Are you kidding me?! I was just about to place an order for the CS25T. The Anytone AT-5888UV III has a similar problem - low output mic! Boring out the hole, and aligning it to the aperture did nothing. Previously, I had the TYT-9000D and that was absolute garbage and the mic was outright defective. Essentially, there are no other 222 MHz radios. It’s nice that you salvaged the radio, but for most, it defeats the purpose of having such a small radio, and having to outfit so much just to increase the mic output. Thanks for the honest review!!

Congrats on having the first review of this radio on CZcams! I have a quick question, does the label on the radio say Made in Japan? Thanks

Japan. The manual was printed in China. Honestly, really hard to say where the radio was made in my opinion.

Thanks for the great video. Is it possible to change frequencies or memory channels without using the stock mic? I don't see a VFO anywhere.

One issue has popped up. The transceiver seems to forget the volume level it is on. When you turn it on and open the squelch the volume is at maximum when your volume knob is turned all the way down. You have to reset this has happened three times.

Where was this made? China or Japan? Does it have a "packet" connector on the back like the old ones did?

    • @gliv2
