I cried while reading about this in the book😭 that remus’s scars are gone and finally he looks at peace 😭😭
His body was scarred but his soul was pure
It reminds me of Stephen King's The Stand with the character named Nick Andros he was born without the ability to speak. The most heartbreaking thing was when he died but when he came back from heaven not only did God change his heart he also gave him the ability that he wished he could have had on Earth he was finally able to speak and the only person he could ever speak to were the only friends he had but as soon as he returned to heaven his only best friend doesn't even remember what his friend looks like but he always remembered that he was a dear friend to him. It's like the old saying Raymond Saint Jacquees used to say the world may have taken my eyes but the Lord has given me a great vision. Something like that.
"You stay with me"
"Until the end"

I think the Resurrection Stone is just cruel. Being able to see loved ones long dead, but never being able to feel them. Never able to touch them
It’s been 6 years. Y’all can stop replying with the same thing over and over.
KucklePuff yep that's why the creator of the stone killed himself because unlike harry, he was unable to let go of the stone.
The Elder Wand one must learn to master control of self and control of power. The Cloak of Invisibility gives the user protection to self and to others. The Resurrection Stone the user must learn to accept death, not fear death, and learn to move on from death. This is why Harry is the true master of death, as explained by Dumbledore at King's Cross. Harry did the very thing most would not have been able to do. He fixed his wand with the Elder Wand and buried it where it was last found forcing it to lose its powers upon Harry's natural death. And he dropped the stone in the Forbidden Forest where it would remain for eternity. He keeps the cloak as it is a family heirloom and is his as passed down.
Still get to talk to them, though. That's more than you can do without it.
In the books harry could touch them he hugged Lilly 😭
Well in the book, they can be touched. THey are not as real as living people, but definitely more solid than a ghost.

Hearing Harry ask “Does it hurt?” Just really gets to me. Even in the Wizarding world, no one that age should ever ask that question.

Right?
Humanity kills billions of chicken ,pigs,Buffalos, cows and different species of fishes every year in inhumane ways. In that context aren't we hypocrites
Like Hermione said': even in the wizarding world .its bad to hear voices..
One part that never really hit as hard in the books because it came out of nowhere, but seems so obvious to ask. I think it's because Harry in the movie clarifies... Where in the books, he just asks "Is it going to hurt?" Without I think having to treat the audience as idiots, just in case.
The way he just asks in the books... It really just cuts. It sells how terrified Harry is.
what i find most sad about this scene isn't what everyone seems to see. it's that Harry turns to Sirius and asks about death inadvertently turning away from his own dad. it's so heart breaking that this young man has never even known his real parents to the extent that he must ask Sirius because in comparison his own mum and dad are complete strangers
Charnelle Kelly Jade Bolton I had a different take on this. I felt that, for Harry, asking Lily and James if it hurt to die was a little obsolete. He knew they died to save him, that it was Avada Kedavra (which was comparatively quick and painless) and he knew they were buried and mourned. Whereas he never got to see Sirius’ body, and he never got to have that kind of closure with Sirius. It would make sense then that out of all of the questions he would ask Sirius, it’d be “Does it hurt, dying?” Because he wanted to know that Sirius died peacefully.
Charnelle Kelly Jade Bolton I agree. But, he has a good reason! Sirius is the only family he's ever known
Charnelle Kelly Jade Bolton or could it be that maybe Harry just saw the real side of his father? A bully. He didn’t respect him as much as before as now he knows the truth. That’s why he didn’t talk to him.
Jarret Rausch no, not really. james changed and he just asked sirius because he knows sirius well, he never really KNEW his mum and dad

This scene really shows what it’s like to lose someone. You can still see them in your mind, remember their voices in your head, but you will never be able to touch them again. The texture of their skin, the lines in their palm, the warmth of their hand is gone forever.
Didn’t think of it like that.

I feel that everyday I’m awake. I can see my dead loved ones in my sleep. I believe it’s a gift from God the Father, but it’s also a reminder of the love they still have for me even though I can’t see them.
It’s a blessing and a curse to have to be honest. Knowing that I can see them when my other loved ones can’t.The burden of seeing them after their gone is just like the resurrection stone in Harry Potter. To see them yet to not be able to touch and feel their love hurts. It’ll hurt me until the day I pass on. But just knowing that I’m never alone makes me feel comfort.
Oh! Or the warmth of their cheek when you kiss them. I miss that most about my great grandma who died when I was 19. Her house was on the same property as mine growing up so I was with her every day. From a little girl on up, I was there with her. I miss her so much. One of the closest family members I've ever had and as time goes on she seems like such a distant memory now. To see her again like this would be torture. Not to be able to even hold her hand.

And if you came from Harry's point of view he bonded with two people more than anyon (Remus and Sirius) and the reason is because they are his father’s friends , Harry feels connected to them because he feels that he does not intrude on their lives and does not consider himself a burden to them
this feeling was with Harry because of Petunia and her family
At first, he admired Remus's style and was happy when he knew that he was his father's friend, but Remus was the one who put barriers between them and did not want the role of the father figure , For this reason, Harry became more attached to Sirius, because the latter proved to him that he was completely devoted to him, to the point that he escaped from Azkaban when he knew that Harry was in danger

That one small little moment Harry had with his dad is priceless. He always had his mother’s protection and had heard stories about her. Sirius and Remus were a part of his life after he met them up until their death. Harry saw his father’s past at school with how he bullied Severus and damaged his view of him. That one little moment right here makes me think he made peace with his dad. He looks to James when he asks “You’ll stay with me?” “Until the end.” He wanted his dad by his side in what he thought was his last moments. Just my take on it. Wished they touched more on Harry and his father.
Ok, seriously. Maybe it damaged your view of James, but it did not damage his view of James. Because Snape was not as innocent as people seem to believe. Harry already talked to Remus and Sirius about it, and understood it. James/Sirius was actually alot like Fred and George, they were both pranksters. Fred and George tested their pranks on humans yet no one hates them. Why is James Hexing people for fun now eeryone has to hate him.?
@@lauraschoenborn3544 I don’t hate James and my view of him wasn’t damaged. Throughout the course of the franchise, Harry seemed to accept Snape’s view and opinion of his father after hearing the truth instead of rushing to defend him. This comment was just my take on Harry and his father’s dynamic and I made it over a year ago, so I don’t even know why you bothered to respond to it, but ok whatever.
@@Blackflame24
The image of James did not shake in Harry's eyes, and what happened in his fifth year was due to the psychological pressures he was suffering from, so he could not comprehend that memory and went to Remus and Sirius, and the reason was because Harry had been trying to imitate James for four years,
He heard that he looked like his father, so he began to take him as a role model and imitate him in everything he was his hero, he matured after that memory and realized that people are not black and white, Snape was a human and had feelings and James was a teenager with flaws and not the saint father that Harry painted as a child, But Harry surely quickly regained his love for his father, as in his sixth year he excitedly wondered if James was the Half-Blood
Prince
Harry could not hate James, he was his father and he died defending him and his mother and he was a major reason for Harry's growth and there is a simple example in the fourth book, in that graveyard, when Voldemort and the death eaters surrounded Harry
it was a harsh situation
At that moment, Harry remembered James so that he could have some courage to get up and face Voldemort
*When it comes to Harry's bravery , much of the credit goes to James*
@@lauraschoenborn3544 personally I think Harry's perception of his dad was changed. But not like that stated in this original comment. He realised his dad was no moral Saint as he was lead or perhaps convinced himself to believe. But I know if I was in that situation I'd look to what James had done after his school life and seen that he had done more, far more than just change for the better. And Harry would have seen that too.

Yeah, in the book Harry said Sirius and Remus looked younger.
The soul is never define by physical it’s eternal
The reason Snape isn't here (and I'm a huge Snape fan) is because Harry's walking to his death here, and uses the stone to just try and get what support he can from his loved ones so he can get the strength to go through with this. As much as I like Snape, it doesn't make any sense for him to show up. He never shared any kind of connection with him that would help him be as support for Harry now. Similarly with Dumbledore... in the 7th book Harry became gradually more and more disillusioned with him all leading up to now, when he knows Dumbledore has lied to him all his life about almost everything. Seeing Dumbledore again here would just result in Harry having a ton of uncomfortable questions for him that would completely ruin the scene.

Then why didn't Harry ask these "awkward questions" when he was hit down by Voldemort. Harry understood that Dumbledore just did his best

Then, they played football with the last remnant of Voldemort's soul. :P
Regardless of Snape being a good or bad guy (I agree he's mostly "bad" but he's way too multi-dimensional to label him in a way or another) it's simply the fact that Harry spent his time hating Snape to the guts right before the big reveal that Snape always worked to protect him. That's not enough to suddenly build a sentimental connection after years of both misplaced hate and justified dislike (Snape was an ass towards Harry most of the time). On the other hand, Snape protected Harry as a form of redemption in regards of the person he loved (Lily) as she sacrificed herself to protect her son. Snape never loved or even liked Harry himself.

i absolutely love that remus was one of harry’s loved ones and appeared, it shows how powerful their relationship was, and how much harry respected and loved remus, cause let’s face it, without remus, harry and sirius would be dead
In all Siriusness Sirius is dead
Okay I know everyone probably says this, but the whole entire Snape-‘redemption’ scene brings me to tears, but then Lily saying “Always” literally gives me chills. Like that’s what good directing/storytelling looks like.
You think she saw the memory too?
It’s sad how Harry runs to hold his mother’s hand but his hand just falls through
The thing is, Lily and James were 21 when they died. My age. They shouldn’t look like adults in their 40s. No, they should be 21 year old kids. And that’s what makes this scene even more heart breaking. Harry and his parents look about the same age.
idk about you man but most people change quite a bit between 17 and 21
Most powerful lines:
Harry: why are you here?
Lilly: we never left...
The final 30 minutes of the film had me crying a good 6 times. So many emotional moments.
Id have loved to see Snape one last time here. Even see a sad but heartfelt moment between him and Lilly. Lastly, I'd have loved a scene of James thanking him for protecting his son and him finally seeing James as a friend.
It would be cool but Snape isn’t really Harry’s loved one… and even though I get the idea Snape may have protected harry because he had to become dumbledore told him to but considering Snape treated Harry like shit and would bully him and enjoy it throughout Harry’s school year I don’t think it would’ve been that great of an interaction tbh… because unlike how the movies made it seem Snape didn’t care for Harry and genuinely did hate him
@@clover2739 he genuinely regretted his actions he even genuinely cried when he told Harry to take his memories. That wasn't just a means to share his memories he was genuinely sad that he acted the way he did towards the son of the woman he loved
@@CesarACastillo he was crying because he was in pain, and because his eyes looked like Lilly not because he really cared about Harry himself and because he had to cry so Harry could take them so he could see how to defeat Voldemort. Even if snape did regret it, it didn’t change how he treated him and it probably would’ve have had the sweet james and snape scene you’d expect, even with Lilly if I saw an adult treat my child how snape did I’d be furious
@@clover2739 you do realize that you're diminishing the value of his sacrifice by making Snape bitter at Harry even in the end as well as Harry's forgiveness of his behavior for the last 7 years he knew him. If he didn't forgive Snape he wouldn't have named one of his sons after him to keep his memory alive.
@@CesarACastillo I’m just telling the truth tho? That’s what happened? That’s not me diminish him… he’s a great character because he’s complex and morally grey but he isn’t a good person either. There’s a reason Snape isn’t here with his loved ones. Even if Harry did forgive him it doesn’t make it okay. He named his kid after Snape which is cool since he was really brave but a lot of the fandom also hates dumbledore and thinks he’s an manipulative asshole and he also called his kid after albus even though he wasn’t here either…
Also it’s kind of funny because it’s a whole thing where the fandom agrees that album Severus was such an awful name that it’s almost became a joke 😭
When Harry asked Sirius “does it hurt dying” such a powerful line that rocked me to my core. I can’t explain but Jesus that very line effected me in a good way.
What hurts even more is that in another life, these five would’ve been the happiest family you’d ever met
The music in the background is so beautiful. The whole Scene is beautiful 😭❤️
Thank god atleast one comment appreciating the music of this scene which is both beautiful and sad at the same time
I wish snape, fred and everyone who died in the battle of hogwarts giving up their lives for Harry would be here. It would be so nice to see them, and all telling Harry last words
Snape among Harry loved ones?
2:39 I liked James' phrase way more than Snape's or Lily's "Always"
Lily said always ! Imagine James just being like " hey ! I died for you and now you're using Snape's catchphrase ! "
Let's not exagerrate.
@@klaudiagrob no exaggerate why not lol
@@klaudiagrob It's true though, James did die for her and Harry. In the books he told Lily to take Harry and run. In his panic James left his wand in another room and didn't have time to get it but he didn't care, he tried to take Voldemort on without a wand to try and by Lily time to get out with Harry. I really like James, he would do anything for those he cared about and did everything any good father would do and I hate that he didn't get the chance to raise his son and even possibly have more children. He would of been a great Dad and he and Lily would of had a very happy life together. It's all so depressing thinking about what could of been
@@alexandrasmith4226 i disagree. He may have raised harry up the way his parents raised him...to be an asshole.
@@denizkenger52 I respect your opinion but I feel like James would of learned from that and though James was an asshole to Snape he was very much like by everyone else in Hogwarts apart from Slytherins. Him and Sirius were highly popular. I in no way agree with how James treated Snape but James would raise his son to be a good person, ate we forgetting that James expected Remus unconditional despite him being a werewolf, something that the majority of wizards would never even consider? James, like every Harry Potter character, had flaws but he learned from his mistakes. Plus Lily would never let that happen.
This scene is so intense. Also Lily saying "always" at the end gives me chills.
“You’ve been so brave sweetheart.”
“Why are you here?”
God dammit, just enjoy it whilst they’re there Harry. 😂
Sirius Black: *points to Harry’s heart* “We are here you see.”
Gosh, that hits so hard! 😢😭
"After all this time..." Albus Dumbledore
"Stay close to me..." Harry
"... Always" Lily & Severus
This title is hilarious.
Oh god don't. Haha.
Stannis The Mannis
I'm hoping it's the newest book's title.
+Dr. Fun it's the cursed child

"after all these times?"
"very much"
Who the hell is the actress for Lily, goodness she showed every nuance of motherly love with those eyes in just two minutes of screen time
Dumbledore: Do you still love Lily?
Snape: always
Harry: stay close to me
Lily: always
Harry: you'll stay with me
James Remus Lily and Sirius: until the end
3 seconds later...................
James: les go to mcdonalds
Remus: sure
Lily: awwww yeah
Sirius: lol cya harry
Harry: fffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
LMFAOOO then I hear sirius from afar saying hurry up and die so you can come.
Lol. Even though they aren't there
Fred: I call shotgun!
Cedric: We are rooting for you Harry!
Kevin Pvp they have mcdonalds in the afterlife?
FUCK YES
Holy fuck this had me laughing my ass off😂😂 that’s horrible but hilarious😂😂
Oof-
Who’s cutting onions?!
Dunbledoor:after all this time
Severes:always
Harry: stay close to me
Lilly:always
“And Remus...your son...” that gets me everytime
If I see one more comment about how Snape was a good guy all along I swear
SNAPE WAS A GOOD GUY ALL ALONG.
(giggity)
you swear what? kid?
Daniyal Shah kid? Bitch tf
Bella Byrne He was a double agent so he is technically speaking a good guy
Bella Byrne Your profile photo looks like a kid.
3:08 here comes the waterworks
When liliy potter says "always"
It is same as profesor snape 's famous line always
This bit really made me upset to the point it was really hard to hold in my tears. It was also the part when his mother was saying “momma loves you daddy loves you” that really made me cry (quietly).
Lily: Always
Snape: Always
OMG 😲
It makes me happy and sad that he got to see Sirius especially after what happened in the death room. How he was looking for him. Waiting. He finally got that closure.
I lost my mother to suicide and my ex boyfriend to covid within 3 months. This scene really breaks me now.
I'm so sorry. Stay strong!
I'm so sorry to hear all that...
I'm so sorry for you stay strong everything will be fine
everything will be ok
"Quicker then falling asleep." "We're here you see." Those lines...🖤🥺 :,)
When Lily says 'Always' and Snape says it, it links them together, one of the best scenes
This is such a powerful and heartfelt scene. It shows how we never forget about the people we lost who loved us, and how they’re always with us, in our hearts ♥️, that not even death can stop them from being with us. This scene really touched me deeply, I remember thinking about my old girlfriend Carissa when I saw this scene. It flooded my mind with memories I had with Carissa, and it made me cry 😢, wondering what happened to her, wondering if she was dead or alive, and I was thinking I probably wouldn’t see her again. But this reminded me that she was still with me, in my memory and my heart ❤️, and I remember that she would still love me always, and I still see her in my dreams and my memories and whenever I think about her. This is a symbol of love and memories and the people we lost who we loved and will never forget. That is the most powerful thing that a person could ever have. Never forget the people you love
I don't remember the books but I think it's really odd how Harry nearly ignores his father. Of course he goes immediately to his mother because that's how it is. Boys are drawn to their mother while girls are drawn to their father. But the fact that he barely acknowledges his dad breaks my heart and definitely doesn't feel right.
In the book he was talking to all of them, he did not speak to them individually, in addition to that James has a special place in Harry's heart, he was his role model and always tried to imitate him and wondered if his father would support his actions
I’m still mad that James and lily weren’t 21 , like they were supposed to be
I still remember the sniffling and blowing noses in the theater from watching this....
I wish I saw it in the theatre :/
