Fun Fact: The fake shiny Suicune at question 4 is actually kinda similar to its shiny in Pokémon Colosseum.
it also looks kinda similar to the original gen2 monochrome shiny as well 😊🩵 i knew it looked familiar lol
@@kayzee_bee yeah but that’s only because there are literally only 4 colours on the DMG and play it loud Gameboys, as well as the Gameboy pocket and Lite.
I was gonna ask if he had realized that, meaning that question is pretty damn near a question with no answer
I could tell because of the black mane before you say that is all that changes the blue is darker
Simply knowing this going into this question is what tripped me up. If I didn't know about Suicune's alternate shiny in Colosseum, I wouldn't have struggled.
I liked the time when Tos said „it’s Tossing time“ and just tossed his whole gaming setup out the window

Tos floating in his chair and crashing down seconds later is still my favourite moment in those quizes to this day. Is so fkn funny. I laugh every time.
The "Im sorry for this question" followed by Emil's theme as the Togepi and Togetic get shown had me rolling
and neither of them mattering made it better
and yet after deducing that neither of them mattered, i still second guessed myself and that was the only question i got wrong.

Fun fact: in gen 4 and only gen 4, Entei's face was a pigment of blue instead of it's current grey face that we know today.
I got my first shiny entei in gen 4, so I always get it wrong because of that.

It’s was fun getting them all correct one after the other faster than any of the previous quizzes and better too. Got ‘em all pretty much the second they were on screen. 😊
Another great video. Love these quizzes and those harder ones really are tough. The only two I missed were the Flaffy (was suspicious of Togepi's red and blue patterns and Ampharos' head and tail; did not think it was blue as the shiny) and bonus. I was starting to think 6, but changed to 10 midway through... so 10 points total.

Hey! That shiny Lanturn I hunted as a kid finally helped! Super excited for the Gen 3 quiz! Only one I missed was the baby question (Really though Elekid was more orange)

First time I’ve missed 2 questions in one of these, the flaafy one was disheartening probably shouldn’t have missed it considering I have that entire line, and the sprite question was super cool had no idea that cyndaquil changed colors like that. I think the old shiny looks wayyy better than the newer one now that I know it exists. Amazing video as always man keep it up
As a result of recently finding some of these and a little luck I ended up with 8/11. Gen 2 definitely has some of my favorites so I’m pretty happy with my score! Can’t wait for the next quiz!
I really like seeing the sprites in these. I think a lot of the time the 3d renders feel off, especially for older pokemon. Especially for these generation specific quiz's, it might be cool to see more of the generations sprites instead!
For the record the reason remoraid evolves into octillery is because its based on a gun and octillery is based on a canon. Its more obvious in their beta designs but they had to tone down the military themes for the final release
I rewatch these videos every few months (or whenever a new quiz drops), and yet I still get some of the questions wrong 😂

I got 11 out of 12, the only one I got wrong was question 8, I could swear that Snubbull's feet aren't that orange..
I also got 11 out of 12 I never played the og gen 2 so I just guessed

#11 rolled around and I just cackled; After all, it’s impossible to forget one’s first-ever Pokémon when it sparkled so beautifully.
…and also that sprite had one too many colors for the palette limitation of the Generation.
I only just discovered this series, and it’s great fun already. As someone who has Shiny Hunted in Gen II since my childhood, it definitely made me flex my brain since I had to think about Shinies that had changed since then. Speaking of, I have a Shiny Lanturn on my team in my Silver cartridge!
Perfect score! Question 11 almost got me, I’m quite a recent fan and haven’t played many of the old games, but I had an inkling shiny cindaquil was different in the old games! I’m loving these shiny quizzes so far, keep up the good work!

I knew the question with the gen2 sprites right away because of the game boy limitations. Each gen2 sprite has black, white, and 2 other colors. The fake cyndaquil you made had 2 extra colors so I could tell it wasn’t from the game. I really enjoyed that you did one with the sprites though really cool to see.
Was gonna comment the same thing! Really obscure pokemon gen2 knowledge that i became obsessed with a couple years back! But also, im hunting cyndaquil so i knew regardless.
Wooooooo! Perfect score! The sprite question got me sweating, I hesitated between Chikorita and Cyndaquil but I was confident some purple was involved in the gen 2 sprite for Cyndaquil.

I only got the Magby wrong because I thought Smoochum was purple, but I got EVERY OTHER QUESTION RIGHT it felt so good to be right

also something that made number 11 obvious, gen 2 sprites were limited to 4 colors, 2 of which being black and white, but your sprite contains quite a few more than that, not sure if that was on purpose or not

I'm glad to say I didn't miss a single one of these, even tho my reasoning for Flaafy was different(Thought maybe the normal had a green tail, but knew it was NEVER gold). And I got the bonus so fast too. There's no way I'd not be able to instantly pick out the correct one when it's my favorite shiny pokemon ever.XD
As someone who spent 180 hours hunting for a Shiny Cyndaquil in Gold, I see the pixelart one as an absolute win.

Fun Fact: The fake shiny sprite was easy to spot because gen 2 sprites only use two colors + black and white, and there were three colors (two in the flames and the different body, plus a few stray pixels of blended colors) in the cyndaquil! This is the first and probably only time I'm gonna get 100% on this quiz series hehe

I'm so happy, I got a perfect score! This quiz was so hard though. The one that I almost got wrong was Bellossom, changed my answer multiple times before I locked it in. The Gen 2 sprites also threw me for a whirl, but I remembered a pinkish purple Cyndaquil sprite in the back of my mind and went with my gut. This was so satisfying, I actually cheered and screamed

I love these challenges. Always test myself and play with your friends=3 You did an amazing job, as always=3If these were sprites I think that would be a bit easier. Since Pokemon entered 3D era - desaturation messed up a lot of shiny and regular colours=(

in the gen 2 sprite question, what gave it away is that Cyndaquill had 5 different color pixels. However, all Gen 2 Pokemon sprites were only allowed to have 4 colors.
