Chicken Cheese Dinner Rolls
250g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
1 tsp instant dry yeast +1 tbsp sugar
125ml (1/2 cup) warm milk
1 large egg, whisked. (take 1 tbsp for glazing)
3 tbsp (42g) unsalted butter/margarine +1 tsp salt
The filling: 2 tbsp oil, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 1 stalk green onion, 1 cup shredded cooked chicken, 1 tsp plain flour, 1 cup milk, seasoning (salt, pepper, chili flakes, parsley, turmeric, to taste).
1 cup or more of shredded cheese.
Indonesian:
Roti keju ayam
Tepung serba guna 250 g (2 gelas)
1 sdt ragi kering + 1 sdm gula pasir
Susu hangat 125ml (1/2 gelas)
1 butir telur besar, dikocok. (ambil 1 sdm untuk olesan)
3 sdm mentega tawar, cairkan.
1 sdt garam
Isi: 2 sdm minyak, 1 bawang, 1 wortel, 1 tangkai bawang hijau, 1 cangkir ayam suwir, 1 sdt tepung terigu, 1 gelas susu, bumbu (garam, merica, serpih cabai, peterseli, kunyit, secukupnya).
1 cangkir atau lebih keju parut.
German:
Hühnchen-Käse-Brot
250 g (2 Tassen) Weizenmehl
1 TL Trockenhefe + 1 EL Zucker
125 ml (1/2 Tasse) warme Milch
1 großes Ei, geschlagen. (nehmen Sie 1 EL für die Verglasung)
3 EL ungesalzene Butter / Margarine
1 TL Salz
Die Füllung: 2 EL Öl, 1 Zwiebel, 1 Karotte, 1 grüne Stielzwiebel, 1 Tasse gekochtes Hühnchen, 1 TL Mehl, 1 Tasse Milch, Gewürze (Salz, Pfeffer, Chiliflocken, Petersilie, Kurkuma, nach Geschmack). 1 Tasse oder mehr geriebenen Käse.

Hi Ninik, I couldn't eat white bread & dairies. I love to try your recipes but the oven of my landlady is out of order. No interest to buy a new one. Am just boarding. Ninik, I told a Chef my admiration about you. Your such a gifted baker. The chef told me that there are only few naturally bakers. They have a unique pulse when it comes to baking breads. Ninik, to me, seems like you've got wings on your hands! A reader of yours is wondering your skill.

Why less baking time at lower temperature and longer baking time at higher temperature? Shouldn't it be the other way (longer time, lower temperature; shorter time, higher temperature)?

I made these today for the first time, and they came out so perfect and tasty! My dough barely rose though, and stayed super soft and mostly sticky. I just used more plain flour to make it easier to roll it out. When I left the rolls for a final rise, they still didn't really rise at all. I stuck 'em in the oven anyway and thankfully, they turned out lovely. I left out spring onion though, and added chopped spinach and peas instead. Everybody enjoyed them and gobbled 'em up!

@@shl7073 you're absolutely right. I'm a Sugarholic who LOVES to eat something sweet each day! However, I eat everything in moderation. Only one scoop of ice cream or a small slice of cake or just 2 cookies etc...I also eat meat, bread and I have 2 veggie gardens and eat plenty of vegetables. A moderate and balanced diet is key but most importantly-I run 2 miles 5 days a week and workout at Planet Fitness. Exercise is very important.

Made this last night & came out wonderfully 😃. The bread was so soft & fluffy. Though I cook quite often, this was my first ever baking experiment & it was a huge success! Got a lot of compliments,, All thanks to you !😍🙏. I added minced garlic and substituted the carrots with cabbage for the filling. Also made the filling a little more spicy to fit our Indian taste 😊 & added little oregano to the dough too. Thanks again 🙏

OMG!!!! It's Ramadaan and i was looking for an easy yet tasty dinner roll with which you can have a salad. I cane across this recipe.. IMMEDIATELY made it. This dough!!! Hello there, I tried your recipe today. It came out delicious. I was a little skeptical to go ahead and make this as I didn't have all-purpose flour, what I had was bread flour. It was a bit sticky and couldn't reach your consistency as in the recipe. added a little flour and then was ok. The outcome was so good than I expected. Thanks a lot.
