Pectoralis major is not the prime mover for parallel bar dips. In the exercise parallel bar dips the plane of action is SAGITTAL, Triceps brachii and anterior deltoid are the main working muscles.
All 3 muscles are activated to the same degree on bar dips, according to McKenzie et al 2022. However, the study found that on bench dips you are correct.
