@@MrColuber I didn't say it was. But he history of the genre is in fact tied to the cultural anthropology of the country. That doesn't mean it has to affect your enjoyment of it, but it doesn't change the fact that it is what it is historically/contextually.
Unfortunately the dictatorship involved and injected politics into Fado for propaganda purpose...
