- Who would win in a fight between Pirates, Vikings, Samurai, and other historical warrior archetypes? The answer is no one. Nobody wins if they’re playing this bland mess.

IRA v Taliban is a genuine episode of the Deadliest Warrior TV show - If that’s where you’re starting from, this game never had a chance!
And the arena being a multi storey car park really added to it.
God I loved that fight I legitimately thought the ira was losing until the final 2 seconds
The IRA used fucking slingshots in the show
@ZzyzzywiczZenzizenzic 😂😂😂
Though a bland-looking game, the fact that the battles are built around realism, in as much that a blow to the arm breaks that particular arm, and a single arrow to the head kills you immediately, is a novel idea. A game could be over in a second or drag on for hours, just like real battles. In so many games you inflict egregious damage on your foe, but it doesn’t really matter what the damage is. It all just chips away at a health bar in a consistent fashion. I like the attempt this game made at exploring realistic damage that is specific for the body part being injured.
So it's a worse Bushido Blade.
Look up hellish quart it’s based off real sword fighting with a physics based fighting. Different levels of realism but Yeag a sword to the face kills or getting hit 1-2 times means you would bleed out. The boss is a boss because he has actual armor as more common day travelers don’t wear full suits of gear and just had a sword. Fun game on steam and is fairly cheap with constant updates
Play bushido blade
I remember telling my mom that on Deadliest Warrior the demonstrators used a baseball bat on a pigs back to demonstrate how the Mafia would break your knees, and she was horrified that I told her in the checkout section of the grocery store 😭 I was in middle school about 2009 or so, time goes by so fast lol
Deadliest Warrior would still be a thing had they not replaced the nerd guy in the first season who looked really passionate in his role with that Navy Seal clown who always rolled his eyes when the show talks about one side that was going to lose at the end, which gave spoiler alerts almost 90% of the time. Also, that final season was when they jumped the shark with the finale being Zombies vs Vampires. Felt more like a middle finger to the history fans.
kinda like the history channel giving history fans the middle finger by making aliens canon to the world's history?
I'm not saying there AREN'T strange things in the skies, but assuming they are from space, AFTER Project Blue Book came to the decision that they aren't extraterrestrial.... if you doubt this read some Jacques Vallee or John Keel, who were in much contact with aerial phenomena in the 70's. whatever they are, they're not from space, despite what that ass "@AlienSweatHands would have you believe.
where was i? yeah, everything on TV is an insult to history fans. they just make shows based on what people WANT to see and believe, ignoring all evidence to the contrary.
They jumped the shark in season one with a “Taliban vs IRA” episode, which I believe has been excluded from releases in the UK and Ireland.
@@MrBeardsleyI'm absolutely begging that that's a real thing because that's the funniest shit I've ever heard
I remember when they did the Vampire/Zombie episode. That killed the series (pun intended).
@@mattball8622I saw it when it aired, I guarantee you it was real.
Not gonna lie that mechanic where you break the arm and he can no longer use it is pretty sick.
Yeah, this targeting certain areas of the body that become affected by the attack is pretty cool. With a bit larger budget, and a good deal more polish, this could have been something really exciting.
What's REALLY messed up, that and X-Ray moves were first utilized in the Fight Club game. This game plays like a budget Bushido Blade.
@@thedrewdogBushido Blade needs a remaster!
Teddy Roosevelt led American cavalry in Cuba in the Spanish-American War in 1898. T.E Lawrence (called Lawrence of Arabia by the press) was a British officer who fought alongside Arab forces fighting for independence against the Ottoman Empire in the middle east in 1916-18 during WWI. Lawrence was an archeology nerd who became very experienced in guerrilla combat for two years in a desert and Roosevelt was a giant expert hunter and gun enthusiast who only fought in one real battle although by all accounts did very well in it, so maybe they were evenly matched in a kind of guile vs strength kind of way
Somehow you wrote exactly what I was going to write! I agree completely! I’ll only add that the conceit of ‘which SPECIFIC famous soldier/warrior would win?’ is a bit odd. Because you can argue that ninjas have a different set of skills and weapons to a pirate, but Roosevelt and Lawrence were roughly contemporary, both made extensive use of guns, both trained in the Western European / North American military system, and were probably handy with a sword if needs be (be it an American cavalry sabre or a Damascene scimitar). It would probably depend on the day and their mood when it comes to ‘who would win.’ 😂
Part of a clutch of shows in the early aughts that tried to ape the Mythbusters and have explosions and violence while talking about science. My favorite was Human Wrecking Balls, where two southern strong men tore buildings apart bare handed, while a nerdy guy described leverage and weight to nobody in particular
This was the go to game for me and my teenage mates while we were getting high as a kite back then haha
This feels like it would be perfect for that.
You nailed it. We did the same
17:35 Peter genuinely enjoying the game.
I loved both Deadliest Warrior games back in the day and still do. There are so many laughs to be had playing with a buddy after a few smokes and drinks. I had no clue a physical copy existed until today!
I'd 100% play a remake/remaster of this game. It's the one fighting game that makes everyone on an even playing field. Someone won a Tekken tournament? That's neat. Instant death for em if I play my cards right in less than two seconds in the first round.
This game rules.
It seems to have a Bushido Blade vibe to it.
"Two Drunk Men Have a Fight" that killed me JAJAJAJAJA
well, you should probably not have stood there while drunk mens fighted in front of you. they killed you? and you're typing this as a poltergeist? you should make TV's turn to static at pubs during the Rugby playoffs. that's what i'd do as a poultry-geist.
I got the digital version on PS3 because my buddy and I were big fans of the show. We actually played it quite a bit for a while - and enjoyed it - but I do recall the novelty wearing off fairly quickly once we'd played a few rounds as each fighter.
I do wish a major dev or publisher would take another run at a fighting game that's more based on positioning and headgames than endless combo memorization. But, you know...not terrible like this one.
Definitely not saying this isn't terrible but there are some legitimate good ideas here, but the execution is a mess 😂
My drawing of William Ray Walrus from years ago finally comes full circle
I discovered the TV show through that mid-2000s Charlie Brooker show where he would watch crazy foreign TV shows with celebrity guests (Edit: this unlocked a memory and I found that very segment on youtube in a video called "Charlie Brooker on "The Deadliest Warrior"") . Just remember them watching the "IRA vs. Teliban" episode and him talking about how weird it was that it was trying to get you to cheer on your favoured terrorist organisation lol
That episode aired as the season one finale in the US (it never aired in the UK), which shows you how quickly they started running out of ideas.
IRA vs Taliban was the "controversy bait" episode of season 1. Each season had one with Waffen SS vs Viet Cong in 2 and Saddam Hussein v Pol Pot in 3. Sure, they were some of the worst episodes of the show, but people still talk about them so the controversy bait succeeded
"You have been watching" was the show, if anyone wants to find it.
For as silly and historically inaccurate (especially in seasons 1 and 2) this show was, I can't help but love it, especially season 3! It got me introduced to a bunch of cultures I didnt know about, and made me curious to learn of them on my own. Shoutout to The Deadliest Warrior Podcast for rekindling my interest over the last few years!
I um... I still play this game on my 360... 😂
No shame there. Play what gives you fun!
Have you tried For Honor? Not exactly a one to one, but same basic premise.
@@tylarjackson7928 I'll give it a try, thank you!
I noticed that to @@tylarjackson7928
Down to play some day. I just got the game.
Men with hats have always been superior, just look at JK from Jamiroquai.
The Butterfield impression was perfect.
Worst games is simply the best gaming show on the net.
Bravo boys
Nah, these games were like $10 a piece and it was worth every penny! We had so many great times with them at game night.
very historically and biologically acurate. even mortal kombat didn't allow heads to be removed IN THE FIRST ROUND. pirate magically respawns his head and arm. totally validates everything the TV show taught me: "pirates are made of pixie-dust and rainbow unicorns and can regrow their limbs like lizards"
SCIENCE IS AWESOME!
Ben has it right, Deadliest Warrior was a great show...at first. They started out actually trying to measure what the weapons and armor could actually do, it was really interesting to see what different cultures and time periods came up with. After season 1 it quickly devolved into a bunch of stupid matchups and random dudes abusing ballistic gel covered plastic skeletons for vague reasons. In the first season the fight at the end was just a part of it, what was actually interesting was seeing the weapons tested. After that the whole show was just about the ridiculous fake battle by stunt teams at the end that had nothing to do with any of the "tests". They stopped even bothering to get experts and just hired random actors by the end, too.
The tests determined who won the battles you 🤡
@krazykuz13cmc The fight was won based on who the writers arbitrarily decided would win. It was not based on any sort of real analysis.
I remember one episode having a knight in plate armor fight a pirate with a sword and a pistol, and the pirate won. A warrior who's been training for combat his entire life wearing full armor, against a bandit with little to no combat training using weapons with 0% chance of piercing the former's armor, and the bandit wins. What a load of bull. It wasn't the only bad episode but it was the worst I remember
12:30 I love Forged in Fire. The spin-off is called Forged in Fire: Knife or Death, hosted by everyone’s favorite terrible wrestler, Bill Goldberg. I’ve never seen an episode of it.
I knew this game had massive issues, mostly with balancing but I enjoyed playing this mindlessly xD
Deadliest warrior started off as deadliest warrior and ended up as epic rap battles of history (without the rap battles)
Fun little history fact, modern historians are mixed on whether or not Joan of Arc actually saw combat. There are writings from Joan of Arc herself that claim she never saw battle, but we also know she was captured "in arms" in battle multiple times. While she likely was in many wars, she also likely never actually killed anyone or even injured someone in combat.
She also would beat members of her camp with the flat-end of her sword.
She won her episode of Deadliest Warrior.
Tomahawk Pro skater
The fact that you said Tekken first, proves that everyone needs to accept it's the greatest fighting game series ever made
Took me way too long to figure out the "end of legs". Sigh.
If you don't play as The Spartan, you lose.
I was watching the women's triple jump event at the World Indoor Athletics Championship this morning lol.
Deadliest Warrior stumbled across the finish line with the torch so Death Battle could pick it up. Whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you.
I'd prefer new Deadliest warrior over death battle at this point tbh.
@@ZER0O91 for fiction and the other for non fiction
@@johnlawful2272 I meant if I had to choose between the two.
Can you guys play either auto destruct for the Playstation or primal rage for the Sega genesis?
Ironically this is probably how a lot of actual sword fights would play out.
Now you should try Hellish Quart to stay in the genre!
I’m a bit late. But when I saw this thumbnail, I immediately clicked and thought “is this a NEW VIDEO?!”
Then I checked and saw it WAS!
Joy!
Growing up this was one of me and my brothers favorite games, this game is one if the greatest, most creative games out there and will always be a classic!
I am the proud owner of a physical copy of this debacle of a game. I loved the show but I was high a lot when I was younger
Me and my mates loved playing this game against each other. It was not a good game at all. The best part of the game was being able to one shot each other with ranged attacks and cutting off limbs. The history part of the game was its only redeming quality
"Your head's over there!" 😂
Two English fellas having a bit of a time against Shaka Zulu, it fits.
I played the hell out of this when it came out. Man I miss it
The second game from what I could remember was a considerable improvement over the original. It had a zombie mode that was pretty unique.
26:00
"It happened again!"
How Peter didn't clock and on burst out laughing is beyond me that joke was on point.
Was Wallace beheaded??
@@tylarjackson7928 in the Mel Gibson film, yes.
In real life, allegedly, he was gutted prior to being quartered - and his head was displayed on London bridge.
@@fromthegamethrone Oh okay. I don't know hardly anything about him, but that's pretty harsh
@@tylarjackson7928 the above is just part of the story
Allegedly
He was dragged naked behind a horse to his trial, where there was no jury and he was given no defence
He then had his man parts cut off and burnt before his eyes
He was then gutted whilst still alive, hanged and quartered.
The literal definition of hanged drawn and quartered, with a few nasty bits added on top
I remember this show, barely made it past the beginning of 2nd season if I remember.
😅👍
I'm nostalgic about the sequel Deadliest Warriors Legends, me and my classmates used to play it all the time
Teddy was part of the rough riders and a legit problem apparently
There was another series i used to enjoy of the same ilk called Monster Bug Wars.
This genuinely sounds like an awesome idea for a game. Someone get on this!
If i could, i'd send you guys a copy of Largo Winch to play.😂
looks like a good game to play with friends haha I was surprise with the blood hahah
I unironically loved this game juat for the damage modeling. Would love to see a new fighting game using realistic damage. Winning with a thrown weapon right at the start was always fun 😅 (Preferred the first one; Legends wasn't as fun imo)
The sad thing is that, with a bit of work, the first game could have been good
The ira vs the Taliban episode was the worst but often certain things would just not work i seem to remember a ninja throwing ground up glass dust into a attackers face and eyes only for the attacker to be uneffected i dont care how beefy you are eyes are sensitive things and most people would probably be screaming on the floor i worked in kitchens and the tiniest drop of hot oil in your eyes is enough to make grown men cry broken glass would probably not be any better
Who remembers the OGs, 4 player podcast playing this? Good times...
These game are actually pretty dope if you play them slowly and methodically. It would've been even better if they merged the rosters and stages into one game.
3:37 omg lol
Great idea but horrible execution, epitomized.
Im Brazilian, tks for the video, i luv urs english, so clean, help me so much to learn.
This game would be infinitely better if you wore the hat of you defeated opponent in later rounds.
My friend Matt and I would get high as hell and have tournaments this game was way better than it looks i promise haha
I unironically enjoyed the shit out of this game when I was younger, but to be fair I've never played Bushido Blade.
This game is definitely bad, but I did have a lot of fun with it at the time. Like a janky mix of MK and Bushido Blade.
This show was wild.
This actually looks pretty cool, if I ever see it cheap somewhere I'd pick it up
10bucks on digital store(legends)on the Xbox 360. It's definitely worth it & it's agame to own at least before the market place gets shutdown.
I bought this on the online store
Played it versus with friends on the couch
Also, this game seems pretty alright. Not a great fighting game, but something you'd boot up to mess around with some friends for a bit.
Yeah, the game wasn't terrilbe, but wasn't amazing either. I still loved it though.
i actually used to enjoy this game back in the day. It was like bushido blade
This is identical to the free to play spartacus game
I loved this goofy show. They always pretended like they had this big special computer they fed all the physical data into, and it spat out those terrible live action segments that felt farmed out to a recreation company, but I bet it was just a ps2 level physics based combat modeling system and they made most of it up, since we never see the real math they used. Hopefully better than this game, but therein lies the irony of how bad it is. The show just flowed numbers and equations over the screen while an announcer guy sounds impressed with the high technology in use. Still the fun was the people they brought on, they got so competitive over history, it was great nerd content among the normies.
Just what i needed ❤
Ear glory=Earn glory. I'm paused at the beginning of that part so idk if you guys figure that out or not but that's my guess.
I used to love playing this online lol
Isle of Wiped my face..?
I honestly think this game could've been something if they didn't die so quickly
It’s supposed to be based on “realistic combat” unlike other fighters
Isn’t Hellish Quart just an update of this game?
Used to think this show was awesome when i was younger but i kinda checked out when they put modern military against each other. Now i scratch that itch by watching death battles of fictional characters fighting lol
I remember when Noah "The Spoony One" Antwiler gave this game a negative review back in 2010, and he received a surprising amount of criticism and pushback from fans
He was right.
I miss that guy
The game wore thin pretty quick but I would not say these were “bad” games.
This video hasd eard glory, mi douds 🎉
I actually really enjoyed this game. It’s sort of like bushido blade.
Lmao the pirate OP with that gun u can one shot someone 😂😂😂😂
I'm sure I've seen this show and it was something like taliban vs nazis though that mightve been a fever dream
I liked this game, the spartan spear was too op though
I had friends who loved this game so I was surprised to see it here on Worst Games Ever. Decided to look up the reviews and they're nowhere near 'Worst Games' quality in my opinion. The original games reviewed quite well and this one only did a little bit worse but still decent enough. Sure a couple of low reviews but there were more above 50 which to me signals that a game is alright.
A very grood video!
Finger guns!!?
*sirens in British*
This looks like a fun mess
Oh this is the sequel....thats different
Isn’t it “err on the side of caution”?
That m&m game is not the worst game ever it just ok
These games were definitely not the worst
I personally loved the game it was so fun to play
amazing arcade title
Didnt think it was a bad game. Coulda been improved upon in future sequals
