
once oftheir best songs ever.
Great post!!! Nice to see this!!!
I really don't know why I didn't know so much about this band until now, they are brilliant! sound, words , amazing voice!
One of the best to ever exist...no weak links in the is band....mesmerizing
what a great act. I think they are great
Saw Reach the Beach tour when I was 15 , and saw Fixx again 2022&2023 , it’s like going back in time.
The Fixx are an amazing band, just saw them in a live outdoor concert here in Bend, OR. - still awesome as ever! Get their NEW album........
One of my favorite fix songs real relaxing
@22ndWave Cy's antics were something I have always just loved about the live shows!
awesome music

Thanks for posting this. Jaime's a wicked guitarist, what a riff and what a lead, truly inspired!
Any way you hold a light up to it:
a truly great band.
I have loved this song since I bought the cassette back in 94.
What a great back catalog this band has. You could really get lost in it. Their songs sound amazing when played live.
Wow, so long ago. Great band.
I have listened to this song as well as the entire album for 30 years now! These guys are geniuses! I WILL see them play live in 2014! Thank you for 30 years of incredible music Cy, Jamie, Rupert and Adam!
Love it, Jaime a great guitar influence, nice chaps, met once in Houston tossed a few Corona's back. Bass player is like a statue.
Fantastic performance - FIXX - from the early 80s
the fixx didnt get enough credit for their music in my opinion. Thier music is unlike any other band that i know of and thier music is very unique

Awesome!! I put this song to an outdoor related video when I was in grade 10 in '85. Love to see them live!
The Fixx is one of my favorite bands to this day and I am from Syracuse, Utah and I was an eighties teenager also!!
+Scott O:I was born in the 80's. My father was a big Fixx fan.

THE FIXX IN CONCERT KICK ASS...
Thumbs up!
Singing for purpose. I miss The Fixx, a band who sing from the heart
AceBanana100 they still sing
I absolutely love this song. Unfortunately it is not on Spotify. CZcams is gonna have to do
Boy howdy, that's some tasty guitar tone.
Yes! How does he get that? Been trying to chord/sound this song out for...ever... I'm sure it's online as such, but like to hear from a true fan
Not a guitar expert, but start with compression. Use ALL the compression. Then add stereo chorus.
So I'm at work listening to this on headphones with tears streaming freely, and my boss comes in and asks me what's wrong. I panicked and told her I found out I have cancer. Fml.
Hahahaha
Absolutely insane shocking job
Main St was on the left hand side of upper Queen st, and yes, i was fortunate.
mein absolutes Lieblingsvideo von The Fixx
Hahahaha What is Cy doing at the start? I don't think even he knows! GREAT TRACK!
Namaste.

Qué clima genera , muy intenso y muy denso.

Do you have the rest of this concert? I'm looking for the song "reach the beach" from this show. thanks!
Search that mind, need I remind, you'll probably find, remove that blind, better hear, see, feel , Outside as The Fixx Define: Outside movitvation.

those little microdots of acid were mighty a plenty back in 1983. Looks like Cy might've eaten some this evening @4:59
maxti6 u think
Possibly but to be fair; seen these guys in concert many times, Cy always has a bizarre stage presence, part of what makes them so unique!
Where's the volume?
Thomas Dillistone Lower right corner of my iPad.
20 thumbs up oingofan XD
Depeche Mode must have been watching The Fixx, and decided to make a band. Just sayin'
Of course? Depeche Mode was watching The Fixx Live In Concert? However? I think Joy Division? & Ultravox? Really started The New Wave Scene! In The U.K! In the very beginning!

Why are they dancing out of rhythm
