I'm so happy I got to witness this. I was around 13 - 15 years old at the time. I had moved to Sacramento from LA and had a friendly rivalry with other basketball fans at my Junior High.
I don't think I ever screamed as loud and happily as I did watching Horry make that shot. It was gigantic. The dagger in that rivalry.

Bullshit. Keep telling yourself that. U can’t rig blowing a 24 pt lead, not grabbing a rebound, shooting 52% from the FT line in game 7, & Peja’s airball. Queens also got away w/ hacking Shaq all game 5 w/o a whistle, along w/ Webber literally running into fisher to free up Bibby for the game 5 winner, the most blantant missed call on a moving pick ever. The bullshit went both ways, so the real champs came out on top like champs do. Keep crying tho lol

All to find out over a decade later that the game was rigged by the league to keep the Lakers close, all because of shaq/kobe being a bigger market and a dynasty. After that was revealed, which we all had assumed anyways, I quit being a fan of the nba. Im not sure how anyone can be a fan of a league that cheats and is not fair competition.
