Today we are taking a trip on the domestically manufactured Pesa Dart intercity EMU operated by PKP polish railways. These trains were build back in 2015 on Pesa's factory in Bydgoszcz

@@blase777 Not exactly. According to official statistics, the average salary in Germany is about 4100 EUR and in Poland 1650 EUR which is 2.5 times more.
It only shows how economically attractive and at the same time modern contemporary Poland is !
What you're not counting is that they only make an average hourly wage of 20-25 zloty, so 14 Euro isn't so cheap for them.

I didint think that a video with 200 views will be that good! About the delay, more than 2000 km of tracks in Poland are getting renovated as u can see 4ex in 9:53. I think that in 5+ years polish trains will be one of the best in europe. Great vid, +1 sub 4 u

@@toddmobby1595 Do not compare DB to PKP. Nowdays german rail services are like in a third world country. Trains are almost always delayed, some do not even enter the station, it's a fucking nightmare. In that regard polish railways are already better than german ones and they are still improwing, while german railways are on the downhill spiral.
Polish Rails were very punctual before war, completely non-punctual in comunist times and now geting bettter and better with all qualities.
They will soon surpass before the war's punctuality. I strongly believe in it!

The WiFi does actually work and is fine. After connecting an website should appear asking if you want to log in or use as a guest which doesn't happen on some devices. As a guest you need to watch a short ad to use the wifi for limited time.

It's one of symbols of today's Poland.
In my opinion, the delays are related to the division into different companies serving the connections, where the delay of a train from one company causes confusion in the other company, which has to adjust connections to new hours and overlapping train connections. Too much is sometimes worse.
I disagree, because there is one train controller who well controlls all the trains, it has more to do with how much of rail capacity is being used. There are countries with different companies and barely any delayes, and A LOT of countries with a single operator, but with a lot more delays than poland.
Around 84% of trains in poland are on time, that is not a bad percentage by any means. In germany 66% of trains are on time. Tough in Austria 97% of trains are on time.
@@melaniedrogr951 Oh Melanie, trains ran punctually in more than 90% but they started making changes to the timetables and started messing up in connection planning and and complications and delays started to grow. Something disturbed the new authorities, and as we know, sometimes the new is the enemy of the good :) But the main causes of delays were failures of train traffic control devices and track repairs

Its is not warsaw-wroclaw train normally go and its not shortest track route, normally you go thru lodz kalisz ostrow wlkp., but the way tracks are it requires direction change mid route in ostrow, thats why faster trains dont go that route to save up time

Hi. If arrived from WAW airport, what i have to take to get to Warsaw Centralna? Do I need to take a taxi from the airport to get there? Thanks!
The best way is to take bus 175 or train RL (due to renovation SKM trains doesn't go to Central, only RL does), bus rides ca.30 mins but it departs more often, and train rides ca. 20 mins, but it departs only once an hour. There is the same ticket for bus and train (75 min. ztm ticket) which costs 4,40pln ~1€ (3,30pln 20 min ticket may be to short). I hope I've helped you
A different train, but I recently travelled from Bialystok to Poznan and back, and the Wi-Fi was absolutely useless. I can't complain about the price, and 1st class was comfortable enough, though too hot at times. It had no buffet car, just a trolley that came through once. For a six-hour (seven, on return because of a delay) journey I found this unacceptable.

Czytałem jakiś czas temu, że powodem dlaczego Wi-Fi jest takie kiepskie, ponieważ wzdłuż torów w niektórych obszarach nie ma masztów przesyłowych. Słyszałem pare miesięcy temu, że w pociągach mają być zainstalowane wzmacniacze sieci żeby temu zaradzić.
I've been traveling this paricular route for 23 years now, between 2 to 8 times each year. And i could count on all my 10 fingers the cases trains arrived on time. :D
And from my experience track renovations have very little to do with it; the trains were late before they started, and nothing have changed... Unfortunatelly :(
That sounds like pkp could use some better timetabling 😅
PKP knows when you and other malcontents are travelling and adjusts its arrival accordingly so you and malcontents are satisfied.

illusion. Believe me, because I live here. Poland got better till about 2017. Since that time it started to get worse. Last 2 years is total disaster, especially level of safety (a lot of ukrainian criminalist arrived together with refugees, a lot of immigrants from Bangladesh, Georgia, Pakistan, etc) and because of huge inflation (almost the highest in Europe). Now almost 1/3 native young people decide to migrate from Poland to look for better conditions to live.

In my experience delays are rather rare, but this might depend on the route. "Kibel" is something you may have at your home, it's not a train designation, so don't tell the international audience here silly stories.

@@Simon-Andersen There are many seats on the first floor in the main hall, above the ticket offices. You probably haven't seen this area. If you deviate from the escalator, you'll also find plenty of benches on the platform. This is quite well thought out because it does not block the traffic by escalators. Warszawa Centralna is quite a busy station. Great video! 👋

37 PLN for like 8-10 pierogi and some cheap fizzy drink, I'd say it's absurd. 👎 Its real value doesn't exceed even half of that price.
In refrence to other dining cars around europe, that is a good deal. Sure compared to the rest of Poland probably not but thats true for the other european dining cars.
@@Simon-Andersen I meant the price is absurd when you pay in zlotys. But if you're a tourist who earns like 2000-3000 euros/month, I guess for you it's like paying nothing. Either way, the real value of the meal you ordered in Wars was 3,50-4 euro, at most. That's the way PKP Intercity rips tourists off because they pay in euros and don't realize how they are being screwed.
