Hearing that has to the biggest compliment an interviewer can get. Especially when it's from the Rock 🤯
I met the rock in 1999 the summer before he won the title from mick at survivor series. We were both working a video game convention together and before it started he was sitting by himself at a table. I went up and spoke with him for like 20 min about a variety of things not just wrestling. He signed a picture for my younger brother as I left and could not have been more down to earth and cool.
98 was when he won the title from Mick Foley but good story tho cool experience I always wanted to Meet The Rock
@@KingGoku32794 yup you are correct it was 1 year after 97 they repeated the screw job finish. So summer 98...I'm getting older so the dates just run together now lol. Was very cool of him to take a little time and chat with me.

It's one thing to receive kindness but it's another thing to also appreciate the kindness they've received and giving it back to others. I don’t know if it’s possible because he doesn’t do them but I genuinely think they need to do a podcast interview. It seems like Dwayne always enjoys these chats but they are so small. We need a much longer version.

Pizza and Tequila is definitely the ultimate weakness 😄 That part made me chuckle. Chris you are super kind, always asking smart, informative questions. But most importantly you make your guests feel welcomed. The Rock is a examplry of that too. Job well done on the interview 🏆
This is what you call a sincere interview
If you watch Craig Ferguson, he always had these personal conversations with celebrities. It was almost never about their movies or what they had to promote and he didn't ask questions that other interviewers asked. They felt at home and you could see how glad they were to be there. Same thing here. The interview was like a conversation and more about Dwayne. In the end of the day, everyone cares a lot more if you ask them questions about their success or their efforts into doing something, their hobbies, etc. rather than questions about work. We're all human beings and we aren't always happy to be doing the same thing all the time and make everything about our job. I would hope you can do a lengthy interview with him in the future Chris.

met Rock when i was 8 years old, he was filming "Walking Tall". he was late at the set&his bodyguard was rushing him. Rock took his time with us, spent about an hour(it was me, my brother, my friend&my dad. we were the only ones there). Never forgot that day
