I'm so looking forward to this game. It's interesting that they are delving into Shadow's past again. After all, Shadow is the character with the most fleshed-out backstory compared to other Sonic characters. That being said though, getting to play as Shadow always makes me happy.
For all the bosses, I'm betting Biolizard, Egg Emperor, & Mephiles. As for rivals, Doom's Eye, Sonic, & Silver maybe? And the final boss Black Doom and maybe even Devil Doom as well.
Here are my choices it's one per game like in the main game.
SA2 - Final Chase (Confirmed)
Heroes - Rail Canyon
Shadow - Westopolis (Confirmed)
06 - Dusty Desert
Forces - Mystic Jungle
Rival: Either Mephiles and/or Infinite
Bosses: Biolizard and Black Doom
I remember being 11 and finishing SA2, and how emotional the ending was thinking Shadow was gone - and iirc he was supposed to be, but he was so popular Sega brought him back in Heroes, which was imo the start of poor Sonic story writing compared to SA1/SA2. The fans are definitely owed Shadow's missing story arc pieces

I think its because the final boss of SA2 is the Biolizard merged with the station becoming the Final Hazard so it causes it to get mixed up in people's heads

forces surley cant be included as the story runs parralel to generations so forces hasnt happened yet.
