  • This video follows the demolition of the last tower blocks of Prospecthill Circus on the southside of Glasgow, Scotland.
    This has been my longest project so far as I filmed the area at different stages over 5 years to watch the towers being demolished and the brand new neighbourhood being built.
    I hope you enjoy this video and remember to give it a like, check out my other videos and subscribe for more.
    Dave.

      Some of the smells from some of the landings in the high rise buildings were horrific.
      To this day I have never smelt anything like it again.

      Polo was my wifes car and she fancied something a bit newer, that was all. Polo was sold with 12 months MOT and is now somebody's first car.

    • @AstonishingGlasgow
      @AstonishingGlasgow  Před 3 lety +1

      I dont know to be honest. They did blow up the other two towers on the site. It may have been cheaper this way though these towers were closer to the maid Glasgow to London railway line so this may have played a part.

      Possibly because it would have presented too great a hazard to surrounding buildings. They will have conducted all sorts of risk assessments and cost/risk/benefit assessments and this will have been seen as the best option.
