WARS is really a pinnacle of polish trains. the dining is great on european scale!
Isn't it just!!
and what you expected indian scale ppl on roofs
not alwazs
The voice overs give your videos that extra something. Really good job.
Ah thanks Howard, that means a lot!! ✌🏻
Yes, the inclusion of a real dining car is a major plus for any railway - most sadly gone. I did this route in reverse when travelling on the Moscow-Paris train back in 2017. A Polish dining car was attached at Terespol and I enjoyed an excellent dish of pierogi (Polish dumplings) and wine. Great memories.
Thanks for sharing!
Loved the voice over. Please continue to do so.
😁✌🏻
Yes, the voice-over is absolutely a welcome addition.
Something I forgot to mention with the non-narrated version: I had no idea that the Brandenburg Gate had to do with the history of my native Netherlands, so, um, one learns something every day.
Haha glad you're enjoying the new style!
Dzien dobry ;-)) As a long-term resident of Warsaw, I really should do more train trips - as you say, the service quality is usually great. Over the years I've done some trips to and from the Baltic coast (including in a solo couchette on the night train), many runs to and from Krakow for work purposes, and the Berlin run a couple of times as part of longer journeys from Amsterdam and London, and never had a problem. The rolling stock quality has improved a lot in the time, and the dining cars in particluar. I'd be happy to make the whole journey in a WARS car, enjoying the scenery and the beers!
I definitely plan to Bob! ✌🏻😊
I love the voice-over. I usually watch the videos in situation when I don't really want to read, like while eating. Voice-over makes it much more relaxed for me.
Excellent thank you 🤠
It looks huge !! Such a big beautiful train station !! 😍👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🚅💞
Absolutely ❤ this new format with voiceovers. Allows your audience to concentrate on what your presentation is all about whilst audio is explaining without having to read captions and watch video simultaneously. 😉👍🏻
Thank you Rob! I'm glad you like it, I really am!! 😁
Great video !!
I was very pleased with your next film from our country I believe that in 2026 you will be able to travel from Poland to Estonia on the Rail Baltica route thank you for a great video 👍
I can't wait til it's operational ✌🏻
Loving the voice over! Your voice is very calming to listen to!
Thanks Raphael 😁
Another insightful and relaxing video! I must agree with everyone else, the voiceover is great!
✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
Hi. Voiceover: thank you, thank you, thank you! The canopy above the platforms is great. I love a corridor coach - even if it's a throwback. I also love the use of wood panelling. That's fantastic value for money!
Glad you liked it Paul 😄
I love the voiceover, gives me time to enjoy what I am seeing. without trying to read the caption. Thank you
Thank you!!!
Definitely love the voiceover!
Thanks Daniel 🙂
It was great. I enjoyed watching it and loved it. 👍👍👍😍😍😍
Thank you Sharon 😊
Beautifully. In a short period of time, PKP has changed beyond recognition... All of Poland, too... Best regards
Poland, best country in Europe 😍
Love the voice over!
Very nice trains these are as well the seats that do look really comfortable for a long journey. Awesome 🤩
Glad you liked the video Andrew! ✌🏻
Loving the vids mate! Location animations are cool too!
Thanks brother 🙏🏻😁
I liked the voice over. 👌. Calm and relaxing. Long may you continue.
Thank you Danni 😊
Absolutely stunning
Loving the narration. I took this train myself many years ago from Berlin Zoo (no Hauptbahnhof then)!
Great trip. Voiceover with subtitle, nice touch, keep it up.
Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked it 😁
Love the narration! You have a great voice for it.
Glad you liked it Beth!
Loved that trip, I travelled from Warsaw to Berlin in that train last year, I just loved it! Compartments are great and comfy and the food is amazing!
Totally agree!
Great journey and you describe it so well. No unnecessary 'like' or 'yeah' or worse: 'like yeah' 🤣 You have quickly set an excellent standard of commentary to go with the excellent images.
I'm glad you liked it Chris 😀
it's really amazing my friend
Thanks for the ride, I really enjoyed it and thanks for taking me with you.
You're welcome 🤗
A TLK-train from Swinoujscie to Krakow night time. Old school 1:st class coaches running as 2:nd class. No AC , no 230 or 5V , no Wi-Fi, no dining car but with retractable Windows and very cheap
I'll be doing this in the near future for sure !! So,very very interested to watch this one !! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🚅💞
Cool addition to your videos! I like it! 😊
Thanks 😊
Love the voiceover - means i can enjoy the videos as background while working :)
Yay, thank you!
If I'm not mistaken, I took this train to Poznań, then changed to travel south to Katowice, where my boyfriend lives 🥰 Sadly mine was far more crowded and I couldn't get a seat due to having to rebook at the last minute thanks to the chaos of the days that preceded, but at least I got some free water to drink whilst I sat on the floor 🙂
Oh dear, that sounds horrible lol
I'm polish, and I go on PKP Intercity trains quite often, but my 2 most fauvorite routes which i reccomend to you would be Gdynia Główna to Warszawa Czentarla (pendolino) and Wrocław Główny to Warszawa Wschodnia. Great video btw
Hello Poland !! 🇵🇱 👋🇵🇱💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🚅💕💞
Check out my EIP video 😉
Where is Warszawa Czentarla?
Loved the video. Would be great to see even more train journeys in Poland. Maybe in less known parts? There is a fan route from Krosno, through the mountains to Medzilaborce in Slovakia, which I think is open only in summer.
I have some planned 💪🏻😎
In 1987 from Beijing to London we went through Poland. In 1994 from Warsaw to Krakow. Neither was anything like these that you experience now.
I really prefer your work with the voice over. Great work, thanks.
That's great to hear Andrew!! 😎
Voiceovers are SO much easier to watch. Thanks!
I'm glad you liked it Joel 😁
Love the voiceover!
Thank you Cathy 🙂
Great video. 👌
Finally, a train i see in my home country!
Really enjoyed it, food looked really good for a train
It certainly was Matthew! ✌🏻
Taking that train in 2 weeks! thanks for the review!
Hope you enjoy it!
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
I'll try my best 😁
Great video! I went to Poland for the first time at the end of February / beginning of March. Fantastic country, great food, friendly people (stereotypes are often, as always an exaggeration...!). I travelled in 2nd class between Łódź Widzew and Kalisz, then from Kalisz to Warszawa Centralna then back to Łódź Fabryczna from Warszawa Wschodnia in the Praga area of the Polish capital. On one of the services, I bought a coffee and the lady wheeling the WARS trolley (something that I've rarely seen in other European countries apart from a handful of German RB/RE services, although the people seemingly aren't employees of the rail company) knocked my glasses a bit when I was looking for coins and she was so apologetic, she must have said sorry 4 or 5 times! I'm considering travelling from Eastern France (where I live) to Poland and then the Baltic States by train via either Germany or Czechia so this route is very pertinent! The Deutschlandticket is very handy, I used it recently to travel to Bavaria and will probably buy it again. Also, in the Grand Est Region of France, a monthly 29€ summer pass will be available to all under 26 year olds for the months of July & August. Sadly, I just turned 26, but it's an interesting opportunity for young travellers coming to Lorraine, Alsace and / or Champagne-Ardenne.
Thanks for sharing ☺️
What were the stereotypes of Poles then ?
(My prejudice is more towards the east, more hospitable ordinary people get ...)
I visited Poland last year from Australia ! Use train going to Lublin Gdańsk Krakow absolutely amazing ! Wish we have that train system in Australia 😊
Pretty good isn't it!!
I traveled with pkp from Sopot to Berlin which was exactly like this journey, great food and 1st class seats ❤❤
Great 👍
I have been a subscriber to this channel for some time now and have enjoyed all that I have watched but reading the script always makes me feel a little left out but now with the voice over I really more a part of the journey and brings something more personal to the video 🤗
Thanks so much for the feedback John and I'm glad you're liking the voiceover videos more! ✌🏻
Yes voiceover works a treat. Just need a piece to camera at the beginning now but if not seriously good watch. Berlin hbf looks amazing.
Thanks John, I appreciate it ☺️
I actually did a similar trip in May last year, but from Berlin to Gdansk in the North. The Route is mostly the same until Poznan, diverting afterwards to the north. It was a good experience, though I got seated at an older EuroCity carriage, which had bays of four with a table in between. The only issue was that my front neighbor had long legs and pushed a bit, but it was only for an hour or so, and I slept most of that hour anyway!
Thanks for sharing 😊
Welcome to my country! I'm from Kraków, second largest city of the country, which hosts the 3rd European Games and the city known for Wawel castle, Sanctuary of Blessed Divine and Market Square with Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Basilica (commonly known as "Saint Mary's Church")and Cloth Hall (which now still serves as a store, but now it's large souvenir store here, with the entrance to Market Square Underground Museum), and Barbican with Saint Florian's Gate! It's nice to meet you! I want to notice, that Rzepin isn't border town during this trip. Słubice serves it during it's journey, because it borders with Frankfurt (Oder). The distance between these cities is 18 km. I also have to note, that some stations were incorrectly written on this map: Swiebodzin should be Świebodzin, Zbaszynek - Zbąszynek, Warsaw Zachodnia - Warszawa Zachodnia (Warsaw West) and Warsaw Centralna - Warszawa Centralna (Warsaw Central).
I absolutely love Poland and especially Kraków 💖
Also, the Oder river was criticised in the last year due to last year's environmental disaster, which the cause is still disputed. German officials said, that it was caused by mercury poisoning. However, polish officials said, that it wasn't caused by mercury poisoning, but the blooming of golden algae, especially prymnesium parvum. More at: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Oder_environmental_disaster.
Skierniewice Railway Museum? Look Lokomotywownia Skierniewice PSMK. They have open days, so You can visit this haritage place.
Thank you! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Love a proper dining car... 😊
🤤🤤🤤
Really enjoyable and interesting video. The voiceover works well. This is a journey I was only thinking about the other day. A shame that the first class is only in a compartment. As a solo traveller I'd much prefer an open coach. That said the prices are reasonable and second class looks good so I'd even be tempted to book two seats to myself!!
Completely agree, second class is MORE than good enough 😃
I travelled extensively on PKP in the 1970s and 1980s. What a contrast with today. I once even paid extra to stand in the first class corridor.
Stand but not sit? Lol
Nice voice over man!
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Nice informative video, within next two months i will be there in berlin for two years for study. Keeo going non stop euro trip
Enjoy 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
The steam locomotive in 16:03 is Ty23-273. Built in 1928 in WSABP Warsaw, decomissioned in 1980, currently being restored in museum in Skierniewice.
Another great video. Those second class seats look better than first class seats in a lot of modern stock in the UK, IETs come to mind
Oh they are, by miles!!!
Agree with all the other positive comments re the voiceover. Great video!
Thanks Ian!!
I took the same eurocity-train in 1994, between berlin and poznan. things where much different back then.....
Please continue with the voiceover. It is so much better this way.
I will be ✌🏻
I took it some time ago too, good train, going to be taking it again and changing to european sleeper
Sounds great 👍🏻
A/C !? I checked the description now ! September '21 ! I see !! Lol.💜
Sorry, but my Delorean had some technical problems.
So, here I am, watching the video like everyone
Oh no Pedro! 😅
great TR loved it! I wish I can make Berlin trip by train from Warsaw this summer! Now I know it's worth it thanks! Cheers!!
It really is!
Great video! I live in the UK, but have friends in Warsaw who i have not seen in years, and they keep asking when I will be back there. I do get fed up with flying, and so I am planning on going by train! I know that the journey is longer than flying, but I love being able to watch the scenery and seeing all the different places I pass through!
You should! It sounds like a great adventure ☺️
Great video. Enjoyed it a lot. A suggestion for video: Krakow to Berlin (or the other way around) via Katowice (my home city), Opole and Wroclaw ;)
Noce toilet 🚻!! And it looked very clean !! Very very important ,well to me !! Lol. And it looked like a good size ,not too small !( the space )👍👍
i love the voiceover! it's also good i think that you leave in the original sound and don't play some music instead
That was exactly what I wanted to achieve, thank you 🙏🏻
took it last week. on the way back i was alone in the compartment, amazing.
The WARS dining car was excellent on the way to Warsaw. the service was good, Kotlet Szabowy was very delicious. On the way back it was worse though
Great to hear!
Muito lindo trem gostei show
Great travel. I hope you will try the Warsaw-Mockava-Vilnius route. It's quite impressive, between Lithuania and Poland
It was running last time I was out that way, due to COVID! Next time 🙂
Your report accurately reflects my experience in May when I covered the same route. Brilliant train, excellent staff and an excellent dining car. How about covering the PKP service from Warsaw to Budapest in one of your future reports? Many thanks for an ingesting video.
Great to hear!
I've done this route twice and never stepped inside the restaurant car! Would be great to see a review of the Zurich - Zagreb route next time. Similar style of coaches.
It's on my to do list!!
super film
Nice! Only Polish train I’ve done is the overnight Budapest-Krakow.
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
The voiceover is great!
I'm pretty sure there's a big spot without seats in one carriage, reserved for wheelchairs, but where one can also park their bicycle.
The sun blinds are good because it can get pretty warm in summer in Poland!
Glad you enjoyed my country and our railways of Poland!
I'm hoping one day it could be even better with a high speed rail line between Warsaw and Berlin. Since TGV's will be going from Paris to Berlin soon, it would be interesting to see it they could make them go a little further to Warsaw maybe...? hihi, who knows, we'll see.
Thanks so much 🙏🏻
I took that train few years ago. It was about 10 euros cheaper to buy on Polish rail ticket vendor than on German one. I moved some heavy luggage with me.
Fun fact: The locomotive and coaches are made entirely in Poland! ;D
Interesting 😄
Poznań Główny is actually the largest station in Poland as far as the platforms go, and one of the busiest in terms of passanger numbers.
Unfortunately, it is one of the most confusing with the spreading layout and confusing platform numbering, which was changed but still doesn't seem like it is intuitive
It is quite confusing yes 😅
after the reconstruction of the Warszawa Zachodnia station is completed, the works will be continued and the entire cross-city line to the Warszawa Wschodnia station (Warsaw East) will be modernized
Excellent!!!
@NonstopEurotrip yes, but due to it, most of the trains are interrupted, long-distance are just diverted on schedule to another station (Warsaw Gdańska), but local trains are interrupted most, they can't go through the main bridge connecting west and east Warsaw, so they are diverted, delayed or canceled. Also WKD trains, which are different local train system, are going to city center by only 1 track, making you wait for train 3 times longer, and often delayed even more than 40 mins.
I took this train in the winter of 2010 when it was branded as the Berlin-Warszawa Express. After crossing into Poland we saw that someone had built an enormous snow penis in a field. Seeing it from the train was hilarious.
Oh dear 😂
I've built one over 4 meters high in the field next to tracks of Koło - Konin line. I hope ppl had a good laugh. 😂
What a total surprise to hear instead of read... Was great though as I was able to focus on watching instead of reading. Reading is always a slow and distracting affair.. but you know if I wanna watch your video's I had to do it.. I hope you continue with voice over... AS always great and educational and just one more video that makes me want to get out there and travel...
Glad you liked it Byron, new voiceover video out very soon 😉
Wow 66s are everywhere.
Aren't they just 😅
Good! 🙂👍
Excellent; so informative and Polish pronounciation really good. PKP trains travelled include: Warsaw to Krakow; Bydgoscsz to Krakow; Łódź to Warsaw. Gdansk to Laskowice Pomorskie
I don't think Superalbs would agree, reference my polish pronunciation 🤣
The Polish pronounciation is not good.
@@SuperalbsTravels You need to be more generous maybe/może
Really enjoyed the voiceover presentation but do what suits you best. The more you do the easier it will get though.
I think I'm going to stick with it for now Kevin!
Sue to demand sometimes you end up with little older second class cars, although they are just declassed first class ones. So you may end up with broken sest tables or not as pleasant toilets (but still acceptable and comfortable). Worst thing that could happen is related to the fact, that PKP does not have enough multi-system engines, so you may wait at the border for engine replacement in case of delays. However, these are typically minuscule and so not affect overall experience. International trains have stronger beverages, than national service. We may seen some standarisation in train control systems, so everything may change in following decade. But aside of engineering this is more like political task. And that can be more challenging.
Honestly I've never had a super bad experience in my 25 or so PKPIC trips!
You should show smaller Trains like the RB,s that are starting in Frankfurt (O) and going 3 directions.
Yes,lodz to Warsaw
dobre
Usually, the bike racks in Polish trains are available on the local/regional trains/carts. But this is usually relying on what operator you choose.
Thanks for the information ℹ️☺️
When I visited Berlin and Hamburg last summer, I took the southern sibling of this service, EC Wawel, as well as NightJet 457 that runs from Berlin to Bohumín, Vienna, Graz and Budapest. Super comfortable and enjoyable. Just over 4 hours travel time between Berlin and Wrocław.
Thanks for sharing! ✌🏻
„Wawel” istniał już w dawnych czasach Deutsche Reisbahn. Wyłonił się z dawnego D 399 i D 398. Pociąg ten obsługiwał trasę: Berlin-Lichtenberg; Frankfurt nad Odrą; Kunowice; Rzepina; Zielona Góra; Nowa Sól; Głogów; Brzegu Dolnego; Wrocław Główny ; Brżeg; Opolu Główny; Katowicach Główny; do Dworca Głównego w Krakowie „Wawel” od zawsze zapewnia PKP.
A review of the next grand opening of the 1st high speed train in Indonesia very soon would be perfect please :) !!!
It's on my to-do list 😊
Personally, apart from traveling by rail in Poland, I traveled a lot in the Czech Republic a little bit by regional railways in Germany and a few years ago I once traveled by train from the Ukrainian city of Tarnopol to Lviv, it was an interesting experience, as far as I know, Ukrainian railways can provide changes for the travel standard
Wonderful beautiful Ukraine 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
@@NonstopEurotrip hahaha... If you like dirty...
The steam loco is part of the museum collection in Skierniewice, as far as I can tell.
Your 130 km/h average is due to a rather outdated regulation that states that non-ETCS trains must have a second driver to operate above 130 km/h. Although these trains are timed for 160 km/h and PKPIC plans for the two-driver operation, they are currently understaffed to the point of being unable to provide a second driver, and hence the train is limited to 130 km/h. A regulation change process has started last year, but seems to have stalled.
