Plz plz plz keep these deadliest warrior episodes coming!!!
They kinda did Sun Tzu dirty by giving him that mid-range weapon, when the Chinese had their own Halberd variant. I still think Vlad would win though.
Agreed, as Vlad had something Sun didnt....a got dayum Gun lol
Sun Tzu was a lover, not a fighter!!!😀😀😀
And vlad a man with war kinks 😂
Yes but the flaming arrow was just as useless
"Stay strapped or get clapped. "
Sun Tzu
Dude, I LOVE these Deadliest Warrior reviews! They remind me of the earlier uploads on this channel, reviewing Bully Beatdown. I'll watch anything Sensei Strangles puts out, but this series just hits the nostalgia button in the best possible way.
It is true Vlad would dip his bread in the blood, his tactics was to instill fear, Vlad was a very underrated tactician himself who stood toe to toe with the strongest and largest military in the world at the time and outsmarted and out maneuvered them and made their lives hell for years
Genius at propaganda and psychological warfare. Even if he didn’t really do all that, his enemies sure thought he did.
@@Kinography he didn't do it all the time obviously just enough for the word to spread which could of been just one time with a large enough audience
Loved this show in the 2000s every single episode
No he never dined on the blood and he was so ferocious because he hated the ottomans, they forced his father to give him up and he knew his enemy and what would strike fear in them. These old shows have no credibility these days where people can get actual information at the click of a button.
It's a show seeking ratings and entertainment. They're obviously going to exaggerate and sensationalize aspects of the people
This show is from 2009, the internet was in existence then.
You immediately got me laughing with, "Shout out to Dracula" out of nowhere.
Im so fucking glad your doing these reviews again.
A lot of the most heinous things Vlad ALLEGEDLY did were written about in German newspapers(they were actually woodcuts but basically the equivalent of newspapers of the time). There was an ongoing trade war and actual war between Vlad and German trade guilds in his kingdom so most historians think the Germans exaggerated the real things Vlad did.
One example, he DID have lots of people impaled but dipping his bread in their blood is considered to have been made up by those newspapers to make him look worse.
There’s also a story from later in his life when he was imprisoned by the King of Hungary that he would catch and impale rats and mice. These stories were spread by the Hungarian king and most historians believe they were made up so the King could use it as leverage over his neighboring kingdoms, i.e. basically telling them that they’d all better behave or he’ll let Vlad out of prison.
In summary, yes Vlad was pretty violent, but in reality he wasn’t much more violent compared to everyone else during the Medieval period
There is a famous woodcut style portrait that showed Vlad Tepesh eating on a banquet table outside, viewing a Forrest of impaled soldiers while he dined. This was a common sight through out the Wallacia kingdom, where his subjects could easily find themselves put to the stake. Vlad was a big believer of law and order on the Draconian level. An example, in the center of a wallacian town, where the public drinking fountain would be, there you would find a solid gold chalice that was for anyone to use, but No person would even dare think to steal. That's how terrified the vassals were under Prince Vlad Tepesh!!!
3:12 **Type O Negative starts to play in his head** 😂
Yes! I'm so glad you're doing this again!
Im sorry, but Vlad and the Freddy Mercury moustache had me in hysterics.. 😆 🤣 😂
I love these, man!
God, I loved this show! Thanks for bring it back to us. :)
This show was dope when it came out and now dope to see Steven react to it
Deadliest warrior was far from accurate or realistic, but the concept was too good to ignore. Would love to see a more serious reboot today
Dude! I love these videos!
Everyone knows Sun Tzu but very few know Vlad was a master tactician in his own right. Along with being a certified warrior on the battle field. You should really check out his story and see why he loved impaling.
National hero in Romania. The more i've dug in to his history the more i'm convinced much of his barbarity was propaganda to dehumanize him.
@googlename3859 much like every other hero for the people. Funny thing how it always seem to be that way isn't it?
@@googlename3859 Nope, not propaganda at all, Vlad was a very talented & skilled Terrorist, It's just that he overshadowed the brutality of the Ottomans, hence why their cruelty gets ignored, but he learned impaling from them
@@aburoach9268 i dont think you know what a terrorist is
"you gotta admit, that's an impressive shot to go through chainmail"
yes, a cheap mall ninja chainmail, a needle wouldn't go through proper 15th century mail which a nobleman would not try to save money on
These are awesome
@stevenstranglepeople you should do more of these , there literally 3 season , pirates vs knight , shaulin monk vs mauri warrior , jesse james vs al capone , comon man
I miss this show it was so over the top and lacked so much perspective lol I want more
Diggin you covering the Deadliest Warrior Series my G! 🤘🏽🫡 Strangle Gang Stand TF Up! 💪🏽🫡
I fn love your videos.... #1 in combat sport chat
Almost 2000yrs between their technologies lol ofc Vlad wins
Me and my brother loved watching this show when we were growing up
SG..... Sun Tzu is the man.
Sun Tzu talks a mean game but at the end of the day, he was a writer…Vlad the Impaler on the other hand can’t even read. Too busy impaling 🗡️
Back for another one!!
In a one-on-one fight Vlad’s going to win 9 times out of ten. Assuming Sun Tzu was a real person and not a pen name, there’s no primary evidence he participated in frontline combat. On the other hand, there are several primary sources about Vlad getting his hands dirty.
But if we have a scenario where both are leading armies against each other then it’ll be REALLY interesting because both were masters at unconventional strategies and tactics. Honestly in that case, it really could go either way
This was a great video, super funny comments. I also think the Dracula guy with his black painted fingernails, was entirely too into it . Creepy
A 1000 years between the two. Cmon dawg.
Ha ha ha. One on one Vlad wins 1000 times. Army vs Army, is where Tzu has strength. Don’t F with Dracula.
I loved this show
I seen this episode many times already. One thing I learned historically about Vlad was he has many legends about vampires plus his sword was said to be much longer and bigger than the Kiji sword. According to my college friend, Vlad's sword was said to be much more gigantic and it was said to be a two handed Flamberge sword which can take down multiple opponents and it can be used for impaling too obviously. As for Sun Tzu, for Chinese weapons, I know China had way more longer polearms such as the Dagger Ax Halberd or the Glaive (Kwan Dao) Type weapon, and they also had a longer jain sword too. Also we don't know if Sun Tzu really did exist at all. If this battle were to happen in real life. My speculation is that it most likely be a very bloody drawl. It would also depend on what strategy Sun Tzu uses in countering Vlad's attacks. Although I have to give the slight edge to Vlad because he is way more brutal than a war strategist and can win easily. I would actually be more afraid of Vlad than Sun Tzu. In the end yes Vlad would technically still be the clear winner.
Papa strangulation always putting out that heat 🔥
SG!!
So this is pretty much the Bruce Lee vs Mike Tyson debate. The martial scholar vs the psycho killer.
I’m sorry in advance…
“Idk, that thing the impaler guy had was waaay more impressive looking.” That’s what SHE said.
You could probably do a vid for most Spike shows back in the day
Johnny Yang and Tommy Leng ?! Their names sounding so similar makes me chuckles 🤭
Correction he didn't put heads on sticks he put people on sticks 🤣
Would love to see more of these deadliest warrior videos!
Im going to go with a resounding, "no". In response to whether he dined on human blood or not.
Just started, but Sun Tzu is " art of war" he should take it tbh.... lets find out SG
Glad they picked projectile weapons.
When the history channel was actually based. To answer anyone’s question, yes Vlad actually took punishment of crimes extremely seriously as you could imagine like burning a barn full of people with disabilities and that’s arguably the nicest way he un-alived people. To put it in perspective, he made the ottoman’s troops march through literal forests of impaled corpses. Yes Sun Tzu wrote the art of war, Vlad Tepesh wrote the book on utterly mind f**king his enemies into psyop oblivion.
This was Spike TV
He looks more like Dane Cook than Dane Cook looks like Dane Cook
Vlad would win for several reasons.
He was used to fighting armies larger than he had, and had strategies and knew how to move supplies in order to do so.
He was larger, well trained and was not likely to be frightened by his opponent. That sort of thing matters in a fight. He was also well educated, and had likely read the Art of War, or something similar.
The "Son of the Devil" thing was actually spawned by his detractors; and Dracula isn't a surname, it's a title.
"Little is known about the man itself" thats all you need to know about this been legit AF😂😂....
I loved this show, like when they did vampires vs zombies
I was legitimately looking up where to watch the show because of the last video
Next episode of deadliest warrior you watch green beret vs spetsnaz or mafia vs yakuza
Sun Tzu would win with out fighting
I've talked to multiple people who are involved in Medieval Combat and they have called BS on Sun Tzu being able to kung fu chop the pole axe and actually break it. Mostly this is due to the pole axe had a iron plate over where the axe head was inserted into the pole.
Vlad is the real booty warrior.
The steel crossbow would be ridiculously accurate, the expert could have easily shot that dummy in the face but obviously it was about wanting to test the armor. Repeating crossbow I would still go with though and I actually have one.
I think Elizabeth Bathory was more of an inspiration to the blood-drinking vampires do.
She'd bathe in and drink the blood of her virgin servants to "remain youthful."
Y'all remember the game of this!? The banner on the bottom brought that memory back lol
Apparently when Vlad Tepes was at war with the Turks, he was so offended by one of their diplomats, that he sent the guy back to his masters with his hat nailed to his head. The guy was a maniac, which is saying something when compared to the rest of medieval Europe.
jajaja esta buenisima esta saga de videos ahora
Also, lets not forget theres a 2000 year gap between the tech of these two
Historians widely believe that Sun Tzu is a pseudonym for an Imperial General. He used the pseudonym to avoid being executed for treason for sharing military tactics with enemy nations.
I think dining on the blood was bull, that was just a Dracula detail added for shock. But He like the Mongols was one of the first to use biological warfare with the large scale use of dead bodies and disease, he was a truly dark individual. Rise of ottomans is a really good show tells this story very well, and Mehmet vs Vlad 2nd season is fairly accurate to what happened.
Bruh this episode was so lop sided mis match! Took a guy from B.C. vs a guy in A.D. who had a gun...like bruh
It's all well and good having the art of war, but he didn't have all of those tactics straight out of the gate... when he funnily accumulated all his knowledge he was old af.... vlad would fuck him up all day
What about the poison which was shot?
My deadly duo against those two would be Hannibal & Ghengis Khan
Where my Vlad the Impaler crew at?
*crickets*
Damn i miss this show
Two deadliest warriors in less than a month?! What's happening is Santa here?
👏👏👏
We all know, better armor/protection with all everything else almost equal, will always vin!
Right where the Sun Tzu don't shine, you might say
Vlad brings the Kilij and Sun Tsu his favorite back scratcher... come on Spike... :D
Just because it takes longtime to reload the crossbow Class army had probably 100rds of crossbow soldiers
Dude wrote a book other was field tested
Here's some interaction and views for your view scavaging. When you have ideas for new content please let me know.
I don't want to well actually or anything, but this is actually a good matchup for all the wrong reasons. A lot of the stories of Vlad Tepes are propaganda, but he was pretty brutal fighting against the Ottomans and even German merchants who controlled his economy. This was because the HRE didn't help him, and he was essentially the gateway for the Ottoman empire into Europe. So he waged an asymmetric war against an army that had more men and resources, and really made it a pain in the ass for them, even though he eventually lost. Vlad wasn't some stupid, brutish guy, he was a master tactician in his own right, and fought and governed for the good of his people. That's why he's still a folk hero in Romania today.
Do Al Copne vs Jesse James next
For years i have been confused as to how that crossbow bolt didnt penetrate
As someone who watched this episode in middle school but(t) can't remember, I'll say Vlad got this one.
SUN TZU for the win THATS my pick "Edit- i lost SMH"
5:35
LOL HATS OFF TO YOU SIR...
you are quick with it hahaha
WU-TANG!
*FWIW Sun Tzu did have extensive BattleField Experience* He wasn’t one of these effeminate erudites tickling their navels & thinking deep thoughts
He was an experienced Field General , whose success was so great The Qin Emperor conscripted Sun Tzu to write down the concepts of his Military Science & the reasons for his great success. Sun Tzu wasn’t some mealy mouthed sissy la•la, but a Military Scientist with great clarity of thought & brilliance in communicating
Doesn’t China is the first country to Create
gunpowder and Artillery ?
Vlad fought on the front lines of his armies. He was typically outnumbered by on an average of 4 to 1. One on one he would devastate just about any historical leader.
Vlad hands down!
Vlad is actually a national hero of Romania and Vlad was successful against the Ottoman Empire but did not win the war. The Ottoman Empire was incredibly powerful at the time. Vlad simply had better weapons but some of the weapons they gave Sun Tzu were not his best. Also thrusting weapons tend to do greater damage than cutting weapons and have an easier time exploiting the gaps in armor. Thrusting weapons are also good dueling weapons. Even a longsword can cut equivalently to a katana as the katana isn't an overly curvy blade like the one Vlad has.
Vlad.........DID HIM.......DIIIIIIIRRRRTTTYYYYY!!!!
2000 apart lets put Roman centurion vs Navy Seal
Man vlads team are prettt weird but this wasn’t a fair fight at all why would they put a general vs an actual soldier in the front lines this is like setting up Dana white or a matchmaker vs a fighter
Team Sun Tzu has Son Goku and team Vlad has Danzig.
SG
romanians rarely use crossbow, they use composite bow or self bow.
Sun Tzu at warfare Chinese provinces were fielding armies of up to 400 000 men who where paid very little but got good money for every enemy head they collected.
In a one on one fight Vlad would dominate. Younger better armor horsman and much better swords. Vlad was an excellent warrior with horse and better equipment . Sun Tzu could have 20 or 30 x more soldietrs on the ground.
I've been summoned.
I wanna see genghis khan vs Vlad 😎
