- This is my 2015 Ram R/T with a Borla ATAK system made for a Jeep SRT8 392. This system was completely custom made featuring a 2.5 inch true dual with a 2.5 inch in and out X-pipe, and the Borla ATAK system. All in I spent around $1100 and I believe it was completely worth it. There is no drone until you hit about 70mph. But at the end of the day it's a hemi and you don't buy for it to sound like a Prius. Over all I'm very pleased with the exhaust. Mods to come are a AirAid intake, Diablo Sport Tuner, and possibly Stainless Works Long Tube Catted headers.

This is the best sounding 4th gen ram I have ever heard. I've got a 2013 ram sport with catless y pipe, borla xr1 muffler, resonator deletes, and borla 5" tips but I'm thinking about switching to your setup now
that is the perfect system everybody's been looking for systems like these are in very high demand to have on a nice truck or any truck for that matter.
Best sounding ram on CZcams!! The long tubes and Borland make a helluva difference over cutting the resonators and putting a cherry bomb on.

Sounds damn good. I purchased a brand new 2015 Ram 1500 4x4 Crew Cab with the 5.7L Hemi and it has the 8 speed automatic (love it). At the dealership before I had even signed the papers we were on the internet and looking at custom exhausts and outside of a muffler delete your system is the best sounding and what I wanted to do. That being said, less then 14 hours after I purchased it I had it at a local muffler shop getting the muffler cut off and a Y pipe welded in its place. Total cost was $130 and I know I could have got it done cheaper by simply calling around to other shops but I wanted it done immediately LOL. I love the sound of it, I was going to install a custom exhaust later but have decided against it, it sounds to good as is. It turns heads and I get lots of compliments!! Down side, my MPG is garbage because I'm always getting on the throttle :-) Anyone considering doing the same thing I highly recommend it! Just have it done by someone that knows what they are doing so if you think its to loud you can have your stock muffler put back in. I have many videos on my channel demonstrating how mine sounds. Granted IF I had the extra money laying around I would have invested in the setup you have. Take Care.

Noone seemed to of noticed but he has a custom license plate that says like "DQO S55" so someone trying to read your plate would be unable to without good vision and being extremely close. Smart guy

If you have already done a remote start once and shut it off with the key fob and then try to restart it, it won't let you. Or if it has less than 1/4 tank of gas and below freezing out, it also won't remote start. Or in your case, the hood is open, it won't. Sounds badass man!!

Love the sound. I have the exact same truck, canadian version. same colour as well. Thinking about the Borla S type because I had it on my mustang, but now i'm thinking the ATAK.
I have the s-type on my 2015 ram. Really bad drones, and the sound is not that good, not that loud, true waste of money in my opinion.... I'm looking to set mine up just like this guy... He's done an amazing work on installing jeep's atak on his ram

Those hemi's just have the best note, even out of the factory. I have a 2015 Mustang GT 5.0. I listened to all kinds of cat back syetems and nothing comes close to this. I looked at the RAM trucks. If I had more money, I would buy one also.!
Check out the corsa extreme cat back for your 5.0. I was torn between that and a Borla atak when I had my boss 302. I miss that car a lot. I wish I would have never got rid of it.
As much as everybody hates on Flowmaster, I had the Outlaws on my 2011 5.0 and it sounded incredible. Online videos don't do it justice. After hearing my car a couple guys got rid or their Borla's to get Flowmaster Outlaws
+Daniel Richard to me flowmaster is either hit or miss. I had a 40 series cat back on my 05 GT and it was alright. I'm personally a Borla fanatic. I was going to to full Borla on my 12 boss 302 before I sold it.
For whatever reason on the new 5.0s a straight through muffler, like the Outlaws, sounds the best. I was a little leery when I ordered them but couldn't have been happier once I installed them. One of my buddies had Borla ATAKs then Borla S-Types and finally got the Outlaws and was extremely happy with them.
Wow, I just looked them up, they are loud? I don't want the neighbors to complain. The 5.0 no matter what you put on them, just does not sound as good on idle as a RAM. Wish I had a RAM in my Stang. thanks!

Sounds awesome...just picked up a '15 Ram with the Hemi today and trying to figure out what to do. I won't go this extreme with the exhaust...was thinking K&N Cold Air Intake and free flowing muffler....

No this is not a direct fit. Everything had to be custom fabricated. The only thing that was used was the actual mufflers. Everything else is custom.

Have you added some resonators to yet? I just bought the borla atak off the jeep as well and will be installing once we have some better weather in Canada.
I just got a 2016 GMC sierra. My 2013 was having to many issues had 190k miles on it. Going take out the cats and put a X pipe with true duals 7 inch tips headers and intake plus program only has 20 miles so going wait other 500. I think also a 8 bds lift with 38 inch nittos
I found out that them X-pipes has a way of making a true dual setup not as throaty and making things a little quieter! BUT that truck will pull way harder speeding up vs not having a X-pipe on.

When 4 cylinder mode (MDS) kicks in it has done.
TheJoeMan99 that's why I removed MDS. But when it was active it was bad. But I don't have that issue anymore.

Thanks. I saw you had a vararam intake. How do you like it by any chance. Are you able to hear it in the cab and do you feel a noticeable difference with it. I'm going to do one later this year and pair it with a Edelbrock E-Force supercharger. I'm hoping for 600hp with full boltons and a supercharger. I know it's optimistic and I'll have to probably port the blower and upgrade the pulley and do a serious tune but I'll get it done.
If I have to I'll salvage a core from a hellcat or rebuild it to hellcat specifications. I mean I've seen turbo jeep SRT8s that have the 8 speed and they don't seem to have any issues. But yeah I will do a supercharger but that will be my last modification. It will be on the truck before I have 20k miles for a fact. I have 6k now. I'll post videos of every modification. My lowering kit is next. To bad on the vararam not having that nice intake whistle. My SRT10 has a K&N ram air and it whistles like no other.
just swap in the SC 6.2 from the hellcat instead ;) that would be sick. yeah I've seen that but i read on the ram forums that some guy procharged his 8 speed ram and was having issues. what kit are you going to use to lower your truck? I've been thinking about either lowering mine or just do a 2" rear drop. yeah it all depends on the CAI you use.
I would if I had a spare 30k laying around for that engine. But unfortunate that's what my truck cost so that's out of the question. I'm planning on doing the Ground Force Lowering Kit 2" Front 3" Rear. I'm also going to order front and rear sway bars and rear lower control arms. I'm hoping to have it done by the end of the year.

Well most people have no idea what they are talking about when the say they have a dual exhaust. It's usually a single in dual out. So I have to emphasize "true" for the people who have an IQ lower then a shovel.

That's the first dry shaft I seen with no rust on ram 1500.
I live in FL. So there is no snow and no salt. My 04 srt10 I bought new looks the exact same and has 150k miles today.

It's possible to do it that way. But you won't get the same sound. I advise if you want the Borla atak you might as well spend the extra money and do it all the way.

What's your opinion on GMC's 5.3 ecotech? I'm trying to decide which truck to choose between a 2016 Ram 1500 R/T, or a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 Regular Cab with the 5.3. I love the exterior or the Sierra compared to the ram, and I'm fine with either interior, but can't decide against the 5.7 hemi or 5.3 ecotech. I know the hemi has more horsepower and torque but I'm still not sure of its enough to where I'de be better off with it than to the Sierra. If I could get the 6.2 In a regular cab Sierra I'de choose that one in a heartbeat.
I think the 5.3 engine itself is trash. It doesn't have enough ass to it. I'd go with the 16 R/T all day long. Especially cause of the 8 speed transmission and the 3.92 LDS. If the 6.2 came in a regular cab I would understand that over the hemi. But because it doesn't. I would go with the hemi all day long.
Why do you think the 5.3 is trash exactly? My aunt has a 2015 suburban with the 5.3 and its seems pretty decent, but that's from a guy that loves cars, but doesn't exactly know the mechanics of the engine completely.
+Tony Hampton I have 2 friends 1 has a 2015 GMC Sierra Z60. Paid nearly 50k and has driven a loaner more then his own truck cause of power train issues. The other has a 2014 Silverado Z71. Paid over 50k and again has driven a loaner more then his truck cause of power train issue. Both have filed for the lemon law and are wanting Ram quad cab sport hemis. And both purchased the trucks brand new.
