An epidemiological study several years ago showed interesting correlations in how confident writing skills in earliest adults say 18 -23 seemed to correspond to uncanny capacity to maintain mental health memory speach etc. even in cases where the persons brain should advanced stages of Alzheimer’s or similar cognitive disease the patient showed no symptoms nor signs of it. For those unfamiliar Epidemiology requires studying both a healthy and an unhealthy subject simultaneously in order to try to understand why some are unaffected by outside influences or factors
or if it’s primarily genetics.
In the afore mentioned study the patients were all members of a convent who signed agreements to allow the brains bodies to be studied for science. In this case the sought out identical twin sisters only to verify results.

I’m always amazed at how much more mobile and agile the elderly are in southern Europe compared to the US. It just goes to show you how important walking is to do your errands and regular routine than using the car for everything. Move it or lose it applies here.

In Indian culture 'taking care' of parents amounts to do everything for them.Against immense social pressure I have encouraged my mother and my parents in law to remain active ,They are indeed much healthier than their peers ,those who are being 'taken care of'.

This is complete rubbish. Usually the girl boss types are acting masculine, which is fine in the work environment but in a relationship it means you are taking on the wrong role. It causes friction and its not because of the male shaming reason you are trying to imply here as men not being able to handle it. Its that if a woman is always bossing around their partner and taking the lead itll typically make both parties unhappy, the man for being emasculated and annoyed for always having to fight over any decision and the woman for resinting the man for being a pushover.

96 years old. I feel much younger now. Over 51 years, I am 96, too.
My grandpa died at the age of 97 and 1/2 .. his secrets were loving wife by his side up to the age of his 97.. having a balanced diet , being happy and lovely grandsons and granddaughters and lovely children... he died just after a few months of death of grandma .. this shows .. loving wife and loving partner is always a reason for a happy life ❤❤❤

I’ve read recently a great quote by Nikita Gill that went something like this.. “to name my past decisions mistakes or regrets is foolish. If I chose something it was the right decision at the time. We never purposely mistakes. We only call them that in hindsight.”
